About You & The Role
You are a natural builder who enjoys closing deals, developing relationships and creating meaningful social impact. You will shape and lead PBC’s first dedicated fundraising function, building a portfolio from the ground up with limited existing donor relationships.
The role focuses on securing six-figure corporate partnerships and cultivating high-net-worth individual donors, alongside a smaller trusts and foundations portfolio. You thrive in a strategic, relationship-led role and are comfortable using a broad range of fundraising approaches.
Working closely with the leadership team, you will secure funding to support long-term sustainability and expand PBC’s impact across London and beyond. Initially the sole fundraiser, you will have the opportunity to develop and lead a team as the function grows.
Key Responsibilities

Fundraising Strategy Delivery: Take ownership of multi-year fundraising strategy working closely with the CEO and Board to diversify and increase revenue streams that support PBC’s service expansion and reach

Abbey Community Centre works with people of all ages and backgrounds, with a particular focus on older residents and low-income families with young children. We deliver a wide range of activities, services and support including children’s stay-and-play sessions and drop-ins, fitness and wellbeing activities, befriending schemes, digital inclusion support, community meals, warm space provision, food support, volunteering opportunities and specialist outreach.
Alongside this community delivery, we manage a busy public building and a programme of room hire that helps generate income to sustain our work. With a small staff team, over 100 volunteers and many partner organisations, our operations need to be reliable, well-coordinated and people-centred.
The role and its impact
As Centre Operations Manager, you will be the organisation’s senior operational lead on the ground. Working closely with the CEO, you will hold delegated authority for the day-to-day running of the Centre — ensuring the building, people and systems all work together to support high-quality community activity.
This is a hands-on leadership role combining practical problem-solving with people management. You will line manage and help develop operational staff, oversee facilities and contractors, lead on health and safety and operational compliance, support volunteering, and ensure organisational systems and processes function reliably.
Your work will directly enable staff, volunteers and partners to deliver activities and services safely and confidently, and will help ensure Abbey remains a welcoming, accessible and well-run space for the local community.

Who We're Looking For:

As Finance and Operations Manager at Fight Bladder Cancer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and building our finance and operational functions at a strategic level.

We are growing our Partnerships team within SU Network, and are looking to bring on board a Partnerships Manager to help us expand our media sales and partnerships offering. This would be ideal for a candidate with some media sales/ advertising sales/account management experience looking to step up, or a candidate who has worked in customer service, sales, or events, who wants to get into the world of advertising / media partnerships, working with major brands and the student market.
Within this position, you will support /manage the partnerships with key brands (including the likes of Domino’s Pizza!), businesses and media partners across SU Network’s portfolio of students’ unions and universities. This includes: overseeing experiential advertising campaigns and brand activations for clients across multiple university campuses; managing and facilitating digital advertising campaigns, including on websites, social media and digital screens; managing and coordinating stallholders and exhibitor bookings at promotional events; initiating, developing and managing partnerships across multiple accounts, working towards income targets at each.
SU Network is a media agency and is part of the wide range of sector leading services within KUTL, which includes catering, licensed trade, business development, retail and the nursery. With an annual combined turnover of £9 million, these make a huge impact upon the student experience.

The Finance Business Partner role is vital to supporting effective decision-making, strengthening the grant-giving process and enabling high-impact philanthropy at QCF. The successful candidate will work closely with programme teams to provide insight, challenge and strategic support, ensuring resources are deployed responsibly and for the greatest impact.
Reporting to the Finance Director, this London-based role offers hybrid working and the opportunity to contribute directly to global climate resilience efforts.
Duties Include:
- Acting as a trusted advisor to programme teams on financial planning and performance
- Providing modelling, scenario analysis and risk assessment to support strategic decisions
- Reviewing grant budgets, undertaking financial due diligence and supporting grants from day one of the cycle
- Maintaining oversight of payments budgets and contributing to donation cashflow forecasting
- Developing rolling forecasts and translating programme plans into updated financial projections
- Supporting organisation-wide learning and embedding a strong Value for Money culture
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Have senior-level experience in Finance Business Partnering with significant stakeholder engagement
- Be confident simplifying complex financial information for non-finance colleagues
- Have strong Excel and modelling skills (Power BI experience beneficial)
- Bring knowledge of grant finance and financial due diligence
- Have experience in an impact-focused or philanthropic environment (desirable, not essential)

We are looking for our next Finance Manager / Senior Financial Controller, someone who shares our compassion for animal welfare and wants to play a central role in stewarding Mayhew’s financial resources for the greatest impact.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will work closely with senior colleagues across Mayhew—including members of the Senior Management Team—to support strong financial direction, responsible stewardship, and effective, mission‑driven decision‑making across the charity.
This is a highly visible and hands‑on leadership role. You will lead Mayhew’s day‑to‑day finance function, ensuring strong financial controls, good practice financial management, and timely, accessible financial reporting for colleagues, trustees and partners. You will be responsible for all aspects of financial planning, management accounting, statutory reporting and SORP compliance, as well as supporting operational teams with practical financial insight and advice.
You will also help develop and strengthen financial systems and processes, recognising that—as a mid‑sized charity with evolving needs—Mayhew continues to refine its structures to best support our work. You will lead and support a small finance team, modelling an open, collaborative and hands‑on working style.
Our London site—our historic rescue and rehoming centre—is at the heart of our UK operations. You will collaborate with colleagues across operations, veterinary services, fundraising, people and engagement to ensure financial clarity underpins good decision‑making as we continue to care for dogs and cats in need.
In this role, you will:
- Lead, direct and deliver all aspects of Mayhew’s finance function, ensuring strong, proportionate controls and high‑quality financial information.
- Engage, influence and collaborate with senior colleagues and trustees to support the effective delivery of our strategic and operational goals.
- Provide clear financial guidance to non‑finance colleagues and act as a supportive, trusted partner across the organisation.
- Lead and support a small finance team, encouraging a positive, collaborative and hands‑on culture.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Strong charity finance experience, including Charity SORP (FRS 102), fund accounting, statutory reporting, financial planning, budgeting, and knowledge of VAT and Gift Aid.
- Hands‑on experience of month‑end accounting, financial controls, cashflow management, and management accounts preparation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate financial information clearly for non‑finance colleagues and trustees.
- A collaborative, supportive and pragmatic working style, with confidence to improve processes and work flexibly within a smaller organisation.
- Experience leading and developing a small team through open, positive and supportive management.

Job Purpose:
The Marketing & Fundraising Manager will play a key role in developing and implementing St Hilda’s East’s marketing strategy and will take the lead in organising fundraising events and securing funds from individual donations, and rental and room hire income.
They will lead on communications with external stakeholders through the development and implementation of SHE’s marketing plans and social media strategy. There will be a particular focus on strengthening our unique link with the Guild (alumnae) of Cheltenham Ladies’ College, as well as with parents and pupils of the school – to raise awareness of the impact of St. Hilda’s East and to organise joint events. The postholder will work alongside freelance fundraisers who focus on maximising grant income.
It is not essential to have experience in the non-profit sector; we would love to hear from you if you have experience in sales and marketing in a commercial environment and are looking to bring your talents to the charity sector.
