Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Community Outreach Manager to manage and expand our outreach efforts. The Community Outreach Manager will be responsible for leading a team to deliver Betknowmore UK's Community Outreach services, engaging with local communities, and supporting individuals impacted by gambling harms. 

This is a key leadership role that involves overseeing the service’s strategy, operations, and delivery, ensuring that services are accessible, effective, and meet the needs of diverse communities.

‍Key responsibilities and accountabilities

1. Leadership and Team Management:

• Lead and manage the GOALS team, ensuring they have the resources, support, and training to effectively deliver services.
• Provide regular supervision, mentoring, and performance feedback to outreach staff.
• Design and implement training plans to enhance team capabilities and leadership potential. 
• Set individual and team performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and offer constructive feedback. 
• Identify opportunities for improvement and support team members in their growth and development.
• Develop and maintain a high-performing team culture that reflects Betknowmore UK's values and commitment to compassionate, non-judgmental support.

2. Service Delivery and Development:

• Oversee the delivery of community outreach initiatives aimed at raising awareness of gambling harm and providing support to individuals and communities.
• Ensure the team is effectively engaging with local organizations, community groups, and other stakeholders to increase the visibility of our services.
• Monitor the quality of service delivery and make improvements where necessary to meet the needs of service users.
• 3. Strategic Planning and Service Improvement:
• Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement the strategic direction for community outreach services, ensuring alignment with Betknowmore UK's wider objectives.
• Continuously evaluate service effectiveness, gathering feedback from stakeholders, service users, and team members to drive continuous improvement.
• Lead the development and implementation of outreach campaigns and partnerships to engage at-risk communities.

4. Reporting and Compliance:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of outreach activities and case management, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and safeguarding procedures.
• Prepare and present regular reports on service performance, including outcomes, challenges, and achievements.
• Ensure that all outreach services meet organisational standards, as well as external regulatory requirements

5. Stakeholder Engagement and Networking:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including community organizations, local authorities, and support services.
• Represent Betknowmore UK at community events, conferences, and other networking opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with other service lines within the organization to ensure a holistic approach to supporting individuals with gambling-related harm.

Key Requirements

Essential:

• Must be London based as you will be required to attend community events and in-person meetings within the Greater London area.
• Significant experience in a leadership or managerial role within a social services, community outreach, or public health setting.
• Demonstrable experience in managing outreach or support services, with a focus on community engagement and impact.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage a team, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to analyse data and use insights to improve service delivery and outcomes.
• Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of work.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.

Desirable:

• Knowledge and understanding of gambling harm, its impact on individuals and communities, and the available support systems.
• Experience of working in or with the gambling sector, or experience of working with vulnerable or at-risk populations.
• A relevant qualification in social care, public health, or community outreach.
• Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.

The role

As Partner Engagement Manager you will promote the work of Family Fund and maintain a positive profile within the disability sector in Northern Ireland and with key Government/political stakeholders.

You will undertake a range of public affairs and policy activities that help sustain and grow our government funding and that secure positive outcomes for disabled children and their families. You will be acknowledged as a senior Family Fund representative across the disability sector, deputising for the Group CEO, or Directors on committees and at events as required.

You will also identify growth/income opportunities and feed through to relevant internal teams, providing follow up support, as required.

• Engaging with Ministers and MLAs to building awareness and support for Family Fund’s work.

• Inputting to government policy development via consultations and direct work with government departments.
• Promoting the support offered by Family Fund to support demand generation, including targeted work in relation to our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion objectives.
• Supporting our Fundraising Team in identifying and securing funding opportunities that allow Family Fund to provide improved grants/information and support services to families.

About you 

For this role you will need to have experience of presenting to external stakeholders and representing an organisation in a professional capacity. Ideally you will have some knowledge/experience of public affairs or policy development work.

To be successful in this role you will need to be self-motivated and be able to engage positively with different teams. You must be flexible, adaptable and resilient to work demands and change. This post is home based with regular travel.

About the role

At EngineeringUK we use evidence to make a real difference. Through research insight and robust evaluation, we work to improve the impact of our own work, as well as that of other organisations in our sector. Our aim is to make a positive difference to young people’s lives and securing the diverse engineering and technology workforce the UK needs to thrive. The research and evaluation team consists of 6 researchers and analysts who work to provide these insights.

This is an exciting opportunity to deliver and develop our evaluation projects, to help build an evidence-base for engineering and technology outreach activities and to shape how we use this evidence to inform our own and others’ practice.

With support from the Head of Evaluation and Impact, you will be the operational lead on our evaluations, with responsibility for:

• critically assessing the evidence required to ascertain impact of engineering and technology outreach activities across a complex landscape, with an emphasis on groups historically underrepresented in the engineering and technology professions
• designing and managing the evaluation of our educational programmes, including the practicalities and logistics of collecting/analysing these data, and reporting findings to internal and external stakeholders
• working with colleagues to embed learning from evaluation findings into our future activities and the wider evidence base on the impact of engineering outreach activity
• developing advice and guidance on evaluation and impact measurement to support the engineering outreach community to evaluate their activity more robustly.
   

This job would ideally suit an experienced monitoring and evaluation professional interested in evaluating education programmes with a focus on increasing opportunities for young people from underrepresented groups.

• Knowledge of and experience in using evaluation techniques/practices, ideally with familiarity of education outreach programmes
• Ability to design and use quantitative and qualitative data collection tools and analyse these data using widely used analysis software (for example, SPSS, STATA, R, CAQDAS)
• Experience in undertaking literature searches and reviews, identifying relevant evidence, appraising its quality, and summarising the body of existing work

As a Future Frontiers Partnerships Manager, your role is to identify, develop and maintain mutually beneficial partnerships with organisations which work with us to enable our mission. This is key to delivering our work and making a lasting difference for young people from under-resourced backgrounds on their education and career journeys. 

The focus of the role is on building meaningful, long-term relationships with schools and/or businesses, to match young people from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds with business professionals who can provide insight into the world of work and guidance to help young people unlock their aspirations and develop the plans and skills they need to be successful. 

Our Partnerships Managers each have a focus on a priority audience, either schools or businesses, and on an activity area, either new business development or account management. The role we are currently recruiting for will have a main focus on driving new business from companies. 

Your responsibilities

The focus of each role could expand or change depending on the needs of the organisation. Current priorities and targets are reflected in each individual’s objectives for the year - these are regularly reviewed to ensure that they remain relevant and create ownership and stretch for each individual.

• Deliver targeted campaigns and pitches of the most appropriate product(s) / way(s) to engage; handle objections and negotiate terms to help Future Frontiers to achieve income and impact targets and support more young people to achieve their potential 

Maintain relationships; renew and grow partnerships

• Nurture relationships with existing partners, working with colleagues across Future Frontiers to ensure smooth delivery and an exceptional partner experience

• Explore opportunities to grow partnerships through working together in different ways and/or extending involvement to more pupils or colleagues

• Regularly request feedback and respond to suggestions from partners, helping them to feed involved and engaged with Future Frontiers’ work and development

Set up and enable successful partnership working

About you

Experience and knowledge  

• Experience in a fundraising, sales or account management role, ideally working with businesses and/or schools (essential)

We are hiring a Deputy Manager to deliver quality services to children and young people with learning disabilities and/or Autism.  The job is based in our wonderful five bedded home in Tower Hamlets providing fun-based after school activities and short breaks for a small group of children with Autism in a residential setting.  

The role will involve balancing multiple priorities in running an essential and inspirational service for children and young people with Autism.  You will support with strategic and logistical planning while also carrying out hands-on work alongside the rest of the team, ensuring a child centred approach is maintained at all times, and involving children, young people and parents and carers in decision-making structures. There is ample scope for development, identifying any gaps in existing provisions and expanding services accordingly. This deputy manager will be ambitious to maintain and further develop the positive and invaluable work of this service.

You will support, and be supported by, our Ofsted Registered Manager and be responsible for delivering services that are fully compliant with all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements. The Trusts and Foundations Manager is an exciting new role and will join our small but expanding Guts UK fundraising team.  Trusts and Foundations is a relatively new income stream for us, with real potential.

We are seeking a Dementia Carers Support Officer who can make a positive difference to the lives of unpaid carers in the diverse communities of Redbridge. We are a Queen's Award winning charity with over 30 years experience of supporting unpaid carers in Redbridge. The post holder will focus on supporting carers of someone with dementia, by providing them with advice, information, referrals and access to peer social and learning activities.  The role requires an understanding of health and social care services, particularly in relation to support for unpaid carers and someone who can show compassion and understanding to carers in crises or facing complex challenges.  A key outcome is ensuring carers can live a healthy and fulfilling life alongside caring and not be at risk of acute isolation.

This is a varied role, suited to someone with the experience and confidence to lead peer groups, activities, outreach and work with professionals at all levels.  There is plenty of scope within the role to develop new services in response to carer needs.  The post holder will work within a team of Community Support Officers. Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday, working across a rota which will include day and night shifts as we provide a 24 hour service.  

About the role

We are looking for a Deputy Service Manager to join our team based in Croydon, providing leadership and line management to a team of night staff which is around 10 people in total. You will provide support and supervision sessions at night, and general leadership to the team so they feel empowered to be productive and perform well within their roles. You will further ensure a quality service is delivered in line with our contractual requirements to the residents. You will be responsible for creating a psychologically informed environment (PIE) with person centred support during all hours. You will work closely with the day teams to ensure a smooth handover from the day to night. 

This service is a Forensic Mental Health provision for 27 people across 4 sites in Croydon. For your own personal safety, you will require to have access to your own transport as you will need to travel between our 4 sites during the night shift to provide managerial support to the teams. The teams support our residents with person centred support, to empower them to overcome their personal barriers with their mental health, to have greater independence and fulfilled living. The service is responsible for holding various activities, group sessions, and one to one support to enable residents to build their personal skills and experiences to achieve their goals. 

The role includes:

• Line Management and Leadership, supporting your team providing advice, guidance and support throughout their employment lifecycle
• Support the Service Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service
• Risk Management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed
• Property and Housing Management, ensuring the accommodation meets our requirements, and repairs and maintenance are regularly reported and completed
• Financial Management, including petty cash and budget management
• Contract management and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Partnerships Manager to join our small and dynamic team.
