The role: You will manage and assess grants across a range of portfolios, including complex and international programmes, ensuring funding decisions are robust, compliant and appropriately risk-assessed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Keeping up to date with charity law, regulation and sector best practice.
  • Supporting improvements to grant-making systems and processes.
  • Developing guidance and training for colleagues.
  • Supporting external communications, events and networking where required.

About you

You will have:

  • At least 3 years' experience in a grant-making role within a UK charity or philanthropic organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of UK charity law and Charity Commission guidance.
  • Experience managing complex international grants.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound professional judgement and attention to detail.
  • A pragmatic, entrepreneurial and solutions-focused approach.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with grant management systems and reporting tools.

If you are an experienced grants professional looking for a varied role where you can use your expertise, judgement and problem-solving skills to make a real impact, we would love to hear from you.
