Job description

Ethiopiaid is a small NGO based in central Bath and we are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our team whilst our Fundraising Manager is on maternity leave.

As an organisation we focus on fundraising in the UK in order to deliver grants to our Ethiopian led partner organisations.  They deliver programmes for the vulnerable and marginalised across the country - we listen to their needs and then support them with the funding needed to put their plans into action.

You will head up our small individual giving (IG) team at Ethiopiaid managing all aspects of our direct mail appeals, cold acquisition programme, donor stewardship and engagement, improve our digital offering and support the rest of the IG team to deliver on their objectives.

You will have line management responsibilities for 1, possibly 2 (recruitment pending), members of the team and will work closely with the Snr Fundraising and Compliance Officer (also in the IG team).

We need someone who can hit the ground running with: · At least 3 years fundraising experience in individual giving programmes and direct mail campaigns · Competency in Raisers Edge database or a similar CRM platform · A creative approach to storytelling and experience of copywriting for fundraising appeals that achieve results · Donor stewardship experience · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Line management experience · Attention to detail and accuracy · Good emotional intelligence · Good knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office · Energetic with a sense of fun
