Role Requirements

• Support planning and changes in the administration of children and young people’s timetable for children and family services.
• Support with photocopying of notes for subject access/ solicitor requests (SARS).
• Manage the SARS and redacting process with appropriate members of the Therapies teams.
• Update logs and coordinate the Clinical and Safeguarding Supervision across the Therapies teams, escalating non-compliance where required.
• Monitor mandatory training compliance and administer booking processes for all relevant training sessions/course.
• Coordinating specialist clinics, including spine and hip clinics; liaising with the Physiotherapy team to ensure the correct children are on the schedule. Liaison with external Consultants to organise the clinic lists.
• Carry out audiotyping of clinic letters and distribute as required.
• Update absences within the teams onto the SMI (staff care) system, as requested by the Heads of Service.
• Place orders for any required equipment and/or resources for departments and for the children and young people as deemed necessary.
• Take overview of clinical asset ordering, linking with the clinical assets team and management system, in line with MHRA guidelines and the medical devices policy.
• Track and monitor equipment orders with Heads of service, escalate delays and provide a central overview for all equipment re-charges and ordering.
• Raise and receipt PO’s and invoices for the therapies directorate and liaise closely with the finance team.
• Undertake other or additional duties that are within your skills and abilities, as the organisation may reasonably require from time to time.

With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.

Rising Sun Domestic Violence and Abuse Service (the Rising Sun) is an independent charity in Kent working to prevent domestic abuse and improve the lives of survivors and their children suffering from its effects. We have an ambitious vision for a world in which women and children live free from actual or threatened domestic abuse and all forms of violence.

Our team provide a range of services to adults and children who’ve experienced domestic abuse. We understand the impact of domestic abuse on survivors and so we listen to individual needs and respond in a trauma informed way. We provide one-to-one support and also deliver therapeutically informed group programmes to help survivors to recognise healthy/unhealthy behaviours in relationships and to understand the impact of domestic abuse. Bringing survivors together validates experiences and enables them to draw strength from one another.

We are looking for a creative and proactive individual who has experience of supporting survivors of domestic abuse. Working with survivors of domestic abuse as an outreach worker, you will play a crucial role in advocacy, risk assessment, safety planning and empowerment.

You will be contributing to the invaluable work of the Rising Sun and making a lasting difference to the lives of those who are impacted by domestic abuse.

JOB PURPOSE

• To provide practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse, including crisis intervention, risk assessment and safety planning.
• To develop individual support plans, which address the risk of harm and offer information, advocacy, advice and signposting to survivors, underpinned by individual risk and need.
• To empower survivors, thereby increasing self- esteem, reducing isolation and helping survivors to keep safe.
• To provide survivors with information relating to their rights and ensuring survivors are empowered to make decisions based on their options.
• To work in collaboration with the adult team and wider Rising Sun team to support other programmes delivered within the organisation.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Service delivery

• Work as part of a team providing high quality support, advice, advocacy and information to survivors of domestic abuse.
• Manage a caseload in accordance with organisational policies and procedures and adhere to confidentiality.
• Work in a needs led way with a specific focus on a trauma informed approach, which recognises domestic abuse and its impact.
• Work holistically with survivors, recognising individual needs, and help survivors to recognise and build on their strengths and abilities to build self-esteem and resilience.
• Offer support face to face or remotely, via phone or video call, depending on the needs of the survivor and current guidance around social distancing.
• Attend regular supervision and appraisals with line-manager.
• Work effectively in partnership with other agencies and refer on appropriately, dependant on need and risk. This may include referral to specialist agencies, to other specialist DVA services or other external processes (for example MARAC).
• Assess risk to individuals on a regular basis using the DASH risk indicator checklist.
• Work with survivors to develop tailored support plans with a focus on reducing the risk of harm, increasing their personal safety (and that of any children) and responding to their individual needs.
• Support survivors to be able to identify and manage the risks to themselves and their children
• Provide information to survivors in relation to their options, including guidance in relation to their housing, legal and welfare rights and advocate on their behalf as required.
• Encourage service users’ participation in service development, continuous improvement and feedback exercised.
• Represent the Rising Sun at relevant community meetings and forums.
• Support Rising Sun’s community services including our One Stop Shop drop in service and group programmes.
• Maintain up to date and accurate records and ensure, reports and evaluations are completed as required.
• Work as part of a team, supporting colleagues and building positive working-relationships with team members.
• Contribute to wider team meetings and discussions to share learning and feed into organisational developments.
• Be willing and available to work some evenings and weekends as required to support wider team activities such as representing Rising Sun at events (time off in lieu can be taken by arrangement with your line manager).

Knowledge and Qualifications

• An accredited VAWG/domestic abuse qualification, e.g. IDVA / DAPA (Desirable).
• Good understanding of the impact of domestic violence and trauma on survivors, children and young people, families and communities. 
• Knowledge of issues affecting survivors, and an understanding of the barriers they may face in accessing support.
• Thorough knowledge of safeguarding practice, procedures and legislation.
• Good understanding of the operation of the agencies working together to support survivors such as social services, police etc.

Experience

• Experience of working with survivors affected by domestic and sexual abuse.
• Experience of managing own case load, working under pressure and prioritising workload.

This is a full-time role which requires an experienced administrator with CRM experience (Raiser’s Edge) to work closely with the Head of Individual Giving, along with supporting the wider fundraising team.

The Supporter Care Administrator will:

• be responsible for the administration of voluntary income and volunteer administration, ensuring donations are efficiently and accurately identified, recorded and acknowledged, and for the day-to-day management of the volunteer database.
• have the ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• have good organizational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
• be professional and a hard-working team player who can remain calm under pressure.
• have excellent written, communication and IT skills along with experience of CRM databases.
• be the lead contact for the coordination of some database projects for the fundraising operation, such as the administration of gift aid claims and coordinating data relating to appeals or volunteers.

The Role

This role involves enhancing relationships with current donors, partnerships with new businesses, and playing a critical role in our Fundraising & Trading Department. You will be instrumental in managing income streams projected to raise £150,000 this year, with ambitions for future growth. Your role will also encompass being a prominent figure in the community, delivering fundraising talks, attending networking events and being an advocate for Bath Cats and Dogs Home.

You are a dynamic individual with a successful track record in corporate fundraising, capable of securing significant income through corporate and community events. Your skills include:

• Salary: £28,000 - £31,500, dependent on experience

 Purpose of the job:

 This newly created HR Officer position will support the Head of HR in a busy HR function potential for a busy charity. The role will concentrate on the operational and administrative aspects of HR and will also act as a first line support to staff but will also provide administrative support to the Operations Manager.  There will also be an opportunity for the HR Officer to get involved in project and research work.

This a part-time role of three days which can be worked in number of ways with either three full days or with less hours across four days, but you will be required to work at least two days in the office. 

 Main duties and responsibilities:

· Be the first point of contact for general HR queries

· Oversee the HR and recruitment inbox

· Drafting contracts and offer letters

· Produce and place job adverts

· Coordinate and arrange interviews and book meeting rooms

· Manage onboarding documentation for new joiners

· Manage both incoming and outgoing reference requests

· Manage the DBS checks and Safeguarding training systems

· Conduct right to work checks prior to employment

· Work with the Head of HR to ensure HR policies are updated when required

· Updating the Thames21 Org Chart

· Communicate any employment law updates

· Carry out research and other projects as required by the Head of HR

· Manage and maintain the HRIS (Breathe HR)

· Manage and maintain HR files on SharePoint

· Research, source and book training for staff as and when required

· Support the Operations Manager with any Health & Safety administrative tasks as required

As Fundraising Executive, you will be responsible for ensuring our supporters receive a positive and rewarding experience, as well as providing administration support for the fundraising team, including assisting on events and campaigns.

We are looking for a motivated, confident individual with strong organisational skills and an impeccable attention to detail, who is passionate about fundraising and our ambition and purpose. The successful applicant will be expected to have a broad understanding of a range of income generation methods and communication styles, and the charity sector.

You will play a key role in attracting, building and managing relationships with a range of supporters including individual donors and fundraisers, community groups, local businesses, and volunteers. From initial enquiries to fundraisers and doners, to taking responsibility for our thanking, you will look after our complete supporter care journey and ensure that the Foundation provides an exceptional experience for our supporters.

You will develop key relationships within the Foundation and Club, providing support to the rest of the Fundraising and Engagement Team as required. Some weekend and evening working will be required as part of the role. Previous experience is desirable, not essential, and the right candidate will be given scope for career progression and additional responsibilities as we grow. 

Key responsibilities 

• Act as main point of contact for supporters and donors, responding to enquiries in a timely manner
• Provide fundraising support to those raising money for the Foundation, including challenge event participants, schools, clubs, and community fundraisers
• Assist in the delivery of matchday activity for the Foundation, primarily through our 50/50 Raffle and other activations that raise funds and awareness of our purpose
• Support the Events Manager and Head of Fundraising and Engagement in the delivery of Foundation events
• Support our growing portfolio of challenge events, researching opportunities for the Foundation supporters to raise funds, and delivering exceptional supporter care to ensure we maximise these opportunities and build relationships with our fundraisers
• Assist the Head of Fundraising and Engagement in the development and delivery of a community fundraising programme
• Maintain and update donor records on our fundraising database
• Manage the administration and fulfilment of auction and other fundraising prizes, being the main point of contact for donors and relevant partners and ambassadors
• Cultivate and maintain excellent working relationships with key stakeholders, including but not limited to Harlequin FC, their partners and sponsors, regular individual givers and high-net worth donors, community fundraisers, local schools and clubs
• Represent the Foundation both internally and externally, acting as an ambassador for the Foundation and advocating for our work 

Person specification

Qualification and experience

• Educated to degree level or demonstrable equivalent experience
• A minimum of two years’ experience in a professional environment in a similar, admin or events-based role
• Excellent user of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience of CRM systems and project management tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to evidence experience of building excellent relationships and a confidence in networking and proactively communication with a range of stakeholders
• Experience of working with data and administrative tasks Desirable
• Experience of working in a similar fundraising executive/supporter care role (desirable)
• Experience of working with high-net-worth individuals or celebrities would be an advantage

Skills, abilities and knowledge

• Highly organised with excellent planning and coordination skills and a meticulous attention to detail
• Strong communications skills and decision-making capabilities
• Good financial literacy and confidence in working with data
• Excellent supporter care skills, with the ability to differentiate your communication to meet the needs of the audience and a willingness to go above and beyond to deliver exceptional experiences
• Knowledge of fundraising and understanding of different income generation methods with the charity sector
• Ability to keep calm under pressure and maintain a clear head, anticipating risks and solving problems
• Experience in managing a diverse workload with multiple deadlines and to be able to prioritise when needed
• Hands on, with a willingness to get stuck in and support the delivery of our work
• A commitment to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults

THE ROLE

As the Corporate Fundraiser at Zoe’s Place Liverpool, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our mission by contributing to the delivery of our overall income generation strategy.

Knowsley Carers Centre, a network partner of the Carers Trust, is a registered charity providing information, support, advice, and a voice for carers living and caring in the Borough of Knowsley.

Knowsley Carers Centre is a growing charity, established in ~October 1997 to support the borough's 16000 unpaid/family carers.

A highly motivated and experienced person is required to raise awareness of the issues unpaid carers face with staff from the health and social care sectors.

Proven experience of the sector and an understanding of unpaid carers’ issues are essential along with the ability to work independently.

Job purpose

The purpose of the role is to raise awareness of the issues carers and young carers face and the services available to support them to health and social care staff across the borough and promote the identification and support of hidden carers in Knowsley.

The Health Link Worker will provide a conduit between Knowsley Carers Centre, health and social care teams and appropriate networks and forums that support carers’ interests.

The Health Link Worker will:

• Provide information for and about carers and young carers to GP practices and health and social care teams.
• Assist in maintaining carers’ information boards in GP practices and at other health and social care locations.
• Continue to promote good practice guidance and steer relevant personnel at GP practices and other health settings through the guidance framework.
• Provide presentations, training and talks to health and social care staff on carers needs and include all aspects of caring within the awareness raising.
• Raise carer awareness in hospitals and develop carer friendly processes.
• Encourage carer participation on forums, groups and boards.
• Network with relevant organisations to raise awareness of carers issues.
• Assist in the delivery of carer awareness training in partnership with other members of the team.
• Work closely with other organisations such as Healthwatch.
