ACCT UK launched its new name and brand in 2021 and we are now seeking a highly motivated Marketing Manager to continue the delivery of our engagement programme. As ACCT UK’s Marketing Manager, you will be key to helping the wider community to understand our charity and how it is distinct from the Army Cadets, a youth organisation we are closely linked to.

This is a rewarding and flexible role. The position is a permanent full time post (40 hours per week) which can be either home or office based. The successful applicant will be required to travel occasionally.  The full time starting annual salary for this post is £34,190.73.

ACCT UK is a national youth charity dedicated to improving the life chances of young people. We want to develop the youth leadership and training abilities of adult volunteers in the Army Cadets.

Institutional Partnerships Manager, Thomson Reuters Foundation

Thomson Reuters Foundation is seeking an experienced and motivated Institutional Partnerships Manager who has significant experience securing high value partnerships with foundations, international development organisations, trusts, and multi-lateral donors.

We are looking for a proactive, creative team player who has excellent knowledge and passion for working in the international development sector. About the role

As our Institutional Partnerships Manager, you will:

• Proactively seek and secure high value funding from trusts and institutional donors worth over £1m per annum.

• Lead development of high-quality proposals, coordinating input from other teams, including proposal writing, budget planning and contract management.

• With the Head of Institutional Partnerships, proactively develop and maintain a high-quality pipeline, building strategic relationships with key organisations and funders.

• Coordinate due diligence processes, facilitate donor audits and external evaluations in collaboration with internal teams.

• Support the development of annual income and expenditure budgets/forecasts for institutional fundraising, prepare reports and give presentations on funding progress.

About You

To be our Institutional Partnerships Manager, you will likely have:

• Over 6 years’ experience of securing and managing grants valued at over £500,000 from institutional donors.

• At least 6 years’ experience of working with institutional donors such as the FCDO, EC, USAID, US State Department, Multi-laterals, and trusts and foundations, in a fundraising and/or programme capacity.

• Experience of delivering ambitious income targets and comfortable working in a performance

• management culture.

• Excellent research skills and market knowledge of leading funding organisations.

• Fluent in English (verbal and written) and excellent writing skills.

• Over 6 years’ experience working in an international development organisation.

• Proficient IT skills, more specifically Excel.

It would be useful (but not essential), if you also have:

• Understanding of journalism and media capacity building

The Upper Room (TUR) works with a wide range of financially and socially disadvantaged groups including homeless people, people with long-term mental health conditions, asylum-seekers, refugees and ex-offenders – helping them to improve their lives and become productive members of society. Central to our offering is our UR4Meals service, providing free, home-cooked food to people who cannot afford to provide for themselves. We are also very proud of our UR4Driving programme, which supports people recently out of prison with free driving lessons in exchange for community volunteering. The role

This newly scoped role reports into the CEO and is critical to our ability to create the income we need to keep up with the ever-increasing demand on our services. Primarily, the role has two fundamental elements to it: firstly, working with both a specialist external consultant and the CEO in planning, submitting and reporting on the grants that make up a large proportion of our income; and secondly, the planning and managing of TUR’s traditional (and always fun) annual events. These include celebrity interviews and talks, garden parties and various community events such as the Green Days festival in Chiswick. There are additionally a number of community relationships that add great value to our work and efforts to raise funds which require regular contact. Occasionally, the role will also require presenting or talking to both funders and community groups as we share our magnificent story with them – and ultimately, convince them to support us.

About You

You live within – or know well – West/Central London; you probably need a job with some working flexibility and want to have genuine belief in the cause you’re promoting. You have a CV that demonstrates experience in a comparable role: this could be in another charity, CIC or other Non-Profit organisation. You are comfortable and confident with working autonomously, so you will need to be disciplined; you can articulate and ‘bring to life’ our story through your advanced written and oral communication skills, enabling us to always deliver highly compelling reasons to secure gain financial (and other) support. You don’t need to be a Microsoft Office expert, but you should be familiar with Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Finally, you are self-motivated and energetic, as well as passionate about making sure disadvantaged groups across West London get the opportunity to improve their highly challenging lives. Ideally you will have a driver's licence and use of a car, but this is not essential.

Full Fact – Trust Fundraising Manager
Location: Remote first with an office available in Central London and regular team meetings in the office.
Salary: £40-£48,000 per annum.

Full Fact, the independent fact checking charity, is seeking an experienced trusts and foundations fundraiser to grow their impact and safeguard their independence by overseeing and developing their trust fundraising programme.

Full Fact is a team of independent fact checkers and campaigners who find, expose and counter the harm it does – a team which has seen firsthand how bad information promotes hate, damages people’s health and hurts democracy. Full Fact fights for the right information to reach the people who need it most, whether that’s individuals making decisions about their health or who to vote for; or politicians debating the future of our country.

This role will manage, develop and grow the charity’s portfolio of trusts and foundation donors, as well as leading and delivering Full Fact’s trust fundraising strategy, identifying and building relationships with new prospects who have the capacity to support at 5/6-figure level. The post-holder will work closely with the senior leadership and trustees to maximise network opportunities and will support the organisation in diversifying its donor base, gaining long term/multi-year support and ensuring balance/political neutrality within the funding portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable track record of securing funds from charitable trusts and foundations, grant making organisations and family foundations at a 5-figure + level. You will be a relationships-first fundraiser, keen to develop relationships at a strategic level with senior representatives from grant-making organisations and will have expertise/knowledge of maximising opportunities via senior stakeholders. You will also be a great writer with experience of transforming detailed, technical information into engaging and compelling narratives. Finally, you will have an organised, proactive and adaptable approach to work, as well as an understanding of public debate in the UK and sensitivity to the political context the organisation works in.

As the sole employee of The Leche Trust, the Grants Director will spearhead the Trust's operations and day to day management, providing invaluable support to the Trustees while managing relationships with external stakeholders and funding networks. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in administering grants, overseeing governance and secretarial duties, managing financial administration, and facilitating effective communication both internally and externally.

Example of responsibilities:

• Manage the grant programme and smaller funds for conservation bursaries and research projects.

The Grants Director requires an ability to work independently, self-direct and prioritise.

We're looking for someone who's experienced in grant making process and systems, who also has knowledge of good practice in charity administration and governance. They will require excellent communication skills and have some experience working directly with a board of trustees. We're also looking for someone who has a good understanding of either the UK performing arts sector or the UK heritage conservation sector.

- You'll support the preparation of funding applications by members of the team to other donors, including corporate donors, major donors and other charity partners (NGOs)​

Essential qualifications, knowledge,/transferrable skills and experience:

• Relevant fundraising experience (trusts and foundations)
• Experience of managing relationships with external stakeholder
• Experience of administration and record-keeping
• Experience of developing and managing budgets in line with funding applications.
• Knowledge of humanitarian response, international development and/or global health (Desirable)
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills

SSAFA’s Network & Community team, operating across the UK, are proud to announce this role as part of their strategic development plans.

This is a new fundraising opportunity to help provide support for serving personnel, veterans and their families ensuring that no-one battles alone.

Supported by the Statutory Grants Manager, this role is fundamental in developing, supporting and championing new and existing fundraising from heath providers and local authorities. The aim is to increase income generation in this area whilst raising SSAFA’s profile within local authorities and health care provision. This initiative will require relationship development and bid writing skills to create effective proposals for support.

SSAFA is entering into an exciting period of strategic development within this proven income stream. If successful, you will be the part of a small team with potential for career development.

There will be an occasional need to travel across the UK and to work evenings and weekends at key events.

You will join a small, established and dedicated team who cover the whole of the UK. With regular team meetings and a variety of communication mediums you will be given ongoing support, training and mentoring throughout. We are a remote team and well connected to all colleagues. This supports and drives our determination and success.

A natural communicator with proven success with bid writing and presentation skills. A confident networker, able to represent the charity to external stakeholders, build strong relationships, communicating effectively across the region whilst working from home. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a passion for international development to join an award-winning and ambitious team and help us to grow our income to reach more children in the worst conflict affected countries. With a good understanding of institutional funding, ideally from the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, you will have a pivotal role in the Trusts and Institutional Funding team, providing information management, reporting, and logistics support as well as ensuring an effective grants management system. The role must develop excellent working relationships across the organisation, as well as close links with all War Child country programmes.

We want to dramatically grow income from trusts, foundations and institutional donors in the UK market and we are looking for a motivated Trusts & Institutional Funding Executive to support the new Trusts and Institutional Funding team to reach more children than ever.

• Experienced in Trusts & Foundations fundraising and Institutional funding (particularly FCDO)
• Able to demonstrate research skills used in a role
• Organised with the ability to plan, design systems, prioritise workload, manage your own time and meet deadlines under pressure
• An excellent verbal communicator, confident in dealing with people at all levels, externally and internally, with the ability to influence and negotiate
• An excellent written communicator able to write and produce compelling fundraising proposals and reports
• Interested and knowledgeable in current developments and trends in the international aid sector
• Pro-active, self-motivated and able to work independently
• A team player who enjoys building relationships and working with a wide range of stakeholders internationally
• Competent in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
• Experienced in or able to use a Client Record Management system
• Able to speak French, Arabic or Spanish (not required but desirable)
