Key Responsibilities:
- Through comprehensive and considered research, you’ll outline a sustainable and achievable fundraising strategy that identifies and prioritises a pool of potential grant giving trusts and foundations funders for GFB. Your work will demonstrate your commitment to excellence.
- You will manage the ongoing relationships with grant giving trusts and foundations funders, ensuring they receive excellent stewardship, timely reporting and that GFB is able to maximise its existing potential funding streams.
- In this role, you will forge relationships with potential funders, develop and submit timely and winning funding applications and work alongside GFB’s impact and operations team to provide relevant and impactful feedback to funders.
- You will proactively identify, engage and build good relationships with prospective corporate donors, successfully securing them as funding partners.
- You will deepen engagement and grow the relationships, partnerships and collaborative potential with existing corporate donors.
- Working with colleagues across GFB, you will develop authentic, compelling, creative and winning funding and partnership proposals that can successfully engage prospective partners through the alignment of our values, vision and strategic work with their needs, motivations and areas of interests. Alongside this you will engage potential funders in our Changing Minds work as we seek to change the conversation on food poverty in our area to a proactive and preventative rather than reactive approach.
- You will work collaboratively with other local organisations and Trussell affiliated food banks across London and the South East, identifying and progressing opportunities for joint funding proposals and partnerships.
- You will develop, monitor and manage a fundraising portfolio capable of generating an income that not only covers our annual charitable operating spend but also follows a fundraising framework that sustainably allows Greenwich Foodbank as an organisation to reach its strategic goals.
- You’ll establish a fundraising pipeline, including a range of KPIs that can be tracked and that will enable you to make informed projections regarding future income.
- You will forge strong relationships with stakeholders across the local community and the wider Trussell network, sharing best practice and learning from other charities across the network. You will proactively take advantage of any fundraising training and skills development opportunities and engage with any joint fundraising opportunities.

Roles and Responsibilities
Grant Operations (55%)
- Lead on the implementation of a recent grantmaking review, conducted by the Impact Team, including revision of key grant templates and processes: due diligence, proposal development, assessment rubric, recommendation reports, reporting, partner surveys and grant exit.
- Lead on the summary of progress towards our grantmaking KPIs, providing detailed reports and recommendations for the SLT, Impact Committee and Trustees on a quarterly basis.
- Lead on the management and development of our Impact Committee, a formal governance body overseeing our grantmaking and impact, comprising 4 Youth Advisory Board members and 4 Trustees.
- Ensure that the Youth Advisory Board has sufficient opportunity to feed into (and shape) activities of the impact team, by collaborating with the Senior Youth Participation Manager
- Support the development and implementation of our new CRM system, ensuring data is captured by Partnership Managers and kept up to date.
- Support the Impact team to identify potential grant applicants by researching organisations in fields and geographies of interest to Mission 44, networking and attending relevant events
- Support Partnership Managers as they lead the day-to-day grant assessment and relationship management with our partners. Support the Impact team to maintain relationships and regular communication with our grantees, including site visits and attendance at partners’ events.
Funder Plus (20%)
- Work with the Impact Team to implement (and continually improve) our Funder Plus programme, ready for delivery in 2026/27 - with input and consultation from a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Meanwhile in 2025/26, support the Partnership Managers in their aim to provide additional support beyond financial grants which help our grantees to build their capacity, leadership potential and resilience - this is likely to involve regular communication with the fundraising team and liaison with our major corporate partners
Research, Learning and Evaluation (15%)
- Lead on the data collection and impact reporting processes which have been developed to capture learning, evidence and impact data from our programmatic work.
- Support our partnership managers to use the data collection and impact reporting processes, ensuring we’re able to collect and analyse key impact data on a regular basis
- Work with our Head of Strategy and Learning and colleagues in the Impact team to help us clearly and confidently articulate the difference we’re making as a foundation.
- Identify opportunities to improve the systems and processes we use to generate appropriate impact data, research, case studies and evidence of our impact
- Identify opportunities to collate and share learning across the Mission 44 team, to influence and inform our future grant-making and organisational strategy
- Build and maintain strong relationships with a range of peer grantmakers, charities, and other external stakeholders within the philanthropic sector, identifying opportunities for Mission 44 to share our learning externally, where appropriate.
Fundraising and Communications (10%)
- Support fundraising efforts by providing data and case studies to include in fundraising proposals and grant reports
- Support engagement between our partners and our donors, by facilitating the delivery of skills-based volunteering activities
About You

Overall purpose of the role
The Senior Communications Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional communications to enhance Orbis UK's profile in both the UK and the Middle East. About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and deliver high-quality financial information to a diverse portfolio of clients

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of charity finance, skilled in Xero, bookkeeping, payroll, reporting, audit preparation, HMRC filings and support with funding reports. You may be an individual already set up for freelance work, or a firm used to providing finance support to charities or arts organisations. I am working exclusively with a national homeless charity on a permanent People and Operations Manager role, paying £43,000 per annum. The charity’s aim is to end homelessness and ensure everyone has a place to call home. They do this through providing grants to individuals and organisations working with people experiencing homelessness, supporting frontline workers across the UK, and advocating for change.
The organisation is based in Holborn and offers hybrid and flexible working to all staff, going into their central London office 1-2 days per week. The charity currently has around 25 employees but is looking to grow over the next couple of years, so it is an exciting time to join the charity. You will report to the Chief of Staff, who is friendly and supportive.
The purpose of this People and Operations Manager role, paying £43,000 per annum, is to shape the charity’s internal systems, culture and operations.
Some of the key responsibilities of the job include:
- Acting as a trusted HR generalist for all people-related matters, including policies, performance management, employee relations, benefits and compliance.
- Supporting the design and implementation of a people plan that enhances staff experience, wellbeing and culture across the employee lifecycle.
- Coordinating hiring processes and leading onboarding and induction, collaborating closely with hiring managers and external partners.
- Managing the learning and development platform, sourcing and booking training sessions and preparing reporting data for the leadership team and Board.
- Promoting a culture of equity, inclusion and belonging by supporting initiatives and embedding inclusive practices in policies and operations.
- Managing the day-to-day operations across key back-office functions including IT systems, insurance, facilities, procurement and supplier relationships.
- Leading on governance administration, including preparing for trustee meetings, managing the board portal, maintaining statutory records and liaising with regulators.

This will include organising volunteering days that inspire action, delivering lunch and learn sessions that deepen understanding of our cause, and finding creative ways for partners to make a real difference. This role will also drive new business, proactively building relationships with companies who share our values and want to help young people fulfil their potential.
