As Funding and Grants Manager you’ll secure, manage and develop relationships with our funders and partners.  Your remit will include every aspect of the grant, funding and partnership lifecycle from developing new opportunities to reporting on live delivery and evaluating completed work.

Working within a passionate and effective team, you’ll manage a portfolio of our funders, with a focus on corporates,  ensuring key milestones and requirements are captured for each funder, reporting is timely and accurate, and our processes and systems are compliant. 

You’ll play a key role in securing new partnerships and grants with a focus on private sector bids (corporate CSR, trusts and foundations) and with contributions to public sector bids (Department for Education, Combined Authorities). 

You’ll manage the department’s events programme of 3-5 events per year, working closely with corporate partners to deliver highly successful events to engage current and potential funders deeply with our work. 

You’ll work closely with our Head of Grant Management and Funding, as part of the Growth, Data and Operations team. This is an exciting team focusing on innovation and growth, including fundraising, new programmes, partnerships, data processes and research.

Main purpose of role
We are looking for a professional with at least 5 years’ experience in membership management, stakeholder engagement and events to lead our outreach and engagement activities for the Parkinson’s community across Europe.

Key tasks

• Strategic membership activities including:
  • Management of the Parkinson’s Europe Membership Steering Group
  • Leading Parkinson’s Europe membership recruitment and diversification
  • Reviewing and expanding Parkinson’s Europe membership benefits

  • Identification of members’ needs and priorities

    • Identifying and building relationships with speakers and facilitators with the help of the Parkinson’s Europe team
    • Identifying existing resources to help deliver the programme
    • Leading the development of new resources and tools for members

  • Lead the development and delivery of a biannual Parkinson’s European Forum
  • Plan and lead the twice-yearly members meeting

Programme Manager - Asia-Pacific and Americas Team

The Programme Manager will play a critical role providing surge support for the Asia-Pacific and Americas programme management team, with a particular focus on regional Grant-in-Aid ‘uplift’ programming.

This is a varied and exciting position. The Programme Manager will fully participate in the full programme cycle from start-up to closure, including responsibility for events and activities management, evaluation and monitoring, programme reporting, finance and budget support, conducting research and analysis, programme adaptation, supplier and contract management, relationship management and stakeholder (donors and partnership) engagement and developing and overseeing regional communications activity, working closely with the communications team.
 

About You

​This is a interesting and fast paced position. To be successful in this position, you will be an experienced Programme Manager with the following skills and experience.​

• First-hand experience of designing, implementing, and managing a portfolio of programmes - minimum three years’ experience.

Programme Funding Manager, Global Greengrants Fund

The Role

The Programme Funding Manager provides cross-team support to strengthen the organisation’s funding and budget management functions and ensure the successful delivery of GGF’s grantmaking and other programmatic activities. This includes collaborating with multiple teams within GGF UK and GGF US including the Programmes, Grants Management, Finance and Philanthropic Partnerships teams, to design and implement systems, processes and improvements to ensure high quality budget management and high standards of donor and regulatory compliance across all funded activity.

The role is responsible for the budget management of all GGF UK-funded programmatic activities, working with Programmes colleagues, Advisory Board representatives, donor relationship managers, Finance staff and others to ensure funds are spent appropriately in line with project plans and donor obligations.

The candidate profile

The ideal candidate for this role will have substantial experience in a similar capacity within charitable, environmental, development, social justice, feminist, gender, or human rights organisations, particularly in an international setting. They will be adept at enhancing collaboration across multiple functional teams, including those operating internationally, to ensure effective and compliant funding and budget management, especially with restricted income. The candidate will demonstrate a strong track record in designing, managing, and refining systems and processes for better budget management and donor compliance in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Their experience should include managing large, multi-year programmatic budgets exceeding $5 million and ensuring adherence to donor agreements and regulatory requirements, such as those of the Charity Commission.

In this role you’ll be both strategic and hands-on, solely managing the financial controls for this small charity with a £350k annual turnover.  You will support the Director and senior management team through your management of financial processes, policy and planning.

This will include using accountancy software to process income and expenditure, producing management accounts for the senior management team and Board, and ensuring the charity reports to its key funders, including Arts Council England.

Duties

• Prospect and research potential grantmakers and businesses who share our strategic objectives

Person specification:

A highly organised, detail-oriented self-starter who engenders credibility and trust with stakeholders, you will have good working knowledge of corporate and trusts and foundations fundraising, and very strong written and verbal communication skills.

To be the right fit for this role, you do not need to have a degree. You do not need experience in international development fundraising, although this would be an advantage.

We are seeking a Senior Fundraising Leader to secure funding from diverse sources to support our program and initiatives. The ideal candidate has senior-level fundraising experience at an NGO, organisation, or charity, a strong and established network of executive relationships in major foundations, and a proven track record of identifying and closing deals in the range of 1-5 million USD. The fundraising leader will develop relationships with potential donors, identify fundraising opportunities, and manage the grant application process.

As the Fundraising Manager concentrating on major donors & corporates, you will play a pivotal role in scaling School Plates, our flagship UK programme, aimed at making school menus healthier and more planet-friendly. With our School Plates Awards and Global Plant-based School Food Network both expanding rapidly —currently working with 70 major school caterers feeding over 1 million children daily —you’ll drive growth by securing crucial funding from major donors and corporate partners.

Hours: 32-40 h per week
Salary range: £40-42,000 (based on 1FTE) depending on experience 

Responsibilities

• Lead and innovate UK fundraising efforts, focusing on major donors and corporates.
• Develop a creative 3-year fundraising strategy and set actionable annual and quarterly objectives.
• Cultivate and expand relationships with new major donors, moving them along a prospect pipeline.
• Support the stewardship of existing major donor relationships, ensuring continued and increased support.
• Draft compelling theories of change, cases for support, and other key materials.
• Manage our visionary ‘donor circle’ initiative.
• Build and strengthen corporate partnerships, crafting tailored cultivation plans.
• Support the writing of successful grant applications and reports, as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of fundraising experience, ideally within an NGO or a related field.
• Proven success in securing significant funds from donors or corporates.
• Exceptional project management and organisational skills and the ability to write strong proposals and reports 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a confident and engaging presence and an impact driven mindset 
• Significant experience in researching and developing strong stakeholder relationships
• Ability to travel nationally as needed.

• Knowledge and understanding of the plant-based food sector.

The Trusts & Philanthropy Fundraising Manager role is a vital part of this vision and your excellent writing skills and relationship building will help us achieve our ambitions.

Working closely within our friendly and results driven Trusts and Philanthropy team, you will manage your own portfolio of charitable trusts and support the developing major donor and statutory funding relationships as required. You will be helping us Beat Macular Disease by talking with funders and writing bespoke funding applications for support services, medical research and core costs. This key role involves delivering a grants portfolio to support the strategic aims of Veterans and Family Services. Working alongside the Senior Trusts Manager, you will be responsible for generating income from trusts, foundations, and corporate partnerships at the 5- and 6-figure level. The core grant fundraising programme is well-established, with regular funds from military charities and other trusts and foundations. The corporate partnership programme has recently been updated to focus on higher-value grants and broader partnerships.

The charity has ambitious plans to expand its services and is seeking a capable and confident individual who can work autonomously and creatively across a diverse portfolio, while also engaging with the wider team. As Trust and Corporate Fundraising Manager, you will: 

• Support the development and delivery of the fundraising plan, proactively researching and pursuing new income opportunities, with targets for fundraising applications to trusts & foundations and corporate foundations. (Account Management 60%, New Business 40%)
• Develop strategic and collaborative relationships with funders to maximise income and ensure excellent supporter care with a team target of £770k

Ethiopiaid is a small charity that makes a big impact in Ethiopia. Our approach is simple, and it works. We partner with local NGOs in Ethiopia to provide the funding they need to put their programmes into action.
Our dedicated and friendly team of nine staff are based in central Bath and we are seeking someone to join us in the Partnerships team to focus on growing income from trusts and foundations, support fundraising from high-net worth individuals, and provide administration support to our CEO.
Working with the Senior Partnerships Manager and Partnerships Manager you will focus on developing our small portfolio of existing trusts and foundations as well as prospects, support with delivering excellent stewardship and engagement, and lead on prospect research to attract and secure new funders.
As part of a small energetic team, you will also contribute to the growth of income from high-net worth individuals and the delivery of wider team objectives.

• Location: Central Bath – 2 core days a week in the office with opportunity to work from home the remaining 3.
• Hours: Full time (40 hours per week, incl lunch)

Ethiopiaid Office Culture:
We are a professional, yet relaxed, office with a flexible work structure (core hours 9.30am to 3.30pm). The team are expected to work two days a week in the office, with an option to work flexibly on the other days from home if you can provide a suitable office set up. Desirable requirements:

• Experience/ understanding of one of the following areas would be an advantage: Individual Giving, Grantmakers or Major Donor fundraising
• Donor stewardship experience

Whilst a degree is an advantage it is not a requirement for this role. We are seeking someone who can
demonstrate an ability to write clearly and to a high standard, with good verbal communication skills, pays
attention to detail, enjoys researching, is quick to learn and not afraid to ask question.

IMPORTANT POINTS TO NOTE

Funded by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and managed by the Tropical Health and Education Trust (THET), the Global Health Workforce Programme (GHWP) aims to develop the health workforce (HWF) in Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria and Somaliland supporting them to build stronger, more resilient health systems for post-pandemic recovery and to make progress towards UHC.

Grants for UK-LMIC and cross-LMIC health partnerships will be awarded to respond to national HWF priorities identified through a scoping assessment carried out by THET with DHSC, FCDO, national Governments and stakeholders (such as local World Health Organisation offices). These grants will run until December 2025.   

With a strong focus on building local ownership and sustainability, these partnerships will contribute to the following programmatic outcomes:

1. Partnerships contributing towards improved health workforce leadership capacity aligned with health workforce strategies, that will support reduction in gender inequalities.

2. Partnerships aligning with and contributing towards retention and wellbeing strategies.

3. Improved number and quality of training opportunities for health workers.

4. Co-developed and documented learning on health workforce interventions shared with key national and international stakeholders.

THET will award 28-36 strategic grants of £100,000 – £350,000 that feed into the country scoping priorities and outputs outlined above. The grants will broadly be split across the six countries; however, the exact split is dependent on the number and quality of applications received and broader priorities.   

20-28 smaller grants of up to £50,000 will also be available for projects that tackle specific areas such as innovation, rural health facilities, diaspora engagement, leadership opportunities for women and protected groups, and the climate crisis.   

Grants will be available to UK-LMIC health partnerships and LMIC-LMIC health partnerships. There are no institutional eligibility criteria as long as ODA rules are followed, so grants can be awarded to healthcare providers, royal colleges, universities, professional associations, NGOs, alliances, diaspora networks etc, but not to Ministry of Health departments.

This document serves as a Terms of Reference for the type of work the THET Administrative Support should expect to carry out as part of this.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Oversee consultants’ invoicing and payments process and staff expense claims

· Prompt consultants to send invoices at the end of the month

· Review receipts and time claimed against contract and allowable expenses, file documents and send to Programme Manager for approval

· Monitor consultants’ time and expenses in trackers

· Review expense claims from THET staff related to GHWP, file documents and send to Programme Manager for approval

· Follow up with Finance team regarding payments

2. Oversee the National Oversight Mechanism invoicing and payments process

· Prompt in-country Admin Assistants to send invoices to NOM upon completion of activities, and follow up if necessary

· Admin Assistants will check receipts and time claimed against honoraria agreements and allowable expenses and send to Programme Manager for approval, cc’ing Admin Support

· Monitor payments in tracker

· Follow up with Finance team regarding payments

3. Provide support to recruitment/contracting process

· Support with developing/adapting recruitment documents (application log, creating folders in Sharepoint)

· Support with drafting contracts based on information provided by Programme Manager/Coordinator

4. Provide support to reporting process

· Support with development of templates and updating basic information in the report

· Proofread and format reports before finalisation and submission by the Programme Manager

5. Support the Programmes Manager and Programmes Coordinator

· Provide ad hoc administrative and logistical support to the team as required

· Support with filing documents in Sharepoint

· Support with drafting briefings

· Support with setting up meetings and comprehensive note-taking
