Purpose:
The Research and Innovation specialist will play a pivotal role in delivering our ambitions for sustainable growth through income diversification, as funded by the Boost Fund (Postcode Innovation Trust). This new role will lead the development, testing and refinement of business cases focused on three core areas:
- Hire of our accessible city-centre training suite
- Sale of sector-leading training packages to external partners
- Inclusion consultancy for organisations and workplaces
Working closely with the Community Team shaping future projects, securing funding and expanding Options’ impact on disability inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct research into market trends, income opportunities and best practices in inclusive training, consultancy and venue hire.
· Develop and test viable business cases and proposals to support new initiatives and revenue-generating activities.
· Work closely with leadership to implement strategic plans and assess feasibility for new programs.
· Identify target audiences and pricing strategies and support the piloting of income generating activities.
· Monitor and evaluate the impact of new initiatives, ensuring alignment with long-term goals. · Support funding applications and reporting, including the development of evidence-based justifications for investment through grant funding, tender opportunities and innovation funding streams.
· Represent Options in external meetings and networking events to promote our training and consultancy offer.
Person Specification
Essential:
· Experience in research, business development and service innovation – ideally within the disability support, social care, or non-profit sector.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
· Proven ability in developing business cases, funding proposals, and impact assessments.
· Excellent communication skills, including report writing and presenting findings to a range of audiences.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic values-led environment.
· A commitment to inclusion, access and rights-based approaches.
Desirable:
· Knowledge of disability rights, inclusion strategies, or related policy frameworks.

Muscular Dystrophy Support Centre is a user-led charity dedicated to supporting people affected by muscular dystrophy - rare and sometimes life-limiting conditions that impact 110,000 people in the UK. We are one of only two dedicated MD therapy centres in the country and the only one in the Midlands.
We provide long-term, transformative physical therapies and community support to improve mobility, independence and quality of life. In 2025, we aim to support over 600 people through services at our Coventry HQ, satellites across the region, and online.

About the role

You will lead all aspects of charity financial and resource management for two separate but closely connected charities, the Army Cadet Charitable Trust UK (ACCT UK) and the Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA), which are supported by a single head office team. Role Purpose:
The Social Change Nest is going through a very exciting growth period and since our Head of Development is going on maternity leave for 4 months from September we are looking for somebody who can join our growing team as soon as possible. The Senior Development Manager will contribute to our FY25/26 income targets and cover part of the functions of the Head of Development while she’s on leave. The Head of Development manages the Development team, which covers the business development, marketing and communications functions, and works with the CEO to ensure that the organisation grows in a strategic and balanced way.
The Social Change Nest is onboarding and supporting hundreds of new groups every year and we are working closely with funders across the UK and worldwide, helping them move large amounts of funding to unincorporated movements at the frontlines of social change. We are spending more time than ever raising awareness on how capital flows impact the ability of communities to create change, and how we can hack the system to enable more money to flow in an equitable way to unincorporated movements.
We are looking for somebody who is excited about all this and ready to hit the ground running. We are in the middle of a large capital raise, so we would like the ideal candidate to join the team as soon as possible to work closely with the Head of Development and the CEO, as well as the rest of the Development team, for 3 months, before the Head of Development goes on maternity leave. The Senior Development Manager will then take over part of the team support responsibilities of the Head of Development and share responsibility for the income targets with the CEO for the months that the Head of Development is on leave.

Key Responsibilities:
June/July to Aug
- Work closely with the Head of Development to deliver our Development strategy for the financial year FY25/26:
- Identify and secure new funding opportunities with clients, creating tailored proposals to appeal to funder appetite and needs.
- Deliver high-quality bid proposals and pitch documents to support business growth.
- Develop and implement client management and engagement strategies, including our philanthropic networks, enhancing relationships and delivering value.

- Get familiar with our processes and identify opportunities to support and collaborate with other members of the Delivery team and other teams across the organisation:

September to December

- Be an ambassador for the Social Change Nest, representing the business at industry conferences, events and workshops and grow strategic partnerships.

- Support and line manage members of the Development team, as required, in the Head of Development’s absence. The team of 4 works across business development, communications and marketing.
January and February
Ensure a smooth transition and handover of relationships as the Head of Development comes back into post after maternity leave.

About the role
As finance and compliance manager, you will be an important part of our Senior Management Team (SMT) and help us deliver our exciting new strategy. Key responsibilities will include:
- Strategic financial planning and operations management, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded, and controls and procedures are in place to safeguard our assets
- Developing an asset management and investment strategy delivering quality and value for money
- Overseeing compliance and property management, ensuring our buildings are well maintained, compliant, clean and safe
- Working closely with the CEO and SMT, providing financial guidance in support of our objectives and contributing to our strategic direction
To succeed, you will be a qualified accountant (eg. ACA, ACCA or CIMA) and have significant experience gained in a similar role ideally in a charity or housing environment, strong analytical skills and an ability to think operationally and strategically. You will be a key part of our SMT and the delivery of our strategy.

We have an exciting role as a fundraising officer to join our small but ambitious fundraising team. We are embarking on a significant capital redevelopment, and will raise income through trusts and foundations, individual donations and corporate supporters.
You will be responsible for supporting the Head of Fundraising with timely communications to both supporters and prospective donors, researching potential fundraising opportunities, maintaining the CRM system and reconciling fundraising accounts.
You will be involved in the creation of fundraising campaigns and be required to liaise with team members from across the organisation to gather information to develop them. Fundraising sits within the Income Generation team and you will work closely with the Head of Retail and Enterprise and the Marketing Manager.

About the Role
We are seeking a Digital Marketing Officer to join our Development and Communications directorate and contribute to the ICR’s digital marketing needs – in particular, to support fundraising across all digital touchpoints. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing and editing digital fundraising content for the ICR’s website and donation platform; creating content for digital ads, including writing copy, working on video briefs, and collating appropriate imagery; our email marketing by writing compelling copy, building templates and working with data.

STOPAIDS is a UK-based network with over 30 years of experience in the HIV response, and which also works more broadly across global health. We are part of a global movement aiming to address the systemic causes of health inequity, end AIDS, and ensure everyone can access their right to health and well-being. By providing decision-makers with both evidence and advocacy, we drive informed, just decisions that improve access to treatment, prevention, care, and support for HIV and other health conditions.

About the role
STOPAIDS mobilises civil society, parliamentarians, the public and the media to influence decision-makers in the UK and globally on the advocacy impact areas outlined in our 2022-2025 strategy.
In partnership with senior leadership, the Media and Communications Manager will oversee the design and implementation of STOPAIDS' organisational-wide media and communications strategy that amplifies STOPAIDS’ impact and reputation across our key advocacy areas. This work includes providing media and communications guidance, coordination and delivery support to our joint advocacy projects with partners.
Our joint advocacy projects are subject to change, but currently include the Digital Health and Rights Project, the UK Civil Society working group on the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria, the UK Civil Society working group for Unitaid and a new coalition to advocate on the future of the global health architecture.
The Media and Communications Manager will support STOPAIDS and our joint advocacy projects to achieve our advocacy objectives through identifying strategic media opportunities, managing relationships with media outlets, and securing external media coverage. They will also work with staff and partners to develop relevant high-quality media products and to develop and manage online communications content for our key social media and website platforms.
As a capable team leader, the Media and Communications Manager provides expert guidance to staff and partners, is comfortable coordinating and facilitating working groups and supports the leadership of people living with and affected by HIV. They also work with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure that media and communications strategies are aligned and complementary with other organisational strategies and priorities.
As with all STOPAIDS staff, and in partnership with the CEO and the Director for Development & Engagement, they will work to ensure the sustainability of the organisation by contributing 10% of their time to fundraising (to support with application and report writing) and other advocacy support.
The role has a six-month probation period.
