We’re looking for a Trusts Officer to join our dynamic Fundraising Team to contribute towards securing vital income from charitable trusts and foundations across the UK.

Working closely with the Trusts Manager, you’ll develop and submit compelling funding proposals, build strong relationships with new and existing supporters and ensure the highest standards of donor care. You’ll also help maintain accurate records, collaborate across teams, and contribute to achieving ambitious income targets.

About This Job

As Fundraising Assistant at sister charities, ACCT UK and CCFA, you will play a key role in the growth of existing fundraising and in the creation of new income streams. Stewarding fundraisers, helping to develop new and existing fundraising campaigns, building relationships internally within the cadet organisations and externally with Trusts and Foundations, corporates and major givers. You will provide administrative and operational support, including maintaining the fundraising database. Birmingham Botanical Gardens (BBG) is looking for a highly motivated Development Officer with  experience to join the small but dedicated Development Team to raise funds to retore and preserve the Gardens for the benefit of everyone now, and for future generations. 
Purpose of Role

This exciting new role is vital to increase the income generating capacity of BBG’s Development Team to enable the charity to deliver its purpose and major development over the next 4+ years. In July BBG was awarded an NLHF grant of £9.075m, and has successfully raised over 90% of the capital funds needed. The priority is to close the capital funding gap in accordance with our fundraising strategy and increase funding for other projects and the day-to-day operation the charity, long term. BBG receives no public subsidy and must raise all income from visitors, trading, events and fundraising. The Development Officer post has been created to increase fundraised income for the charity, cultivating and stewarding an expanded and sustained funding and supporter base.

In line with current priorities, the postholder will be required to raise commercial sponsorship income, and income from major donors/individuals to meet capital and operational targets/KPI’s. The postholder will be expected to create sponsor/donor packages, deliver cultivation events and steward donors and supporters on all aspects of fundraising as directed. The postholder will have experience of managing sponsorship agreements to ensure value, compliance and delivery of benefits. 

The role will share responsibility for the management of data, compliance and stewardship of growing funding streams and support the administration of the Development Function. The Development Team raises and manages funds from grants, trusts and foundations, individuals, organisations, business, legacies, etc, and the new postholder will work with the highly effective and dedicated team of Development Director and Development Manager and with the wider BBG team.

Key Responsibilities

· Achieve income and performance targets in accordance with BBG’s agreed Fundraising Strategy and business needs, as directed by the Development Director.

· Raise funding with compelling case for support from sponsors/from individuals, to meet the targets of the Major project, and  fundraising from other sources such as grants, as agreed.

· Contribute to managing BBG’s development/fundraising function data, ensuring accuracy of data and information on BBG’s Spektrix/CRM system to comply with internal requirements and the Data Protection Act.

· Work with Horticultural, Marketing, Learning & Engagement, Finance Teams and other staff to formulate proposals, maximising opportunities for raising funds to support core functions and projects, once the capital is secured.

· Manage funding contracts with sponsors and those of all Development funders -including payment schedules, high quality impact reports, monitoring and compliance with any conditions of funding.

· High quality personalised stewarding of all donors and supporters, ensuring BBG’s reputation as an exemplary charity is maintained. Respectful approach in all fundraising.

· Research and cultivating funding prospects and submitting high quality well-researched applications, securing new supporters and interest within the wider funding strategy.

· Work with Marketing to manage fundraising messaging and communications, including digital, print and press coverage, all in accordance with fundraising regulation. Liaise with BBG Finance staff to ensure reporting meets BBG’s wider business and charitable requirements.

· Support with organising relevant cultivation events/visits to the Gardens, special thanks and stewardship delivery outcomes, talks, events, tours and hospitality.

· Manage any volunteers working in support of the development function at BBG.

· Deliver donor benefits and acknowledgements.

Prospectus is excited to be partnering with our client in the search for a new Grants Officer to join their collaborative team.

The organisation is an independent charitable foundation that aims to build partnerships and invest in communities to make lasting change so local residents can access the wealth of opportunities that surround them. For 35 years they have been supporting communities and local charities in the East End of London.

This Grants Officer role is available on a permanent contract and full-time basis (35 hours a week). This is a hybrid role, where the foundation would like the postholder to attend the Isle of Dogs office two days a week in East London, with Wednesday being a core office day. The salary banding for this role is £28,000-£32,000 (dependent on level of experience).

In this role, you will report to the Head of Grants and Programmes and support the development, management, and promotion of the foundation's grants programmes. You will manage a portfolio of grants, provide guidance to applicants and grantees, assess grant applications, and conduct due diligence to inform funding recommendations.

You will monitor funded projects, ensure timely reporting and validate project delivery. You will maintain accurate records on Salesforce. You will support donor engagement, ensure reporting aligns with CSR goals, review end-of-grant reports, and contribute to annual programme reporting. You will help deliver funding workshops and community events. You will assist with developing systems, policies, and communication tools for grant making. You will stay up to date on best practices in grant making and contribute to continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of the grant making process. You could be a trust and foundations fundraiser wanting to make the transition to grants officer, or a grants administrator or officer seeking to progress further in your career. While training and support will be provided you must understand what makes a good funding application, and an ability to critically review proposals, in order to make appropriate recommendations.   
 
You will have experience or understanding of working within the voluntary sector and needs of communities in the East-End of London. You will have a strong eye for detail and experience gathering, recording information, and presenting to audiences. 

You will be a strong communicator, who can develop relationships with people from different backgrounds and lived experiences. You will be able to work on your own initiative and within a small team. You will have excellent IT literacy and administrative skills.

Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is one of the UK’s fastest growing nature conservation organisations and seeks to appoint a Grants Officer.

Do you have a flair for writing compelling funding bids and building lasting relationships with funders? Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is looking for a motivated Grants Officer to join our fundraising team and help secure vital income to support nature’s recovery across Yorkshire.

In this varied role, you’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of grant applications and reports, researching new opportunities, and nurturing relationships with existing funders. Working closely with the Grants Manager and colleagues across the Trust, you’ll develop strong cases for support and ensure timely, accurate reporting that meets funder requirements.

Alongside excellent written communication skills, strong organisational ability, and a collaborative approach, you’ll have experience in fundraising, bid writing or a similar role. Above all we’re seeking a proactive individual who can turn opportunities into successful outcomes.

Are you and experienced fundraiser that can hold and deliver a strategy?

We’re looking for an experienced fundraiser who can work alone and confidently to shape and grow our fundraising income.

At Age UK West Sussex, Brighton & Hove (AUKWSBH), we’re proud of the difference we make but we know we can’t stand still. With an ageing population and increasing demand for our services, we’re looking for a highly experienced Fundraiser Manager to help us grow our voluntary income and deepen our impact even further.

This is a pivotal role, leading the development and delivery of a sustainable fundraising strategy that supports our mission to help people love later life.

You will initially work alone as we shape and grow the team going forward. You’ll be confident and assertive in working across the different fundraising income streams and with your knowledge and experience, guide us on what we need to do next.

The role involves developing local relationships, a strong understanding of West Sussex, Brighton and Hove and its communities is essential. You’ll spend time in our centres and communities, building connections and raising our profile locally, so applicants must be based in or very familiar with the area.

What You’ll Do

• Raise at least £500,000 in new money per annum, with a robust fundraising plan.
• Be an exceptional storyteller and writer, who can translate our impact into powerful cases for support across applications, campaigns and donor appeals.
• Shape the future of fundraising at AUKWSBH, advising on priorities and helping to grow the team. 

What You’ll Bring

• Knowledge and expertise in all areas of raising voluntary income, knowing where to spend time and energy for an organisation of our size and location.
• Confidence and compliance of fundraising best practice, fundraising governance and law.
• The ability to work independently, with the scope and ambition to grow the fundraising function and resources over time, including the possibility of line managing staff in future.

We are looking for someone passionate about building powerful relationships with an understanding of how our messaging and storytelling can connect with existing and potential supporters. The job holder must have a strong understanding of what motivates people to support Ormiston Families and how to attract them to our cause.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a talented team and high-performing trusts and grants team and driving strategic income growth. You will also spearhead new and innovative fundraising initiatives to diversify revenue streams and support the charity’s long-term sustainability. 

The post advertised is a full-time (35 hours per week), temporary position (12 months Maternity cover). 

The salary for this post is £44,115 per annum. 

The location for this position is hybrid with 2 days in the Ipswich office.
