Job Summary

Learning Support Assistants support PiP’s Development Workers to deliver a flexible programme of learning and development opportunities; ensuring that students can actively participate and engage in sessions, giving student’s maximum opportunity to learn and develop. 

PiP’s programmes focus on four learning pathways:

- Independent Living Skills

- Creative and Performing Arts

- Health, Wellbeing and Happiness

- Employment and Vocational Skills

The role incorporates session delivery, recording and monitoring student progress, key working responsibilities such as liaising with student’s support networks and involvement in PiP’s wider work.

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London.  All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment. This role will be working across two teams who work with clients who have mental health support needs, wanting to gain paid employment.

We are recruiting an Administrator for a new primary care Individual Placement and Support (IPS) employment service in the London Borough of Enfield. 

The Administrator will play a key role in the teams, supporting the team of employment workers as well as working alongside the Team Leads to ensure that records are kept up to date and data is easily accessible for reporting.

Experience of working in an employment team is not essential but you must be highly organised, have a problem-solving attitude and be willing to work with the other teams’ Administrators to develop joint systems and processes.

Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to at least intermediate level knowledge and skills of office software including Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Bi. The successful candidate will need be able to communicate with a wide range of people.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Registered Practitioner Psychologist with a background in clinical psychology to join our team in Croydon. The service offers a psychologically informed environment across four sites, providing low to high support forensic mental health services to our residents with forensic mental health needs, complex conditions, and dual diagnosis. In this role, you will drive the delivery of evidence based psychological assessments and interventions aimed at the rehabilitation and reintegration of our residents into the communities. This is a creative, evolving, and impactful role which works closely with our Group Psychological Lead and wider teams to provide support to staff and at times residents to support in providing a streamlined and psychologically informed service.

Key Responsibilities include: 

• Provide advice, guidance, and support to the team with supporting our residents to overcome personal challenges and create a supportive environment
• Advise and streamline best practices, and enhance the overall skills and expertise of the team to deliver high quality care and support
• Provide clinical supervision to the team
• Provide highly specialised psychological assessments for our residents with mental health and complex needs
• Exercise full clinical responsibility for residents psychological care as a care coordinator within a multidisciplinary team
• Formulate and implement plans for various therapy routes and management of assessing mental health conditions based upon appropriate conceptual frameworks and evidence-based practices

About You

We're looking for someone who is a self-starter, able to proactively encourage, take leadership and ownership for creating a psychologically informed environment. You will be able to communicate highly complex and sensitive information effectively within the organisation and with external partners, collaborating with external stakeholders regularly in a multidisciplinary approach. You will be able to utilise your own expertise and support in empowering the wider team to enhance their skills to deliver a service which is supportive, safe, and in line with best practice for the organisation and external regulatory bodies. 

• HCPC Registration is essential
• Post-graduate doctoral level training as a Registered Practitioner Psychologist including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology
• Previous experience working as a qualified clinical and/or forensic psychologist, including working with people with complex backgrounds/needs and a good understanding of the sector we run our services in
• Ability to teach, train, consult, and deliver clinical supervision
• Understanding of criminology, psychology, and behavioural patterns, and how they link to different behaviours and engagement
• Ability to understand and apply safeguarding protocols as they arise
• Ability and willingness to show flexibility in working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents

As Behaviour Officer, you'll take the lead, figuratively and literally, when it comes to the assessments of our dogs and their training programmes. You'll play a key role in supporting adopters, during the adoption process and after rehoming, to ensure that every dog has the best possible chance of successfully settling into their new life.  

What does this role do?

As a Behaviour Officer you’ll: 

• assess the behaviour of dogs, before they enter the centre and during their stay, to identify potential behaviour needs, as per Dogs Trust Standard Operating Procedures. 
• design and implement Behaviour Modification Programmes and training plans to enhance each dog’s chances of rehoming, in support of the centre’s priorities based on individual dog welfare and requirements.
• oversee and support the implementation of training and behaviour plans by colleagues. Work with other departments to modify and seek guidance. 
• monitor the progress of individual training and rehabilitation programmes and maintain detailed records of the progress of each dog. Provide professional training, support and assessment colleagues. 

Could this be you?

To be successful in this role, you'll have a thorough knowledge of dog behaviour and welfare, including understanding the principles underlying learning and the ability to write training and behaviour programs. You'll also have achieved ATBC competence at Animal Trainer level and have achieved specific competences from the Behaviour Technician standard. You'll have excellent communication skills with the ability to handle delicate situations sensitively and professionally and have the ability to and experience in handling difficult dogs. But above all, you'll be passionate and committed to the work of Dogs Trust.

A full, manual driving licence is also essential, as driving will be a part of the role.

How about discovering wading birds among the mudflats, watching Dartford Warblers darting about in the scrub, and spotting seals from the shoreline.

We carefully manage Arne's unique mix of habitats to create the ideal conditions for wildlife to thrive. As a threatened habitat in the UK, our lowland heath is of particular importance and many rare birds including Dartford Warblers, Woodlarks and Nightjars call it home. But it’s not just birds - Smooth Snakes, Silver-studded Blue Butterflies, Ladybird Spiders and Yellow Centaury (a rare heathland plant) can also be found at Arne.

As our Health, Safety and Facilities Manager you will provide efficient facilities management and Health & Safety services to and for Friends of the Earth’s offices, workspaces, staff and volunteers. 

We are looking for someone with experience of a broad range of facilities management across multiple sites and the ability to communicate effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds and with different needs.

Entry level Health and Safety qualification or working towards this is essential along with up-to-date knowledge of current legislation and experience of carrying out assessments. 

Key Skills and Attributes:  

• Practical experience of a broad range of facilities work, including Hard and Soft Facilities matters across multiple sites. 

• Management of third parties’ contractors hired to complete facilities tasks, using method statements, risk assessments and a permit to work scheme. 

• Proven experience of improving supplier value through contract review, market research and contract negotiation 

• Entry level Health and Safety qualification (IOSH Managing Safely Certificate or similar) and working towards NEBOSH qualification, with up-to-date knowledge of current legislation and experience of carrying out Risk Assessments, DSE Assessments, etc. 

• Experience of communicating effectively and building strong relationships with people from a variety of backgrounds and with different needs, both individually and in groups, and working with sometimes challenging clients. 

• Ability to safely perform equipment installation/elementary repair work and manage/assist in the movement of office apparatus. 

• Lead and manage projects and provide training to staff within a facilities context. 

Special working conditions  

• This role is a key holder for our offices, and the holder must be prepared to be on call in the event of an emergency. 

• There will be the occasional need for travel within the UK, with the requirement to stay away from home overnight on occasions. 

The team:  

Working closely with and managing the Facilities Assistant, you will ensure Friends of the Earth meets the required Health and Safety standards. You will be part of our vital Infrastructure team, sitting within the Finance and Operations Directorate.

Guts UK is the only charity that covers the digestive system from top to tail, including the

gut, the liver and the pancreas. The charity focuses particularly on the conditions that have no other specific charity or voice - conditions that are underserved, such as pancreatitis, diverticular disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), childhood gut and liver disease, and digestive cancers. With their mission being to improve the lives of the millions of people affected by digestive conditions, they are looking for their first Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager to help them reach that goal.

The Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager is responsible for developing and implementing plans to maximise income from corporate partners and high net worth individuals with the propensity to donate significant sums. There is huge scope to develop both income streams at Guts UK, as this is the first dedicated position covering these income streams.

With some fantastic corporate partnerships in place already, there is great potential to build on the existing foundations and leverage those corporate partnerships to secure more ranging from transactional right up to transformational.

The philanthropy function has green shoots to nurture and develop. This is an exciting role for a candidate who wants to grow and shape this income stream, and demonstrate their personal impact on generating income, and providing donors with an incredible supporter experience.

This specialist manager role would suit someone who is already operating at a senior fundraiser or manager level, or someone who can demonstrate experience of developing a corporate and/or major donor pipeline, creating operational plans and delivering income. Guts UK is a small charity with big ambition so a background that includes working within a smaller charity would be helpful for the candidate to have but isn't essential.

We are seeking a part-time Money Skills Coordinator to help us deliver our ambitious plans to equip more individuals with money skills. The primary purpose of this role is to manage Crosslight’s money skills courses that are attended by the local community as well as our debt advice clients. These are delivered online or in-person in a range of different locations across our network.

The role holder will take ownership of the planning and running of our money skills workshops, including setting them up on our systems. They will also act as a ‘champion’ for the courses, promoting them internally and externally, including through community engagement and outreach in different locations. And they will have the opportunity to deliver some of our workshops, as well as supporting and equipping our volunteers to do so to a high standard. 

For the right candidate, this role is an exciting opportunity to play a part in supporting a wide range of people, through excellent organisational, interpersonal, technical and presentation skills.

• The role is based in our Kensington head office and across a range of locations in South & West London and West Kent, delivering in-person support to our branches running our Money Skills workshops.  The role will also entail some evening working e.g. workshops, forums or team training (TOIL will be available). There may be some opportunities for remote working.

About the role

We are looking to recruit a support worker to be the main point of contact for a specific set of service users who access housing, EET (education, employability, and training) and mental health support through First Choice Housing. You will work closely with those service users that you support to develop support plans, identify appropriate activities and services, and collaborate with internal and external partners to help each person achieve their goals and deliver great impact. You will work with the Programmes and Impact Manager and external partners to develop programmes or projects of interest to our service users and encourage engagement. As support worker you will also support the delivery of discreet streams of work including one to one or group digital skills sessions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for coordinating tailored support for each client to help them ultimately enter sustainable independent living (likely in the privately rented sector). This includes supporting service users to: access internal and external opportunities and services; liaise with voluntary and statutory agencies; and maintain their tenancies with FCH and to access privately rented housing.
• Managing the onboarding of clients who are newly accessing FCH services. This includes assessing client needs and co-producing support plans; supporting their integration into their shared accommodation with their housemates; and helping them identify local amenities.
• To maintain weekly contact with service users assigned to you as part of building strong relationships and delivering high quality services.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with external stakeholders including the local authority, other charities and community leaders. Maintain awareness of the activities and services on offer locally and disseminate knowledge to the broader team as appropriate (please note this is a shared responsibility across the team).
• Update and accurately maintain First Chocie Housings database, including collecting timely data for monitoring and evaluation purposes. This data will include recording interactions with service users, progress towards achieving or meeting goals, baseline and subsequent outcomes stars and client surveys.
• Where appropriate, work with the Programmes and Impact Manager to manage volunteers delivering discreet programmes.
• Proactively working with the broader team to improve service delivery and drive impact.

Essential Requirements:

• 5 A*- C GCSEs or up to NVQ Level 2/3
• Full UK driving licence (you would only be required to travel within Swindon for work purposes)

• Understanding of trauma informed or psychologically informed approaches
• Experience supporting people to develop independent living skills

You are an experienced philanthropic fundraiser with a strong track record of securing major gifts, a confident approach and the ability to think creatively. Your ability to build rapport and relationships swiftly will enable you to lead on major gift fundraising (securing donations of £100k-£1m+), working with a range of donors (corporates, trusts and individuals). Your ability to establish credibility and foster trust across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders will be key to your success. A professional background or personal interest in STEM will be important although you do not need to be a Chemistry or sciences graduate: we are looking for an enthusiast for knowledge!

You will work closely with our existing team, supporting the delivery and organisation of the IntoUniversity programme in the centre.

The main duties of the role

To deliver the IntoUniversity programme effectively to children and young people in different settings, including schools-based workshops, Academic Support sessions and educational visits. This includes positive behaviour management and adherence to the IntoUniversity safeguarding policy.

• To assist with the organisation and delivery of the Academic Support, FOCUS and Mentoring Programmes.
• To assist the IntoUniversity Centre Leader in liaising with schools and other partner bodies, in organising the classroom and resources and in planning project delivery. 
• To update and maintain IntoUniversity displays, publicity and resources.
• To work with the IntoUniversity Centre Leader to recruit children and young people to the programme, including after-school Academic Support and FOCUS Weeks. 
• To develop educational resources and worksheets for use across all IntoUniversity programmes. 
• To ensure compliance with all necessary regulations and legal requirements, including the Children’s Act,  Children and Young People (Scotland) Act, Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act, Protection of Vulnerable  Groups (Scotland) Act, and legislation and policies related to Equal Opportunities and Health & Safety. 
• To champion diversity and inclusion in your role at all times, referring to the Diversity and Inclusion Staff Responsibilities Guide.

Days of employment (if term time only)
You will be employed 188 days (of 4 hours each) per year, made up as follows: 

• 164 days of work (inclusive of additional days below)
• 18 days of paid annual leave (to be taken outside of local school term times and on any bank holidays  occurring during term time). For the avoidance of doubt, non-working time during school holidays which is in excess of your holiday entitlement shall be unpaid.

Additional 32 hours (or 8 days of 4 hours each)

These will be agreed between you and your line-manager, and may include days during school holidays. They will typically include three whole team meetings, one delivery team meeting and the annual staff conference. These will be pro-rated based on when you join in the academic year.

Starting salary is £28,250 (pro-rata)
Pro-rated salary is £10,885 per annum for 16
hours per week.
