Job description

Are you passionate about music education and inspiring young musicians to reach their full potential? Can you drive organisational priorities at SFE as part of the Senior Leadership Team? Can you lead our highly skilled team towards a new and exciting future? 

We're looking for a new Head of Music Service to join us ahead of the new academic year. The role encompasses:

· Shaping culture - working alongside other SLT colleagues to continue to shape our organisational ethos and culture, enabling all colleagues to develop to their full potential.

· Stakeholder collaboration - Work closely with Music Service colleagues, partner organisations and funding bodies to deliver the National Plan for Music Education 2 across all phases in schools and other settings

· Budget management - Balance effective and sustainable allocation of resources with maximising our reach and impact

· Funding advocacy - Engage with current and potential funding bodies to secure ongoing support for music programmes and associated initiatives

· Educational excellence - Promote the value of music within a broad and balanced curriculum, supporting wellbeing and improving educational attainment

· Horizon scanning - Keep us ahead of changes in educational policy, developing our strategy to ensure we continue to adapt and remain relevant 

· Continuous improvement - As a people focused leader, drive ongoing enhancements across our music service that supports our purpose, fosters growth and builds engagement
