The role
As Head of Flourishing Programmes, you will lead the strategic and operational delivery and expansion of our growing suite of values-led professional learning programmes: Flourishing Leaders, Flourishing Teachers, Flourishing ECTs (in partnership with UCL), and Leaders Like Us. These programmes are designed to support the flourishing of educators at every stage of their journey, with a strong emphasis on inclusion, vocation, and leadership development. You will oversee a dedicated team and work closely with internal colleagues, delivery partners, and national collaborators to ensure these programmes are impactful, inclusive, and sector-leading. This role requires a visionary and relational leader who can manage complexity, inspire excellence, and drive continuous improvement across the programmes.
Strategic Leadership and Quality Assurance
- Provide strategic oversight of the Flourishing Programmes, including 'Leaders Like Us', ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and the Church of England Vision for Education.
- Lead the development and implementation of robust quality assurance processes to ensure excellence in delivery and readiness for external evaluation.
- Use data, evaluation, and research to drive continuous improvement and innovation across all programmes.
Team Leadership and People Management
- Line manage team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
- Support the development of a high-performing team through coaching, mentoring, and clear performance expectations.
- Champion a values-led leadership culture that reflects the ethos of the National Society for Education and wider Church of England.
Programme Delivery and Operational Oversight
- Oversee the full participant journey across all Flourishing Programmes, including recruitment, onboarding, retention, and completion.
- Ensure effective systems and processes are in place to support delivery, including digital platforms, communications, and participant support.
- Ensure all contractual elements of the UCL partnership are met in a timely and accurate manner, including KPI reporting and compliance.
- Ensure Flourishing ECTE programme is ready for UCL monitoring, Ofsted or other external evaluations.
- Lead on the resolution of complex operational issues, including participant transfers, deferrals, and reasonable adjustments.
Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership Working
- Work closely with delivery partners, including UCL, and MAT/Diocesan networks, to ensure effective communication, training, and support.
- Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders across the education sector, including dioceses, MATs, and other national providers.
- Drive growth and programme engagement/recruitment across regional areas by developing strong, strategic relationships with schools, trusts, and diocesan networks.
- Represent the Flourishing Programmes on the national stage as an ambassador for our work, contributing to sector-wide conversations, networks, and events.
- Work collaboratively with the leadership team and the Partnerships and Engagement Team to strategically strengthen, streamline, and equip our Delivery Partner network - ensuring consistency across programmes, a unified voice and building capacity to drive increasing participant demand.
Collaborative Leadership
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Curriculum and Enablement and Head of NPQ Programmes as part of the Professional Learning Senior Leadership Team, reporting to the Head of Professional Learning.
- Contribute to the development of a holistic and coherent professional learning offer that reflects the organisation's values and meets the needs of leaders across the system.
- Ensure alignment and collaboration across all programme areas, supporting shared priorities, resource allocation, and cross-team innovation.

At Ada, the National College for Digital Skills, our mission is to educate and empower the next generation of diverse digital talent. We are a specialist Further Education college, where every 16-19 student takes Computer Science and all of our diverse Higher Level and Degree Apprentices work in skills shortage disciplines in innovative, blue-chip companies.
The digital skills gap is costing the UK economy an estimated £63 billion a year in lost GDP. Ada seeks to fill this skills gap by equipping young with the skills industry actually needs.
Ada was announced by the Prime Minister in December 2014; England’s first new FE College since 1993 and since then we’ve gone from strength to strength including a Good with Outstanding features in our first Ofsted Inspection.
16-19 Provision:
As of 2024, we have 187 16-19 students enrolled. Our most recent results are outstanding; 39% of A level results at A*- B and 74% achieving at least one Distinction or better in their externally assessed Computing BTEC. This makes us the best education institution in the country for this BTEC.
Degree Apprenticeships:
Across our London Victoria and Manchester Ancoats campus, we have 363 apprentices currently enrolled on our Higher and Degree Level Apprenticeships. We specialise in five disciplines at present: software development, data analytics, tech consultancy, cyber security and business analysis, working with a wide range of SMEs and corporate organisations such as PwC, Bank of America, Deloitte, Clearscore, Just Eat, Capita, MHRA, Booking,com and Salesforce.
At present 38% of our learners are female, 51% are from ethnic minority backgrounds and 50% come from low-income households compared to national averages of c. 20%.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Head of Adult Learning, Skills and Employment to join our Senior Management Team and lead one of our core service areas.
This is an exciting opportunity to oversee a wide-ranging, community-based service that supports local residents to develop skills, confidence and pathways into employment. Bringing together our Community Education & Training provision and Employment & Careers services, the role is responsible for ensuring a cohesive offer that supports hundreds of individuals each year from community learning through to work.
A core element of our provision is the delivery of high-quality adult learning, including functional skills (English, maths and ICT), ESOL, community wellbeing, family learning, pathways to employment and selected vocational courses. Our services are shaped by both community need and funding priorities and continue to evolve in response to local demand and emerging opportunities.
Employment support also forms an integral part of our wider offer, both through embedded progression support within Adult Education provision and through separately funded programmes for priority groups, including younger jobseekers (18–24) and older residents (50+). This requires a flexible and responsive approach to programme development, partnership working and service delivery.
Our current provision is primarily funded through Lambeth Adult Learning and the Greater London Authority, with a combined annual budget of approximately £750,000 per year. A significant focus of the role will be overseeing the successful delivery of these contracts and services, ensuring high-quality provision, strong performance and meaningful progression outcomes for residents.

Martin House has been caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions from West, North and East Yorkshire for more than 30 years. Every year we care for more than 550 families at our hospice in Boston Spa, in hospitals and in their own homes. We also support more than 200 bereaved families each year.
We have recently delivered THE BUILD, a £21.9m project to extend and completely refurbish the hospice. THE BUILD has seen the hospice create a new children’s wing, which opened last February, while work to fully refurbish and extend the existing building, with brand new facilities including a hydrotherapy pool, wellbeing suite, and education centre, is expected to be completed very shortly. We are now looking for a dynamic, imaginative and strategic Head of Mass Relationships to lead the next chapter of our journey. As Head of Mass Relationships, you will work with our Head of Major Relationships to lead the strategy that powers our core income , motivating thousands of supporters, developing unforgettable campaigns, and inspiring people across the region to stand with Martin House.
