• We want everyone with Prader-Willi syndrome to get equal access to diagnosis and treatment no matter where in the world they live and to ensure better, more consistent outcomes for people with the syndrome and their families.

• Our membership comprises PWS associations in 47 countries and we support individual families and professionals in over 70 other countries.

Key Fundraising Responsibilities

• Develop communications content that will invigorate our existing donors and inspire new ones leading to increased giving by individuals to IPWSO.
• Focusing in particular on our website and social media channels, communicate our achievements, impacts and needs with a view to influencing IPWSO’s online supporters to make donations and engage in fundraising initiatives.
• Provide outstanding donor care to encourage a high level of retention and repeat donations.
• Work with IPWSO’s Fundraising Committee on a variety of fundraising initiatives, which may include a new collaborative global fundraiser to be rolled out in 2025.

The Coproduction Service Manager is responsible for the operational leadership of coproduction, involvement and engagement. Overall purpose

The Philanthropy Manager will manage and steward a portfolio of funders and donors – across trusts and foundations, statutory sources and major donors – to secure annual and multi-year gifts in support of Breaking Barriers’ vision. As well as managing relationships with our existing donors there will be a focus on creating new relationships through proactive prospecting and developing a long-term strategic approach to stewardship and relationship development.

You will be an ambitious, enthusiastic, energetic, and autonomous fundraiser with a demonstrable passion for supporting people from a refugee background. You will have a strong track record of high-value relationship management and fundraising, ideally specialising in Trusts, Statutory, Major Donor fundraising or a related area. We are looking for someone who can successfully secure and steward gifts of 5 figures and above – so evidence of stewarding high-value relationships and high-quality written skills are key. You will collaborate with additional fundraisers across Trusts, Statutory, Corporate and Major Gifts to coordinate approaches and maximise opportunities across all functions.

Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse (AAFDA) was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.  

Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. The actual number of suicides as a result of domestic abuse remains unknown. AAFDA’s prime function is to provide families in England and Wales with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after domestic homicide.

As a growing charity, AAFDA is looking for an exceptional candidate to join our supportive team and lead our finance and resource management functions. The role will provide and manage the HR, administration and finance activities of the charity and sit within the Senior Leadership Team.

The Role

The Programme Funding Manager provides cross-team support to strengthen the organisation’s funding and budget management functions and ensure the successful delivery of GGF’s grantmaking and other programmatic activities. This includes collaborating with multiple teams within GGF UK and GGF US including the Programmes, Grants Management, Finance and Philanthropic Partnerships teams, to design and implement systems, processes and improvements to ensure high quality budget management and high standards of donor and regulatory compliance across all funded activity.

The ideal candidate for this role will have substantial experience in a similar capacity within charitable, environmental, development, social justice, feminist, gender, or human rights organisations, particularly in an international setting. They will be adept at enhancing collaboration across multiple functional teams, including those operating internationally, to ensure effective and compliant funding and budget management, especially with restricted income. The candidate will demonstrate a strong track record in designing, managing, and refining systems and processes for better budget management and donor compliance in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Their experience should include managing large, multi-year programmatic budgets exceeding $5 million and ensuring adherence to donor agreements and regulatory requirements, such as those of the Charity Commission.

In this role you’ll be both strategic and hands-on, solely managing the financial controls for this small charity with a £350k annual turnover.  You will support the Director and senior management team through your management of financial processes, policy and planning.

This will include using accountancy software to process income and expenditure, producing management accounts for the senior management team and Board, and ensuring the charity reports to its key funders, including Arts Council England.

We’re looking for someone with focus, efficiency and precision to take responsibility of our company finances.

Unfazed by working mostly alone, you’ll be incredibly organised with your time and workload to ensure processes are handled in a timely and accurate fashion. Ideally, you’ll be passionate about the work that we do both as a professional arts organisation and also as a small charity based in Bedfordshire with altruistic values.

You’ll have experience of working with small organisations and charities, knowledgeable about the areas of financial control that you will be our expert on.

The role is an employee position for one day per week, however we are open to discuss flexibility of working hours and the possibility of freelance working with the successful candidate.

Hours of Work: 7.5 hours per week (1 day).  These hours can be worked flexibly.

We're looking for two experienced bid and/or fundraising professionals to join our team as Bid and Fundraising Manager (internally known as Development Manager) on a permanent basis.

You'll be responsible for the development of a portfolio of donor relationships and will work across all parts of the proposal process from prospect research all the way through to submissions. As Development Manager, you'll work alongside the Associate Directors of Development to support their work in leading a range of funding opportunities. This includes central government contracts, local authority bids, corporate partnerships, and grants from trusts and foundations.

• Contribute to and deliver successful strategies for securing funding opportunities, pinpointing key differentiators, understanding funders’ specific requirements and ensuring those are met 
•  Support the Associate Directors to develop, maintain and manage the pipeline, using research, analysis and planning skills. 
• Formulate and script high-quality bid responses and create high-quality proposal documents
• Work cross-organisationally to identify and assemble a team of SMEs (internal and external) to scope, define and capture the information required to prepare funding proposals 

Working in a hybrid way, you’ll be attached to either our Birmingham, London or Manchester office and will report to the Associate Director, Development.  In line with our current ways of working, you’ll be expected to be in the office at least 1 day a month, in addition to team days and this may be reviewed by Ambition. 
 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

To succeed in this role you'll have a good understanding of funding/proposal preparation processes and experience in securing funding opportunities in the range of £50k-£100k.

The successful candidate will demonstrate experience of successfully cultivating relationships with funders such as trust, foundations, local authorities, corporates and major donors.

Whilst experience of securing funding from research institutions and knowledge of England's education and charity sectors are desirable, it is not essential for applying to this role.

If you can demonstrate team leadership skills and the ability to work flexibly in a fast-moving environment, managing multiple competing priorities and a complex workload whilst meeting deadlines effectively, we welcome an application from you.

Job Purpose

The Digital Transformation Manager leads THET’s efforts to transform our own programmes of work and the way THET operates, and also that of the Health Partnership community to better incorporate and enable best practice in digital solutions.

The Digital Transformation Manager will work with teams across the organisation to consider how in every aspect of THET’s work we can transform our use of technology to achieve greater efficiencies and effectiveness, improve inclusivity and equity, and whilst reducing our carbon footprint.

Digital Transformation is a key enabler for the organisation to help advance access to health services in low-and-middle-income countries, via activities such as building online communities, online learning for health workforces in complex and humanitarian settings, e-health, amongst others.

This role will require engagement across the different departments of THET including programmes, and research, evidence and learning, and external engagement, as well as engaging with external stakeholders to drive and raise visibility of this agenda. This is an external-facing role - the ideal candidate will be able to translate their technical digital skills to non-technical experts both in the UK and different cultures around the world.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

• Lead the review and delivery of THET’s digital transformation strategy.
• Lead and implement THET’s digital enablers to support the organisation’s strategic plan

Programme Management

• Develop and enhance the user experience of both external and internal stakeholders across key digital products including the THET website, Pulse platform, learning platforms and bespoke applications.
• Conduct user research and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive a long-term strategy across our digital portfolio

Stakeholder and project management

• Provide guidance and capacity development to both THET staff and the Health Partnership community on digital implementations and best practice

Fundraising and digital transformation project design

• Lead fundraising for digital transformation at THET, working closely with colleagues across the organisation.

Operations

• Manage third party providers including vendors and Managed Service Providers, ensuring compliance with SLA’s.

Duties

The role will involve a combination of stewardship and new business, helping us to secure support from more trusts, foundations and businesses who share our passion for transforming the lives of children in the communities with whom we work.

Key duties will be to:

• Prospect and research potential grantmakers and businesses who share our strategic objectives
• Take a relationships-based approach wherever possible, establishing warm relationships between partners and Chance for Childhood
• Provide input to the 2025-2030 fundraising strategy, using your experience and knowledge of the fundraising landscape to help us devise an ambitious but sustainable plan to safeguard our work for the next five years
• Maintain a strong pipeline of funding opportunities
• Draft compelling, creative and persuasive funding proposals
• Secure four, five and six figure grants from trusts and foundations
• Manage a small portfolio of trusts and corporate partners, maintaining an accurate calendar of reporting and stewardship expectations
• Write and submit accurate reports to funders’ deadlines
• Beyond meeting formal reporting requirements, provide outstanding informal stewardship to funders, developing strong relationships and increasing the chances of repeat funding
• Communicate skilfully across borders with our brilliant in-country programmes team to maintain a flow of information, stories and data for fundraising and reporting
• Accurately record communications using our fundraising CRM (Beacon) and enable reporting on expected income
• Work effectively within our small, supportive and mighty fundraising and marketing team to ensure strong dissemination of ideas, and fidelity to our organisational brand in communications
• Stay well informed of existing and new fundraising legislation and adhere to the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice, the Chartered Institute of Fundraising best practice as well as relevant fundraising and UK GDPR requirements

Person specification:

A highly organised, detail-oriented self-starter who engenders credibility and trust with stakeholders, you will have good working knowledge of corporate and trusts and foundations fundraising, and very strong written and verbal communication skills.

To be the right fit for this role, you do not need to have a degree. You do not need experience in international development fundraising, although this would be an advantage.
