The Head of Funding and Engagement role:

Coeliac UK is looking for a skilled and motivated Head of Funding and Engagement to support the operations, financial stability and growth of the International Society for the Study of Celiac Disease (ISSCD). As Head of Funding and Engagement, you will support the ISSCD’s mission of promoting scientific knowledge, education and quality of care in the field of coeliac disease. This role is interesting and varied, and if you are interested in funding research and have experience working in or with charities, we would like to hear from you.

Key responsibilities of the Head of Funding and Engagement:

• Seeking and sourcing funding to secure financial stability and enable growth of the ISSCD
• Seeking and sourcing sponsorship for the ISSCD’s flagship biennial event the International Celiac Disease Symposium
• Providing advice and supporting to the ISSCD committees to secure funding
• Identifying and establishing a network of key stakeholders to assist the ISSCD in achieving its objectives
• Managing the ISSCD’s website content and updates
• Managing and expand the ISSCD’s social media channels and maintain a schedule of activities to increase engagement
• Processing ISSCD invoices, grants and expense claims in collaboration with the ISSCD Treasurer and the approval of the ISSCD Executive
• Working with the ISSCD’s support agency in the Netherlands

Summary

The Lead Strategy and Impact Analyst plays a key role in developing practical, evidence-based policies that support effective mission and ministry approaches within the Church of England's Vision and Strategy priority areas.

In this role, you will analyse and synthesise data from evaluations of funded programmes, commissioned research, and wider social trends, building a coherent evidence base to inform both policy and practice.

As a member of the Insights and Engagement sub-team, you will work collaboratively across departments and teams to:

• Support strategic projects through analysis, reporting, and evaluation

• A salary of £59,248 per annum, plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.

They will bring significant experience in diary management, event coordination, and committee servicing, and be a confident and efficient minute taker. Highly organised, proactive, and adaptable, the post holder will have the ability to plan well, build relationships, and be comfortable in taking the initiative. The new EA will be comfortable using a wide range of digital tools and platforms (including MS Word and Excel, CRM databases, SharePoint, MS Teams, Zoom, and project management applications). About the role

You’ll be part of the team delivering NAVCA’s projects – from grant-funded initiatives to responsive support. You’ll work directly with our members, and make sure everything runs smoothly and is properly reported.  

In particular, the post-holder will lead delivery of projects to build capacity in communities – identifying members to deliver capacity building support to local voluntary sector organisations. The Role
As CEO, you will work in partnership with the Board to finalise and own our new five-year business plan, ensuring its successful delivery. You’ll combine strategic vision with hands-on leadership. overseeing service delivery, fundraising, financial stewardship and regulatory compliance, while modelling our core values of transparency, fairness, energy, inclusivity and compassion.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Co-create, implement and evaluate the new five-year strategy, business plan and budgets.
• Operational Management: Lead a small core team and manage partner relationships (e.g. Maximus for casework). Ensure high-quality, cost-effective service delivery and robust risk controls.
• Income Generation: Devise and deliver a diversified fundraising strategy (corporate partnerships, events, digital campaigns) to secure financial stability in a demanding climate.
• Governance & Compliance: Act as Nominated Individual to the Charity Commission; support the Board in trustee recruitment, training and governance best practice.
• External Relations: Serve as chief spokesperson; build and sustain partnerships across the home-improvement sector to raise awareness and influence.

Person Specification

Essential

• Graduate or equivalent vocational qualification.
• At least 10 years’ senior-management experience in a comparable organisation (charity, social enterprise or commercial).
• Proven track record of income generation across varied channels.
