Who are we looking for:
It is expected that the Senior Emergency Supply Chain Specialist (SESCS) will have significant prior experience in humanitarian supply chains, at international, regional, and local level and will have extensive experience in delivering aid in an emergency context. The SESCS is an enthusiastic team member and a creative problem-solver with a keen eye for detail. They see opportunities in challenges and have outstanding interpersonal skills. This role would be ideally suited to someone with humanitarian emergency response experience both at an HQ, regional and field level. This role is suited to someone who has experience in mentoring junior colleagues and who is looking to progress their career and take on line management responsibilities, whilst also working directly on delivering emergency response programmes. The role will be starting at a time where ShelterBox is going through significant change with a Business Systems Transformation taking place across the organisation to improve our ways of working. This will allow us to be more effective in the face of mounting humanitarian needs and we therefore look forward to welcoming candidates who remain flexible and open to change.
Role purpose
This role will be a core member of the Supply Chain Team, within the International Programmes Directorate and will report to the Programme Supply Chain Manager. The SESCS will work closely with the Supply Chain Managers, Emergency Team, Regional Directors and Programme Managers and it is expected that the SESCS will be assigned to work mainly on the Emergency Responses and line manage Emergency / Supply Chain Specialists or Junior Supply Chain Specialists. Although other regions and countries may also require support at times. The SESCS will engage in numerous tasks and projects encompassing the entire supply chain, from global and local scoping, tactical planning, and strategic supply chain management, to negotiation, procurement, and readiness. The goal of the SESCS is to assist ShelterBox aid recipients by managing humanitarian supplies to provide aid and support to disaster-stricken areas, both from a distance and on-site.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Lead and coordinate the design and implementation of the supply chain for an assigned Emergency Response or Programme. This includes assessing and selecting supply options/route; supporting tax free importation and customs clearance; developing last-mile logistics solutions including in-country freight and warehousing; supporting the sourcing of operational services and goods at a local, regional, and global level; advising and reviewing partner procurement; and supporting CVA modalities to ensure high quality, timely responses.
- Responsible for tendering international freight requests to ensure best value, service, and accountability for movement of relief supplies. Including overseeing shipping of aid items by air, sea, road, or rail and arranging the preparation and provision of relevant shipping documentation.
- Establish, develop, and lead on good supply chain relationships with freight forwarders, suppliers, other humanitarian actors, relevant government departments and logistics coordination mechanisms (Logs Cluster) at both global, regional, and field levels.
- Work with the Emergency Team and wider International Programmes Department to set up partnerships with other organisations.
- Provide line management and support to Emergency / Supply Chain Specialists/Junior Supply Chain specialists. Provide supervision to staff and volunteers during deployment and/or when providing on call remote support.
- Support with developing and delivering supply chain training for internal and external audiences.
- Be able to deploy and be the focal point for supply chain activities, setting up and overseeing the timely delivery of aid items and assistance. Possessing the ability to separate from the main team along with some team members and assume the role of a team leader for that subgroup.
- Be part of a roster and provide an out-of-hours first point of contact for supply chain activities for emergencies and deployed teams.
- Support ShelterBox to seek out new trends, innovations, and best practice in supply chain within the disaster relief sector. Be a champion for supply chain improvements within the International Programmes Department.
- Support the development of Supply Chain approaches, tools, templates policies and procedures to ensure more effective and efficient emergency responses.
- Identify, mitigate, and record supply chain risk in emergency responses and programmes and escalate when required.
- Contribute to delivering emergency preparedness activities.
- Play an active role in driving forward modifications in how we operate to enable ShelterBox to achieve our sustainable supply chain targets which include a significant reduction in carbon emissions.
- In collaboration with Global Supply Chain Manager support the management of prepositioned inventory including monitoring appropriate inventory levels, supporting tactical and strategic replenishments.
- Maintain excellent information management of supply chain activities, to ensure accurate record keeping and accountability and transparency of aid.
- Provide regular reporting and briefings for internal and occasionally external use.
- Ensure adherence to ShelterBox procedures and policies including those relating to safeguarding, code of conduct, safety, and security.

About the role
As Programme Finance Officer you will provide support to the full life cycle of grants: from donor concept proposals to final reports. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The role leads on the delivery of Bond’s corporate and CEO level events. This role is managed by the Head of Communications but also works with the corporate and marketing team, the Director of Membership and Communications and CEO.
The primary focus of this role is to manage and deliver high-quality events for Bond’s corporate partners to help them reach their target audiences, and to deliver high level events for CEOs and senior leaders across our network to help provide senior leaders with the support and skills needed to provide effective and supportive leadership.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Corporate events:
• Manage and deliver a range of events to fulfil contractual commitments with corporate partners.
• Ensure the successful execution of events, including hybrid and face-to-face components, across various locations including potential European venues.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality events that meet partner expectations and contribute to revenue generation.
2) CEO engagement events:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive program of events targeting CEOs and senior leaders within our network.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
The ideal candidate would:
• Have at least 2 years experience of events organisation and management in a similar or comparable setting

Self Help Africa is an international development organisation that works through agriculture and Agri-enterprise development to end hunger and extreme poverty.

Job Purpose:
The Fundraising and Administration Officer role primarily focuses on providing excellent supporter care and administrative support within the fundraising department. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining supporter relations, optimising fundraising efforts, and ensuring efficient administrative processes are in place.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporter Care:
- To be a first point of contact for the Fundraising Department, answering the phone and meeting and greeting people who arrive to the office.
- Respond to enquiries from supporters, prospective supporters and volunteers via telephone, e-mail, and post, maintaining excellent supporter relations.
- Ensure timely and appropriate acknowledgments, using both standard and bespoke correspondence.
- To adhere to administrative procedures to ensure the delivery of a high-quality service which is compliant with all relevant legislation, policies, regulations, and guidelines.
- Provide admin support for Direct Mail letters and appeals, including the use of mail merge, when required.
- Assist with the ongoing stewardship of Regular Givers.
Community Fundraising:
- Co-ordinate the recruitment and appropriate use of volunteers to support fundraising.
- Develop relationships with volunteer fundraisers, with the aim of maximising the funds they raise through challenges, events and talks.
- Support the formation of volunteer fundraising groups.
- Support ongoing and new events within the UK, which may include occasional weekend and evening work.
- Take the lead with the co-ordination and administration of public collections in the UK.
- Take the lead in monitoring fundraising merchandise, and liaise with suppliers, for fundraising materials, including Christmas Cards.
Digital Marketing:
- Support in developing UK digital fundraising opportunities.
- Administer digital acquisition campaigns in the UK e.g. through digital advertising, to generate new donors.
Database Management (Training will be provided):
- Create and maintain contact records on Salesforce, ensuring supporter information is kept up to date by recording changes to mailing preferences, gift aid eligibility and contact details etc.
- Database maintenance and housekeeping e.g. identifying and merging duplicate records, removing, or archiving redundant data, adhering to GDPR protocols.
Finance Administration (Training will be provided):
- Efficiently process and reconcile incoming donations, received daily by post, online and phone. Bank cheques and cash on a weekly basis, and process credit card and CAF donations.
- Record all donations to Salesforce, ensuring the accurate coding of income to the correct source and supporter.
- Administer new Direct Debit instructions.
- Support monthly and quarterly reports demonstrating fundraising income received against budget, to inform the management team and provide accurate forecasting.
- Scan and upload credit card statements and invoices for payment by the Finance team.
- Record and reconcile petty cash expenditure.
- Assist the Finance team in the reconciliation of all income received, responding to any queries.
General Office Administration:
- Order office stationery and fundraising supplies, as required.
- Co-ordinate general office maintenance, as required.
- Arrange accommodation for staff travel to Shrewsbury.

Knowledge, Experience and Other Requirements:
Essential
- Relevant qualifications from a Further Education Institution or equivalent office/administration experience in a busy environment, preferably in fundraising or marketing.
- Excellent planning, administrative, organisational and time management skills, to deliver and cope with a busy workload.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent keyboard and numeracy skills, with a high-level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, especially Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude; flexible, adaptable, and able to work independently.
- Commitment to Self Help Africa’s vision of an economically thriving and resilient rural Africa.
Desirable
- Working knowledge of marketing/relationship CRM databases, such as Salesforce.
- Experience of processing and managing data.
- Educated to degree level.
- Full driving licence and access to a car.
- First Aid Certificate.

Internal Auditor
Contract: Permanent, Full Time, (part-time will be considered)
Location: The role will be based in the UK or one of the following countries where WaterAid works: Tanzania, Nigeria, South Africa, or Nepal, subject to right-to-work eligibility in the respective countries.

About the Team:
WaterAid has established an internal audit function within the Global Assurance Team in order to provide Directors and Trustees with an opinion on the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management and governance. Internal Audit carries out audits in the UK, other WaterAid Federation Member Countries and WaterAid Country Programmes, including audits of partner organisations. Internal Audit also provides an advisory service to management on issues of risk management, governance and control. The internal audit function is independent and reports directly to the Chief Executive.
About the Role:
As our diligent and tenacious Internal Auditor, you will deliver an agreed programme of audits across WaterAid and its partner organisations and other ad hoc work and investigations as necessary. WaterAid is committed to ensuring the highest levels of professional competence and financial integrity. The post holder will be expected to meet this commitment through the delivery of an agreed programme of internal audit work, by performing audits across the WaterAid global federation and its partner organisations, supporting management on ad hoc projects, conducting investigations and reviews, as necessary. The post holder will be required to follow and work in accordance with professional auditing standards.
In this role, you'll:
- Deliver internal audits to provide assurance that financial and other control procedures are appropriate and implemented as designed. Internal audits will cover UK head office functions, other WaterAid Federation Member Countries, regional offices, Country Programmes and partner organisations and will involve the following tasks:-
- Respond to requests for assistance and advice from management in respect of any matters relating to systems of control, risk management and governance. This will include the following tasks:-
- Input to the development of the Global Assurance function with:
- Undertake investigations into suspected fraud, or other financial irregularities, whilst complying with best practice and data protection, confidentiality etc
About You:
- A professional CCAB (Consultative Committee of Accounting Bodies) accounting qualification or accredited member of the CIIA (Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors)
- Honesty, integrity, tenacity and sensitivity
- Experience and understanding of risk-based audit techniques
- Strong numeric, analytical and financial skills, with an aptitude for budgeting and financial management
- Good understanding of risk management and internal controls
- Good communication and report writing skills, with either native proficiency or advanced professional proficiency in English
- Confident to communicate with all levels of management and Trustees
- Excellent time management and organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple assignments and meet deadlines
- Good IT literacy
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work across different cultures
- A willingness to travel and an ability to work independently with limited supervision
Although not essential, we also prefer you to have:
- Experience of working in the INGO sector
- Proficiency of auditing using data analytics techniques
- Qualifications and/or experience in fraud investigations
- Knowledge of French or Portuguese
- And/or knowledge of South Asian or African languages from countries where WaterAid works
