Communicating with founders

• Acting as the main point of contact for entrepreneurs on a cohort, ensuring they all have the information they need to get the most out of programmes
• Communicating with founders individually and as a cohort including via phone, email, zoom
• Leading on administrative matters, including calendar invitations, permissions, photographs, and communications 

Programme delivery and support

• Ensuring that workshops, events, and sessions run smoothly and deliver a great experience for everyone involved 
• Providing technological support with tools including Zoom breakout rooms, Circle etc.
• Producing materials to support founders’ learning, including PDFs, slides, and spreadsheets
• Supporting the programme manager with the recruitment of founders which sometimes includes; Interviewing, shortlisting, and selection during recruitment cycles. 

Working with external freelancers and volunteers

• Briefing and training skilled volunteers, experts and facilitators to ensure high-quality delivery of support sessions
• Coordinating 1:1 support for founders with skilled volunteers/experts on the programmes
• Ensuring the right contracts with founders, facilitators and expert speakers are in place
• Helping maintain our database of expert speakers, freelancers and volunteers
• Identifying and onboarding new freelancers and volunteers by networking, researching, and attending external events
• Keeping track of and processing invoices from freelancers

Support Coordinator

We are looking for an innovative, passionate, and professional individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to join our Stroke Recovery Service based in Central Bedfordshire.

Position: S11170 Stroke Association Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based, Central Bedfordshire, however frequent travel will be required as part of this role (to include home visits, team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Salary: Circa £17,189 per annum (FTE circa £26,700 per annum)

The Role

Reporting to a Service Delivery Coach in the East of England, you will have the ability to support stroke survivors to identify their goals. Using strong assessment skills and a person-centred approach enabling them to maximise their recovery and improve communication.

The Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOphth) is a membership organisation and the voice of the profession, with over 4,000 members in the UK and overseas. Our role is to champion the specialty, set standards of training and practice, and influence change to make a difference to the lives of patients with eye conditions.

Job Purpose

The National Ophthalmology Database (NOD) is a core Department workstream using clinical audit data to identify improvements and provide advice, to inform patient care, safety, and service delivery. This is a new role working with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and support the programe manager to deliver activities of the NOD. The post requires strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. The role will be responsible for all aspects of project support and day-to-day management of the NOD website, including implementation of new developments with the supplier and analysis of usage to suggest areas for improvement.

Main Areas of Work and Responsibility

• Assist the NOD Manager in project planning to identify and track deviations from the project plan and budget, identifying and logging any risks and issues, and improving project procedures
• Support the NOD Manager with administration, project outputs, applying and explaining the information governance, outlier, and other project policies to stakeholders
• Management of the NOD website including liaising with the website supplier, working with the NOD Manager to develop a content schedule, editing content, assisting users with queries, authorising user access

Global Generation is looking for a Youth Programmes and Outreach Coordinator who is passionate about engaging young people and local communities in reaching their full potential and creating positive social and environmental change. These practices help us to create the conditions for people to come together in a fuller and more connected sense of who they are and what they are a part of and, from that space, to practically and creatively contribute to ecological and social change. 

Young people have always been and continue to be at the heart of our work. We aim to support them to develop and lead, offering progression opportunities to move from being participants to being action researchers, co-facilitators and ambassadors, to being paid fellows, staff and trustees.

This role is primarily based at the Story Garden and Floating Garden in King’s Cross (and eventually on the new garden we will be building) and working with our Islington community. You will work closely with the education & community programmes team, gardeners, chefs, volunteers and young people, running hands-on and reflective sessions for people of all ages.
 

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

The two main areas of the role are:

1. Outreach, engagement and recruitment

• Lead on the recruitment and engagement of young people throughout the year, primarily through schools, colleges, community groups, local referral agencies, and local network meetings and events

• Develop a diverse range of engaging outreach / recruitment materials, including social media content for the purposes of showcasing our work and inspiring other young people to join

• Create and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of audiences, including young people, parents, local community groups and businesses

• Inspire young people to participate via assemblies, talks, outreach workshops and follow up phone calls

• Assist young people and their parents through the sign-up process from initial expression of interest to joining our programmes, through being in regular contact in the ways that work best for young people

• Retention of young people through active engagement in person and phone calls and/or texts prior to each session

• Attend local forums, actively participate in networks of local organisations, and build relationships with organisations and local people to engage them in the co-build of the new permanent garden

2. Programme Planning, Coordination and Facilitation

• Work closely with the Youth Programmes team in planning, facilitating and evaluating sessions with young people

• Inspire and support young people to lead on their own socially and environmentally impactful projects in the local area

• Work alongside the wider Global Generation teams (kitchen, garden, natural build) and in partnership with other local organisations and businesses to enhance the opportunities available to young people

• Document and evaluate the youth programmes you are working on using creative means through a wide range of approaches, incorporating quantitative and qualitative data

• Report to funders in a range of formats depending on what is needed

• The programmes you will coordinate and co-facilitate are:

• Friday Night Out: Fortnightly after-school cooking programme (4:00-6:30pm), engaging children (8-12 year olds) in discovering the joys of seed to plate, seasonal and sustainable food, growing, harvesting and cooking their own produce. You will work alongside one of our chefs so do not need to be a chef, though an interest in sustainable food and gardening experience is desirable

• Generator programme: Regular after-school workshops and experiences for young people aged 13+,  incorporating a range of approaches and hands-on and reflective activities to support the holistic development of young people and encourage them to take social and environmental action in their communities

• Partnership with Heatherwick Studio as part of a collaborative Young Inspirers programme, linking local school children with opportunities in their studio

You will also work with the Youth & Community Team to plan and deliver community / intergenerational events and experiences that bring people of different ages together.

As the Youth Programmes and Outreach Coordinator, you will be outgoing and love working and reaching out to people across backgrounds and sectors; you will be ready to take initiative, have a flexible attitude, be able to think on your feet and enjoy finding solutions when faced with challenges and change.  You will be able to communicate your passion for Global Generation’s work, the natural environment and social justice to others, particularly young people, in a creative and engaging way, responding to where people are at, and adapting your approach based on this. You will have prior experience of working with schools and finding ways to make the offer relevant to the priorities and needs of young people.

Wandsworth WellFamily and Foodbank Service is an adult mental health service serving the Wandsworth community and based in foodbanks and GP surgeries across the London Borough of Wandsworth. We offer short term, holistic support focusing on the needs of the whole family whilst directly supporting the adult.

Reporting to the Director, Research Business Development, the successful candidate will enhance the institute’s business development activities by providing administrative and coordination support for business development, contracts, and risk management. Providing administrative and coordination support on bids, contracts, and new business activities: 

• Assist the Bids Manager with compiling information about RUSI as an organisation, its registrations, policies, organisational structure, banking and insurance details, financial information, and other generic details to be included in bid submissions and for due diligence. 

• Support the Bids Manager/Director of Research Business Development with administration and coordination of specific components on large bids.

Maintaining and improving business development processes and systems: 

• Ensure the business development team trackers (action log, new funding opportunities etc.) are accurate and up to date. 

• Work closely with RUSI’s Legal and Contracts and Finance teams to finalise funder contracts and ensure that final copies are saved centrally, and key information is distributed to relevant teams. Ensure that relevant and accurate funder information is tracked by the finance system for ongoing analysis. 

• Review drafts of subcontractor agreements and work closely with RUSI’s Legal and Contracts team to manage the process for preparing, securing approval, finalising, and sharing sub-contracts. 

• Act as central point of contact for the research funding pipeline, ensure it is functioning as needed and respond to ad hoc questions.

• Manage the team’s Sharepoint page, ensuring that it is useful and relevant for research colleagues, with high-quality templates and guidance.

• In coordination with colleagues on the Communications team, update RUSI’s customer relationship management (CRM) system with accurate, relevant and up-to-date funder information and develop and promote best practice for CRM usage for BD.

• Update RUSI funders on the website annually, ensuring that they are accurate and that we have appropriate permissions to acknowledge them publicly.

• Assist in preparing training materials and internal presentations, including by conducting data analysis.

Location: Spear Clapham Junction and Spear Hammersmith

Contract: Permanent, Full-time

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9.30am - 5.30pm with some out-of-hours work needed for events such as our Spear Celebrations

Salary: from £30,000

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

Strategy, vision and impact [25%]

• Be at the forefront of leading Resurgo’s ‘big picture’ vision of a transformed society, empowering churches to transform young lives
• Build and implement a strategy for developing relationships with local referral agencies to ensure effective recruitment of young people onto the Spear programme
• Oversee the reporting of the Centre outcomes and ensure the Spear Programme is delivered in line with agreed targets

Leadership, line management and training [25%]

• Lead your team with confidence; spurring them on in Resurgo’s mission; invest in a team culture of excellence, belonging and fun
• Manage and develop the Lead Coach and Graduate Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development. This includes weekly 1:1s, performance reviews and regular feedback
• Equip your team to drive change through a data informed approach, and keep them accountable to agreed targets for the Spear Programme

Relationship management [20%]

• Manage great relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, donors, and your Board of Trustees
• Embed into your local church; working closely with your Spear Trustees and congregation, and actively participating in their mission and events
• Partner with the Spear Trustees and assist in implementing their funding strategy by helping to build corporate and donor relationships. For example, by hosting prospective donors in the Training Room

Delivery of the Spear Programme [20%]

• Support group and 1-1 coaching with numerous 16-24-year-olds: equipping them with practical work-ready skills and resilient mindsets
• Provide guidance to the Lead Coach in the training room when dealing with behavioural and safeguarding situations and upskill coaches with consistent coaching feedback
• Use a coaching approach to engage young people in challenging conversations that will enable them to take responsibility and over significant barriers to employment

Operations [10%]

• Liaise with relevant staff regarding site operations and work to resolve any issues as soon as possible, ensuring the office and training room are safe and tidy working spaces in line with health and safety policies

This role will suit you if:

• You are an active Christian, passionate about your work being a lived expression of your faith
• You want to help others reach their full potential, and enable young people to overcome significant barriers to employment
• You have demonstrable experience in coaching, teaching or training and development, as well as being keen to develop these skills further
• You are an experienced and mature leader/line manager, or have great leadership potential, and are eager to bring out the best in your team
• You are confident building relationships with a variety of stakeholders, with effective written and verbal communication skills
• You are steady under pressure, and able to juggle competing priorities
• You are looking for a varied, hands-on role, where you won't be tied to a desk
• You are IT literate

A couple of things to note:

This role requires occasional evening work, for our termly Spear Celebrations (where we celebrate our trainees as they complete the initial six weeks of the programme)
