This is an exciting role within the Army Cadet Adventurous Training team responsible for ensuring all support elements are in place to facilitate the AT service for the Army Cadets and Combined Cadet Force.

We are looking for a training professional to bring their skills, enthusiasm, and personal credibility to the team to assist with strategic planning, budget management and HR matters. You will line manage the CCAT Facilities and Logistics Officers.

In conjunction with the CCAT Training Officer you will support the Centre Managers with planning and delivery of courses and expeditions.

From time to time, you will be required to deputise for the Head of AT or the Centre Managers which may involve travel throughout the UK and overseas, working some evenings, bank holidays and weekends.

Essential Skills

· Good level of general education (English, Maths and IT).

· Hold a level 3 qualification in leadership and management.

· UK driving licence (Cat B).

· Experience of managing a small team.

· Exceptional IT skills and extensive use of MS365.

· Experience of organising events, working with internal and external partners.

Terms

The role is a full-time (five days per week) on an 18-month fixed-term. The annual salary is £42,193 per annum less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance.

Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work 40% of their working hours from the London office and the rest of the week from home. Volunteer Centre Hackney is a thriving charity (annual income circa £1.1m, with 29 paid staff) providing volunteering infrastructure to the voluntary sector across the City of London and the London borough of Hackney. We support over 1500 residents a year to realise their skills and passions through volunteering and social action, and to share these for the benefit of others. We also provide volunteering resource, and advice and guidance on best practice in volunteer management, to hundreds of charities and community organisations.

Through our specialist programmes, our impact on the lives of residents is huge. We match volunteers to housebound residents to help them engage with communities and leave their homes; we provide long term personalised support to people with mental health conditions and learning disabilities to help them volunteer and find paid jobs; we support patients to deliver hundreds of their own activities and peer support groups at GP practices across City and Hackney; and in partnership with Public Health, we support over 250 Community Health Champions to share vital health messaging with their own diverse communities.  

This is a hands-on and strategic role for an experienced fundraiser who thrives in a small to medium sized charity environment. You will have autonomy to develop a whole new fundraising strategy, utilise diverse fundraising methods, and build and develop new project ideas and partnerships. You will lead on income generation primarily through sourcing and applying to trusts and foundations, and with the potential to build new corporate partnerships, community campaigns and individual giving. You will build authentic relationships with funders and supporters, and together with VCH colleagues, will identify new programme models as ways to generate income. Post holders need to have excellent communication skills, to represent the charity in writing and in person. The Senior Evidence & Evaluation Manager will sit within the Impact & Evidence directorate at the heart of Youth Futures Foundation.

Working with three Heads of Evaluation, the Deputy Director and the Director, you will help ensure our evaluations are designed to generate credible evidence of what works.

You will:

• lead the design, commissioning and management of impact evaluations, including RCTs and QEDs. This will include feasibility or developmental work where interventions are not yet ready for full impact evaluation.

• work closely with independent evaluators and delivery partners and colleagues in our Programmes & Grants and Policy & Communications directorates to assess the evaluability of interventions, and lead the design and delivery of large-scale, complex impact evaluations.

• contribute to strengthening our ‘evaluation architecture’, leading projects that enhance data infrastructure and access to administrative datasets, and set standards for methodological rigour in the sector.

In addition, you will lead other aspects of the team’s commissioning. This may include developing policies and processes, supporting the Heads of Evaluation to strengthen commissioning practice.

This role can be based at our Birmingham, Leeds or London hub. We currently operate a hybrid model of two-days per week in the office and three-days from home.

There is a robust pipeline in place, and huge scope to look beyond the pipeline and work with the service delivery teams to identify new funding opportunities. This role will focus on larger funding bids, and exploring the potential for funding for Sight Scotland Veterans. The role supports the organisation’s purpose to make a significant impact on the lives of people living with visual impairment in Scotland by maximising fundraising income to deliver brilliant services and create a positive impact on our ability to deliver for the long term. 

This specialist manager role would suit someone who is already operating at a senior trust fundraiser level, or someone who can demonstrate experience of developing a trust and grants pipeline, creating compelling applications and directly delivering income success.This role will line manage a Trusts Fundraiser (a brand-new post to Sight Scotland), so this could be the ideal opportunity for someone looking to take on people management for the first time.

The Pepper Foundation is a local charity funding children’s hospice care at home, specialised play and family days for children living with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. 

The Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser will be joining Pepper at an exciting time as we launch our new three-year fundraising strategy. Backed by committed investment and with full Board approval, we are delighted to be growing the charity to deliver sustainable income that directly supports local children and families with hospice care in the comfort of their own homes.

Working closely with the Head of Trusts & Foundations, you will play a pivotal role in increasing income from trusts and foundations by developing and managing a strong pipeline of funders, securing new grants, and building long-term relationships that lead to increased and multi-year support. You will research and prepare compelling applications to both new and existing funders, alongside producing timely, engaging reports that clearly demonstrate impact.

This role requires a highly organised and motivated individual with a passion for writing, strong attention to detail, and the ability to deliver exceptional cultivation, stewardship and relationship management of trusts and foundations aligned with our mission.

Your work will directly support hospice at home care, specialist play services, and meaningful family days out for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions – making a tangible difference to families during the most difficult of times.

Hours: 22.5 hours per week working from home – applicants must live within Hertfordshire or Buckinghamshire (or surrounding counties)

Salary: £19,800 per annum for 22.5 hours per week (£33,000 FTE per annum)

Key requirements:

• Work with the Head of Trusts & Foundations to agreed income targets and growth.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of small and medium trusts and foundations (giving up to £10,000).
• Produce high-quality, tailored applications to prospective funders aligned with agreed criteria.
• Prepare meaningful update reports, demonstrating the impact of a funder’s support, whilst ensuring all reporting requirements and deadlines are met.
• Deliver excellent relationship management and stewardship through regular reporting and tailored communications.
• Conduct prospect research to identify and prioritise new trust funding opportunities aligned with The Pepper Foundation’s work.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all communications on the Donorfy CRM database whilst keeping abreast of GDPR.
• Stay up to date with current trends in trust fundraising.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including the Fundraising Regulator Code of Practice, and internal Safeguarding Policies.
• Represent The Pepper Foundation at events as required.

Are you detail‑oriented, proactive, and passionate about supporting the financial operations behind a mission‑driven organisation? The Finance Officer is a key operational role within the Finance Team, responsible for the day-to-day finance functions, ensuring accurate financial records and robust financial controls. 

Working closely with the Head of Finance, the Finance Officer will support with month-end processes and operational finance for events. The role will also support the Head of Finance on budgets and forecasting. 

Roles and Responsibilities 

Routine Financial Oversight 

• Oversee the accurate recording, processing and coding of all financial transactions, including income, expenditure and journals 
• Perform bank and petty cash reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations and key control accounts 
• Maintain accruals / prepayments / deferred income /accrued income schedules 
• Maintain oversight of the fixed asset register and depreciation. 
• Responsible for month end up to extended trial balance 
• Monitor day-to-day financial operations including bank accounts and payment processes. 
• Oversee revenue recognition directing for complex contracts / grants 
• Ensure strong financial controls are maintained and adhered to 

Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Management

• Support budget holders with understanding financial performance, variances and reforecasting. 
• Assist with rolling forecasts and cashflow projections. 

Payroll & HR Finance Administration

• Run the payroll including: payroll preparation (Xero), HMRC (EPS/FPS) and pension data submission 
• Prepare payroll journals and staff cost reconciliations. 
• Act as first point of contact for payroll queries, escalating complex issues where appropriate. 

Compliance & Year-End Support

• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of:
• VAT returns (quarterly in Xero) 
• Gift Aid claims (monthly in Churchsuite) 
• Support external audit processes as required. 

Event & Conference Finance Management

• Manage operational finance processes for New Wine conferences and events, including:
• Pre-event financial setup and controls 
• On-site cash, card income and banking processes 
• Oversight of finance volunteers on site 
• Ensure timely post-event reconciliation of income and reporting. 
• Liaise with event leaders regarding budgets and financial performance. 
• Support day-to-day finance requirements while on site. 

Systems, Process Improvement & Controls

• Maintain and improve finance processes and documentation. 
• Ensure effective use of finance systems 
• Work closely with the Head of Finance on continuous improvement initiatives. 

Other Duties

• Respond to finance queries from budget holders 
• Work well with all members of the wider staff team. 
• Attend and sometimes participate in staff prayers and meetings. 
• Undertake other duties as reasonably required within the scope of the role.

About the role

The focus of the role will be on writing grant applications and competitive tenders to generate new income streams for the charity. These new income streams will allow us to move away from our reliance on core funding enabling us to follow our strategic plans and diversify where necessary to support more survivors.

This role will work closely with the Service Managers to identify funding opportunities which match our capacity for delivery.

The Bid Writer will develop and maintain networks and beneficial working relationships to raise the profile of Staying Put.

The role will involve analysing and researching information from various sources and then presenting these in a cohesive and persuasive way for the required audience. Writing reports and analysis for SLT will be required as part of this role.

Part-time, 18.75 hours per week, over 3 days. £32,900 FTE per annum.

About you

Educated to degree level, our ideal candidate will have excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce effective grant applications tailoring the content depending on the audience. We are looking for someone with significant experience in a similar bid writing role who can demonstrate success in meeting challenging financial targets. Knowledge of domestic abuse and sexual violence, the impact it has on victims and issues they face, would be an advantage.

You will need to be a self-starter with a professional attitude. Our ideal candidate will be able to problem solve in dynamic situations and have a creative approach to income generation.

CUF wants to build flourishing communities and tackle poverty, by partnering with churches and groups all over England, and we are looking for a Philanthropy Manager to shape and grow a major gifts programme which has been identified as a key opportunity for growth. We’re seeking a motivated self-starter, with a track record of initiating, managing and developing relationships with high net worth individuals and grantmaking bodies, and securing 5 figure donations and grants.

You will find, and nurture relationships with, philanthropists and non-statutory grant-makers. Some of these will be existing donors, and warm prospects, and others you will identify by research (we’ll provide some administrative help). You’ll also engage with Trustees, and senior staff, to identify and nurture Christian philanthropists and grant body decision-makers within their spheres of influence.

You’ll develop cases for support and write funding applications (helped by the wider staff team) and will build a robust income pipeline based on relational asks, including in person. Stewardship is key, so we want a skilled communicator with great organisational skills. You’ll have a passion for local social action, and will thrive in our collaborative team culture.

Legacy Case Officer

Salary: £30,255 - £37,732 per annum
Location: Remote (with occasional travel to Downton, Salisbury, SP5 3RB and other UK locations as needed)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Legacy Case Officer to join our Legacy team at Help for Heroes. You’ll be playing a vital role in our legacy fundraising, taking responsibility for a wide variety of legacy cases, and ensuring we receive funds to support veterans and their families to live well after service.

About the Role

Legacies are key to our work at Help for Heroes. It is thanks to our generous supporters that we can continue providing practical help and hope to veterans and families across the UK. We wouldn’t be able to continue without them.

The Legacy Case Officer is key in ensuring we will receive these gifts. The role has responsibility for almost half of our legacy income, covering a significant number of non-contentious residuary, specific and life interest cases.

It involves a high degree of autonomy as you will help protect the charity’s income and reputation through sensitive case management, and acting within the limits delegated. You will be supported throughout by your colleagues and manager, with additional learning & development available.

This role is remote to ensure we can recruit the best candidate, but with an expectation to be able to travel occasionally to our Head Office  or London for meetings

About You

You have first-hand experience of dealing in legacy administration, capable of dealing with a variety of charitable gifts and matters. It is not essential to have knowledge of resolving contentious cases, but you are able to identify which may require additional support.

You will be experienced in Charity Legacy Administration with a ILM qualification (CiCLA or Diploma) or relevant experience from the charity or legal sector.

As an individual:

• You are confident and able to work autonomously
• You are empathetic and sensitive when helping bereaved families
• You have strong attention to detail
• You are great at prioritisation and time management
• And you are passionate about legacy fundraising

You are also willing and able to travel as required for meetings, training or other, including to Downton (SP5 3RB) or London, with occasional travel to other UK locations. You are welcome to ask for further information during the interview stage.

You are also comfortable staying away from home overnight on occasion, when required to support events or team activities.
