Job description

About us
We are a charity dedicated to ensuring that people most impacted by injustice are leading campaigns that affect their lives, from better housing to fairer treatment of migrants to LGBTQ+ rights. Our mission is to support people to run effective campaigns that challenge injustice. We do this by running campaign training programmes that help people develop the skills, confidence and community to change things that matter to them. In our trainings, we prioritise people from communities directly impacted by injustice.

Job Purpose:
Meeting income targets
Supporter stewardship
Manage the administration of the Fundraising team
Stakeholder management to further the organisation’s objectives

Job Responsibilities

Meeting income targets:
Researching, writing and submitting applications to new trusts and foundations for four and five-figure bids under £40,000.
Reporting to funders in line with their requirements, including supporting the Fundraising team with narrative and financial updates.
Supporting the Head of Fundraising and Fundraising Manager with diversifying income streams, including through public donations, individual giving and the sale of scholarship places and workshops for NGOs.
Represent the fundraising remit of Campaign Bootcamp at external networking events, sector conferences and funder meetings.

Supporter stewardship:
Managing day-to-day relations with a portfolio of four and five-figure current and prospective foundation donors.
Managing grant awards, including grant agreements, interim reporting, project visits, end of grant reports and budget reconciliations.
Testing and implementing new ways to engage current and new funders as the Fundraising team develops new income streams across trusts, individual giving and online appeals.

Manage the administration of the Fundraising team:
Managing the grant set-up process on Salesforce.
Managing and further developing the relevant administrative infrastructure, including Salesforce.
Ensuring that donations, donor tracking and reporting systems are accurate and that electronic records are up to date.
Contributing to the management of the general fundraising communication channels.

Stakeholder management to further the organisation’s objectives:
Creating content for our public facing channels, e.g. website, newsletters and social media, to raise awareness of Campaign Bootcamp and our funding needs.
Ensuring Salesforce records are accurate and up-to-date so that the Finance and delivery teams have the information they need from the Fundraising team to deliver on grant objectives.
Working with the Training and Programme delivery teams to ensure our applications and reports are as strong as they can be; this includes coordinating and participating in regular catch-ups with delivery teams, project visits and regular communications through in-person/Zoom meetings, emails and via Slack.
Supporting our work to evaluate and improve our programmes.

General:
Work in a sustainable manner with consideration of the natural environment
External customer service: answer the general Campaign Bootcamp phone via Circleloop and emails relating to fundraising via our shared 'hello' inbox
Any other reasonable tasks as directed by your line manager or Leadership Team
At all times adhere to relevant legislation including GDPR
At all times take personal responsibility for exhibiting behaviours in line with the person specification and the values of Campaign Bootcamp.
