The Fundraising Manager will lead and develop Thrive’s fundraising activity, with trusts and foundations at its core and a growing focus on community fundraising, events, and individual giving.
This role replaces our Trusts and Foundations Officer post and brings together grant fundraising, supporter development and team leadership into one coherent function.
You will line manage our Fundraising Administrator and support their development, including helping them begin to take on smaller grants and applications.
You will also work closely with the Head of Development and Communications to test and develop new income streams over time.
This is a hands-on role for a confident self-starter who understands community development and can translate impact into income.

Citizens UK has played a pioneering role in introducing and developing community sponsorship of refugees in the UK. In response to the Syrian refugee crisis in 2015, we campaigned successfully for the introduction of community sponsorship in the UK. Citizens UK was then instrumental in proving the model can work in the UK and through training, advocacy, and coordination, we have helped hundreds of local groups welcome thousands of refugee families. In 2022, Citizens UK expanded its work by launching the Communities for Ukraine programme, matching Ukrainian refugees with UK hosts and most recently has run Communities for Afghans, resettling dozens of refugees. Throughout, it has combined grassroots organising with national advocacy to build a sustainable, community-led model of refugee resettlement. In 2025, we campaigned successfully to persuade the Government to introduce ‘named sponsorship’, giving communities greater choice in who they would sponsor. This creates a huge opportunity to grow community sponsorship and to enable UK civil society to step up and honour our proud tradition of offering sanctuary.
Head of Community Sponsorship Role
This is a rare opportunity to lead Citizens UK’s community sponsorship campaign and help build the movement that will be at the heart of a community-led welcome.
This new role comes at an exciting and crucial time, as we seek to build and embed this new form of named community sponsorship in the UK. As Head of Community Sponsorship you will lead on our strategy to develop named sponsorship as a transformative part of the UK’s approach to refugee resettlement and community power. This will involve building a broad-base of civil society partners ready to sponsor refugees and to add their voice to the campaign. You will lead on the campaigning and advocacy strategy as we ensure quality in the Government policy and cross-Party political support. Citizens UK acts as the Lead Sponsor for local community sponsorship groups and you will oversee their ongoing support and further engagement.
The role foster collaboration with Citizens UK Organisers and alliances, develop sustainable funding strategies, and ensure alignment with Citizens UK’s broader migration and transformation goals. The role will work alongside Citizens UK’s Migrant and Refugee Organising Team and will contribute to the efforts to build the power to create a more welcoming country. You will lead on relationships with senior stakeholders, policy makers, and funders, and support the creation of campaigns and resources to expand public awareness and support for community sponsorship. With responsibilities spanning communications, and external representation, the role is key to shaping Citizens UK’s refugee resettlement strategy and building its national impact as a driver of cohesion.

The Fundraising Officer will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all fundraising activities and events. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to maximise donations and enhance donor relationships, in line with the Central London Samaritans' fundraising strategy. Responsibilities include engaging with individual donors, businesses, and community partners to secure financial support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the Head of Branch Operations and Branch Director: Identify specific programs and funding priorities and organise targeted fundraising campaigns and events.
- Plan and Coordinate Fundraising Events and Campaigns: Oversee the planning and coordination of fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives.
- Track and Process Pledges: Monitor, track, and process pledges made at events, ensuring records are regularly updated.
- Manage Online Donations: Oversee online donation activities, maintaining up-to-date records and ensuring relevant departments and donors are informed.
- Identify Funding Opportunities: Seek local and national funding opportunities and contribute to the development of the organisation's fundraising strategy.

Hours of work:
The basic hours are 21 hours per week spread over Three working days. Within these hours there may be need to work some evenings and weekend days, so flexibility is essential. The core responsibilities should be carried out during weekdays. The amount of out of hours work will be agreed on an ongoing basis.
Time off in lieu will be allowed in agreement with the Head of Branch Operations and in line with the staff handbook and the European Working Time Directive.

The post holder will be required to work within the rules and regulations of Samaritans and accept the authority of the Director and the Chair of the branch’s Board of Trustees, who have discretion to delegate authority to the post holder and to withdraw it.

Fundraising Manager (Community & Events)
We are looking for a Fundraising Manager (Community & Events) to join our Development Team in this hybrid working role. This is an exciting time to join the charity as we continue to grow our services and support even more disabled children, young people and their families across Scotland.
Position: Fundraising Manager (Community & Events)
Location: Hybrid working (minimum of two days per week from one of our centres in Edinburgh, Glasgow or Dundee)
Salary: In the region of £37,000 per annum

The Role
As Community & Events Fundraising Manager, you will play a vital role in generating the income needed to sustain and grow our services. You will lead and drive our community, events and individual fundraising activity across our sites in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee and Fife, keeping existing supporters engaged while inspiring new supporters to come on board.
Working as part of the Development Team and reporting to the Head of Fundraising, you will help deliver our ambitious fundraising strategy and contribute to the charity’s continued growth.
You will:
- Lead on the delivery and implementation of our community, events and individual funding streams to reach our income targets
- Proactively seek out new supporters, stewarding existing donor relationships and following up on prospects
- Secure and undertake speaking engagements to raise awareness and funds
- Lead by example; sharing your energy, knowledge, ideas and insights to inspire confidence and drive forward the development of our income streams
About You
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about engaging communities and inspiring supporters through events and fundraising activity.
You will have:
- Significant success in managing and growing income from community, events and/or individual fundraising
- At least four years’ experience working in a fundraising or equivalent role
- A strong understanding of supporter stewardship and donor journeys
- Experience of using CRM systems to manage relationships and income
Desirable:
- Experience of volunteering within a charitable organisation
- Knowledge of current fundraising and marketing trends, including the use of AI
- Copywriting experience for a range of audiences and channels

Our client is looking for an experienced and politically astute Head of Public Affairs, Media and Digital Communications to help shape their work, influence decision‑makers and strengthen the voice of working people across Wales.
Do you have experience in working in or with trade unions, political institutions, political parties or public affairs organisations, with a strong understanding of how political decisions are made?
Can you lead and develop a communications team, delivering high‑quality, timely and strategic outputs across press, digital and social media?
Do you have strong analytical skills and political judgement, with the confidence and ability to respond quickly to fast moving events and changing contexts?
Do you have knowledge and understanding of current key issues in Wales and the UK more broadly around employment, the economy, society, trade unionism and politics- and can you apply this insight into communications and public affairs work?

About the role
We are looking to hire a Senior Fundraising Events Coordinator within Restless Development’s UK Fundraising team. The fundraising team’s income has grown year on year and there is huge potential to continue to grow this further and create impact at scale.
The Senior Fundraising Events Coordinator will be primarily working on the Schools Triathlon programme and managing all PR & social media comms, and also supporting on both merchandise and sponsor management. The Schools Triathlon is the UK’s largest fundraising and sporting event for children aged 7-13. Its aim is to encourage more children into sport while also teaching them the importance of fundraising. Over the years, the events have raised over £3.4m for Restless Development and local charities and over 9,000 children have taken part. We are aiming to deliver 15 events in 2026 and significantly expand the series..

Key responsibilities
Deliver and event manage high-quality Schools Triathlon events in 2026 and beyond
- Throughout September to February, present assemblies for the Schools Triathlon to inspire school-age pupils to sign up and take part in the Schools Triathlon series, and motivate them to fundraise by delivering a fun and engaging presentation.
- Develop strong professional relationships with various important stakeholders from host schools throughout the year, in person and online; as well as with participating schools through the delivery of assemblies and in comms prior to the event day.
- Work with our event delivery partners to deliver 15 events throughout April, May and June 2026, ensuring that the event logistics, host school requirements, participant details are finalised and managing host school relations.
- Respond to enquiries from parents and guardians on our dedicated inbox and mobile phone when needed.
- Develop a good working relationship with the Triathlon Committee, made up of Restless Development staff and volunteers, while still keeping the appropriate members informed and bringing in support as and when needed.
- Update on relevant KPIs and income where needed

Schools Triathlon social media & PR
- Lead on all social media activity for the Schools Triathlon across our social media channels
- Lead on liaising with external PR and Host school stakeholders to deliver exceptional PR across the Schools Triathlon event series
- Lead on being the main contact for all Host School marketing teams, ensuring effective working relationships are in place and maintained to an excellent standard

About this role:
Reporting to the Head of Policy and Communications, the Policy and Communications Coordinator will support SIB’s track record of sector, government and media engagement, notably the high standard of publication set through its media partnerships with Tortoise and the Financial Times, its contributions to the policy landscape in the social sector, and its in-house data analysis and insight generation. This new post will contribute to SIB’s ongoing communications and public policy work and its reach and influence, building on a growing base of expertise across SIB’s three strategic priority areas: Green Transition, Infrastructure and Services.
Key responsibilities
1. Support the Head of Policy and Communications to deliver the Policy and Communications strategy for SIB.
2. Making use of media and parliamentary tracking software keep abreast of SIB’s strategic policy areas, sharing accessible updates and digests of relevant legislation and central and local government programming and media coverage.
3. Attend / watch online relevant parliamentary committees, All Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs) and Commons and Lords sessions, capturing relevant outcomes and identifying MPs and Lords that SIB should seek to work with / influence.
4. Support the Head of Policy and Communications to identify a key parliamentary contacts list. Create tailored communications for these key contacts which share relevant statistics and case studies from SIB’s portfolio, alongside policy influencing lines. This will include drafting questions and briefings where relevant, and ensuring that regular contact is maintained.
5. Support the drafting of consultation responses and press releases using SIB’s core messaging, reporting, research and data.
6. Support SIB’s annual party conference attendance with coordination and administration in advance and in person.
7. Support the Head of Policy and Communications with attendance at influencing meetings and webinars with, for example, the Association of Decentralised Energy, Community Energy England, Locality, Better Society Capital, the Access Foundation and others.
8. Draft internal and external copy for newsletters and the SIB intranet and website.
9. Monitor the press email address and support correspondence with journalists on reactive and proactive stories.
10. Attend and provide oversight to the Social Investment Forum, as part of SIB’s secretariat and hosting.

About the Role
The Partnerships & Philanthropy Manager will lead all fundraising activity, including stakeholder partnerships and grant/trust income, overseeing a six figure annual income portfolio. Supporting the CEO
- Assist and support the CEO in the fulfilment of his/her responsibilities, including (but not limited to):

The Opportunity
As a key team member within our Partnerships and Income Development team, you will play a vital role in supporting the management and growth of our corporate partnerships, with a focus on partnerships that enable and enhance our Aspiring Professionals Programme.
1. Account Management:

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify, research and secure high-value corporate partnerships to generate significant income. This role focuses on developing partnerships with national organisations across the UK, not solely London-based corporates.
- Develop tailored proposals and sponsorship packages for large corporate organisations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, ensuring excellent stewardship and long-term engagement.
- Represent HELP Appeal at networking events, meetings, and presentations to cultivate new opportunities.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the fundraising function and marketing/events teams to deliver partnership benefits and maximise impact.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and produce regular reports on progress against targets.
