Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Grant Fundraising Manager to lead Trees for Cities’ trusts, foundations, lottery and statutory fundraising programme, securing approximately £1.5 million annually. 

The successful candidate will develop and deliver the grants fundraising strategy, build a strong pipeline of opportunities and cultivate high-value funder relationships, with a focus on six-figure and multi-year partnerships. They will lead compelling funding applications, oversee grant compliance and reporting, monitor income targets and forecasts and line manage the Senior Fundraising Coordinator. 

Working collaboratively across fundraising, programmes, finance and operations, they will ensure funding opportunities align with our strategic priorities and deliver lasting impact for communities and the environment.

ABOUT YOU 

We’re looking for an experienced and strategic grant fundraiser with a strong track record of securing and managing six- and seven-figure partnerships with trusts, foundations, government bodies and/or lotteries. You’ll be an excellent relationship builder and communicator, able to develop compelling proposals, manage complex grants and collaborate effectively across teams. You’ll also bring strong financial and organisational skills, a commitment to equity and inclusion and a genuine passion for the natural environment and Trees for Cities’ mission.
