The Philanthropy Manager lead in the delivery of the Philanthropy Giving plan for the short-term by securing significant gifts from Trusts & Foundations. You will prospect, qualify, cultivate and steward, building long-term mutually beneficial relationships and growing this relatively new income stream.

Activities may include:
The successful execution of a targeted growth plan from trusts and foundations
• Deliver a comprehensive philanthropy giving plan, with targets and performance metrics
• Review and optimise current prospects pipeline to grow long-term, sustainable income (both restricted and unrestricted) generating £15,000 from Trusts and Foundations
• Excellent cultivation and stewardship with existing and new trusts and foundations to maximise income potential and build strong relationships
• Be responsible for ensuring effective and timely reporting of progress made to grant funders
Write and submit compelling bid proposals to secure funding from major trusts, working closely with colleagues to ensure content is accurate and up to date
• Work with colleagues to produce consistently outstanding, high quality, imaginative and compelling proposals, to present to both large and small trusts and foundations
• Plan and deliver a schedule of high-quality submissions that delivers on time and on targets

Record and maintain accurate records of donor communication and income through our CRM, producing reports and insights where appropriate

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Programme Management
- Coordinate staff and implementing partners to ensure the timely completion of deliverables.

Team Support and Line Management

About the opportunity
Fundraising is critical to delivering our mission and ensuring we can support as many children and young people facing disadvantage to open doors to their future. The Philanthropy Team as a whole has a combined target income for the current year (2023-24) of £1.83 million (growing to £2.35m as our target for next year), of which approximately £850k is from corporate donors and their foundations, £100k is from individuals, and the remaining from trusts and foundations. We are looking for a Fundraising Manager to work within our passionate Philanthropy Team to help grow our fundraised income and develop and maintain an effective, high-quality funding pipeline. Focussing predominantly on eliciting funding from trusts and foundations, and working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, CEO and Corporate Partnerships Manager, the Fundraising Manager will ensure the effective management of existing funder relations and take responsibility for ensuring Action Tutoring meets its reporting obligations. Duties and responsibilities

This role requires an ambitious, passionate and determined individual with outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Working to deadlines and line-managing three Fundraising Coordinators, exceptional time-management, prioritisation and organisation skills are essential. About this role
The role of the Finance and Payroll Manager is to support the Development and Finance teams to manage and report on restricted income, as well as to manage monthly in-house payroll under the guidance of the Head of Finance. This involves ensuring that we are maximising the use of restricted funding, and that money is spent in line with donors’ wishes and that staff are paid accurately and on time each month. The Finance and Payroll Manager will work within a small Finance team under the supervision of the Head of Finance. This is an exciting 2 day a week role to be part of the growing Newham District Foodbank and Ascension’s Advice Service. On 9th June 2021 Ascension’s foodbank officially became part of the Trussell Trust network. We were named Newham District Foodbank, because our plan is to expand to more than one distribution centre to ensure that people across the whole of Newham are well supported. As part of the strategy, we have already secured funding to have debt and benefit advisors supporting each new distribution centre.
In this role you will manage the poverty response work of Ascension Community Trust, including its foodbank. You will provide high level strategic work, including liaising with donors, referral partners and other local foodbanks and support new partners into Newham District Foodbank. Your role will include fundraising for and reporting on the work of Newham District Foodbank, including local partnership funding. We are looking for a High Value Trusts Executive to join a supportive, collaborative team for a well known national health charity, to secure income from charitable trusts, foundations and other grant givers.
This is a hybrid role with one day a week in the London office.
The Charity

The Role
Cultivate and apply to grant givers with the propensity to give gifts of up to 10k per annum.
Deliver excellent stewardship and customer care to our trust donors.
Identify and research new trust supporters.
Be responsible for own personal cohort of trust supporters, ensuring they are applied to, updated and thanked in line with service standards.
The Candidate
Experience of working in a fundraising environment with some experience of fundraising from grant-giving trusts.
IT literate, including the ability to use Microsoft office.
Experience of working with customer databases and inputting data accurately.

Spectra are looking for a Senior Trust Fundraiser, focussing on larger trusts, to join a growing fundraising team with exciting plans. Responsibilities of the role

Be responsible for securing a fixed amount of new business annually. Identify and secure new high-value partners through proactive prospecting, engaging pitches, and effective relationship building.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders for seamless partnership delivery, including Grants and Operations, Finance, Legal, and more.

Brainstorm creative partnership solutions to help us stand out and win both proactive and reactive briefs.

Identify, explore and network with relevant corporates and philanthropic foundations.

Diligently lead account management of large partnerships, providing materials, resources, contracts and project plans as required.

Produce comprehensive partnership reports to summarize activities to highlight key learnings and recommendations.

Provide support to Head of Brand Partnerships on all projects and practice adaptability according to external and internal priorities.

Develop strong working relationships and exceed expectations with partners to secure repeat business.
