About the Role
As a critical member of the strategic leadership team (SLT) for Emmaus UK, the Director of Partnerships and Federation Development will take lead responsibility for ensuring the provision of high-quality support, advice, capacity building and grant-making for federation members in the UK.
The postholder will play a key role in the development of national strategic partnerships and will collaborate with federation members to ensure that federation strategic priorities are delivered and that our colleagues across the federation are able to do their very best work supporting people to overcome homelessness and poverty.
The role will also ensure effective programme and project management of directorate projects and work to embed cross-directorate working and co-operation.

One in seven people in the UK experience tinnitus. This role will positively and proactively innovate, manage and improve Tnnitus UK's services and build on the reputation of Tinnitus UK to date. This role leads Tinnitus UK's efforts in providing direct support to Tinnitus through multiple channels including telephone, and online. In addition liaises with regional support group leaders in the provision of support, face to face and locally. Given that Tinnitus UK is the only charity in the UIK to provide such services delivery of these services at the highest standard is essential and consequently enhances the reputation of the charity,
The position is responsible for the development of the strategic and annual plans associated with the provision of these support services, and has direct day to day responsibility for implementing them through multiple channels (helpline services, support group and volunteer programme, events) nationally in Tinnitus UK.
This role provides strategic oversight and management of the services portfolio (helpline services, support group and volunteer programme, events) nationally in Tinnitus UK. The post holder works with the Chief Exeutive and the rest of the Leadership team to deliver services, ensuring that goals are achieved through effective management practices, that staff are motivated and supported to build sustainable services to meet the needs and expectations of the tinnitus community and work closesly with research to remain up to date on the latest understanding of the issues that cause tinnitus and solutions that help address and mitigate the challenges facing sufferers. The role ensures that all activities are carried out in accordance with statutory requirements, quality standards, information governance requiremens and organisational policies.
This role will maintain and develop Tinnitus UK's digital offerings, ensuring these are delivered in ways that help and encourage people to access our services now and in the future. This will include maintaining and monitoring existing services and developing, testing and embedding new ones.
Main Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement our services strategy
- Strategic and operational oversight of all Tinnitus UK's services to the tinnitus community, optimising both digital and traditional models and ensuring relevance and quality
- Innovatively improve and extend Tinnitus UK service provision, with a primary focus on people living with tinnitus, recognising that Support Services should be available at all times when people need them, calling for a strong digital capability
- Identify relevant people and organisations and build relationships to enable better support around the UK for poeple with tinnitus.
- Work with all staff to ensure Tinnitus UK's information and engagement services are understood and well delivered by all staff.
2. Intergrated approach to service user involvement
- Continually analyse and understand the needs of people with tinnitus, care givers, regional co-ordinators, partners and other stakeholders and develop appropriate services to meet them
- Ensure Tinnitus UK's support group network maintain best practice and work with colleagues to identify under-performing groups and develop action plans for improvement
- Establish links with key internal teams and external bodies, managing risk and helping to evaluate our involvement in partnerships and collaborative work.
3. Understanding the needs of the tinnitus community
- Run focus groups to fully understand the needs of people with tinnitus
4. Develop Tinnitus UK's outreach services to people who experience tinnitus
- Lead strategic development of Tinnitus UK's helpline and other outreach services.
- Identify gaps in tinnitus support service provision and work with colleagues to ensure they are filled
- Ensure connectivity between service users' journey across Tinnitus UK's services
- Oversee development of Tinnitus UK's chatbot function in relation to tinnitus support
5. Volunteering and placements
- Work with relevant staff to develop the programme for internal and external volunteering opportunities designed to enhance service delivery and encourage growth of individual volunteers
- Coordinate placements as and when required to ensure the organisation benefits from them
6. Events
- Work with relevant staff to implement a programme of events (conferences, awareness events, training courses) to meet the needs of the tinnitus community
- Lead the innovation of events, using digital and other tools to widen their availability to make them more diverse

- Lead Tinnitus UK's work to assess social impact and value
- Ensure Tinnitus UK's tinnitus support services are founded on evidence-based research and that our advice to people living with tinnitus remains accurate and appropriate in response to developments in the treatment of tinnitus.

- Work with staff and volunteers to ensure a high quality information service
8. Leadership
- Work as part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to ensure oversight of strategic and operational matters and support the Chief Executive

As part of the Trusts and Institutional funding team of four you’ll work alongside the Head of Trusts and Institutional, Trusts Manager, Trusts Executive and the new Trusts and Institutional Funding Executive. The main task of the Institutional Funding Lead is to secure funding from UK-based institutional donors, with a primary focus on the FCDO.
You will drive forward dynamic and proactive engagement strategies directly with UK-based institutional donors and indirectly through consortia, as well as developing and supporting organisational positioning for contracts and grants.
This role will introduce innovative and agile funding approaches and models to enhance War Child UK’s competitiveness in a complex donor environment. You’ll achieve this by working closely with the War Child Alliance Foundation to research and analyse opportunities, enhance and support donor engagement plans, and drive forward engagement opportunities to maximise and secure funding.
About the role
- Develop and strengthen a network of contacts with relevant representatives from UK institutional donors and partners, primarily FCDO, institutional foundations and INGOs, to enable consortia to develop and grow.
- Identify funding needs within War Child and match them with institutional funding opportunities by engaging with country teams, the regional teams and the Alliance institutional funding coordination.
- Lead the co-creation, coordination, and design of complex and challenging proposals for institutional funding opportunities, including multi-country opportunities or large-scale consortium bids.
- Line manage the new Trusts and Institutional Funding Executive providing professional development and support.
About you
- Experience of co-creating, leading, and coordinating complex proposal development processes, ideally for relevant donors including FCDO and humanitarian pooled funds.
- Strong understanding of donor compliance, with an up-to-date knowledge of relevant donors including FCDO, and humanitarian pooled funds.
- Experience in building networks, partnerships, and consortia to maximise programme impact and funding opportunities.
- Line management or leadership experience.

About the role
The Corporate Partnerships Manager role is responsible for delivery across the breadth of the partnerships pipeline. An estimated 50% of the role will be devoted to new business development, including prospect identification, and shaping and delivering pitches and proposals to corporates and their foundations to meet fundraising targets. The remaining 50% of partnership work will be dedicated to delivering an excellent standard of partnership management to several longstanding existing supporters, working creatively to identify and develop opportunities to maximise their impact.
As our corporate supporters can be powerful partners in the delivery of our advocacy and communications goals you will be confident working with colleagues internally to translate campaign plans into engagement opportunities for private sector partners. You will also be able to co-ordinate colleagues to meet new business deadlines and to ensure agreed partnership deliverables are achieved.
This role sits within our Philanthropy and Partnerships team of five, who focus on income generation through grants, philanthropy, corporate partnerships and individual giving and fundraising. The post holder will work particularly closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships, as well as equipping Directors and our CEO to engage corporate partners and prospects where appropriate. As a member of a comparatively small, highly ambitious team, there may, with time, be opportunities for the post holder to extend their experience beyond corporate partnerships, into other fundraising areas, should your skill set meet an identified need.
About you
You may be an established corporate fundraiser seeking a role where you can take on greater responsibility for managing your own pipeline of prospects and key partnerships. Equally you may come from outside the sector and be able to offer clearly transferable experience of securing and developing partnerships (especially those with a “purpose” focus).
Whatever your background you will be a self-starter who is highly motivated and excited by the opportunity to think creatively about corporate partnerships that can enable Malaria No More UK’s unique advocacy and campaigning offer, with a clear goal to ending one of the world’s most significant and oldest killer diseases.

Senior Development Officer (Fundraising)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Role:The Senior Development Officer plays an integral role within the Development Team at Forces Employment Charity (FEC). You will work with the Head of Development to produce high quality, bespoke proposals, and reports to demonstrate impact and outcomes to help drive the delivery of FEC across the UK. You will also work within the team to research and identify new fundraising opportunities from trusts, foundations and companies and convert these into long term business relationships.
This position provides a full-time, permanent contract with hybrid working hours, consisting of a 35-hour week. The role allows for hybrid work, including remote work from home, with one day per month at our head office in London.
Principle Responsibilities:
- To work closely with the Head of Development to research and identify new opportunities.
- Develop, prepare, and submit high quality funding applications, acting as bid writing SME.
- Peer Review support to mentor other team members.
- Work with Head of Development to increase the accuracy of our Salesforce data, resulting in data dashboards suitable to the reporting needs of our funders.
- Collaborate with Development and Senior F&R Officer to implement a team strategy and support a lean process of reporting.
