About the role
The role is to lead the work of Healthwatch Kensington & Chelsea, working with a small skilled staff team and a range of volunteers and other community stakeholders. In particular, you will share our commitment to embed user engagement and community development at the heart of the Healthwatch service model, empowering user voices and improving access to health services.
You’ll have an opportunity to develop the service in line with our ambitious vision. This will include leading on the planning and delivery of targeted projects, supporting a diverse and varied engagement programme, and building relationships with a range of strategic partners. The Healthwatch Manager (Kensington & Chelsea) also takes the lead on managing our local Advisory Board. You will work closely with the Healthwatch teams in Westminster and Brent.
Key responsibilities
Ensure Healthwatch Kensington & Chelsea’s work conforms to all required principles, objectives and statutory obligations, and meets all contractual requirements between The Advocacy Project and Brent Council.
Manage and motivate a small staff team to deliver an effective and vibrant local Healthwatch.
Provide leadership to make sure the patient and public voice is heard across health, social care, children’s and other sectors in a continuously changing external environment.
Support the effective working of the Healthwatch Kensington & Chelsea Advisory Board.
Ensure local communities are able to participate fully in our work, particularly those that are least likely to have had their voices listened to. Support these communities in influencing local and national policy.
Represent Healthwatch Kensington & Chelsea at strategic governance and external meetings with key stakeholders, liaising with nominated Board leads regularly.
Develop the service to respond to emerging trends and needs, keeping abreast of Healthwatch England best practice to continually enhance the quality of the service.
Monitor the service to make sure it delivers to time, budget and quality; provide reports evidencing this to key stakeholders, including local commissioners, Healthwatch Advisory Board, the Bi-borough Health and Wellbeing Board and Healthwatch England.
Develop effective partnerships with key staff in health and social care services.
Work with the communications and engagement lead to make sure all relevant internal and external stakeholders receive relevant, timely and up-to-date communication about all Healthwatch projects.
Work with the Healthwatch Service Manager and Head of Business Development to identify opportunities for funding additional work which will add value to our Healthwatch services.

About the role
The Inclusive Climate Researcher is being recruited to support delivery on this growing portfolio of research and consultancy focussing on inclusive approaches to climate action, adaptation, mitigation and resilience. This work is closely aligned with GDI Hub’s work on inclusive cities and infrastructure, so an understanding of the intersection of climate, disability inclusion and accessibility in cities is important, and the post holder will likely work closely with inclusive design colleagues.
Initially, the role will primarily support a new project integrating disability inclusion in low carbon futures through research, training and technical assistance.
Role overview
This role will suit someone with research experience that is also looking to engage in practical work and drive impact.
The role will require knowledge of disability innovation and inclusive design in the context of climate change, including an appreciation of disability in the context of wider social inclusion and climate adaptation/mitigation. While the post holder will be able to work with subject matter experts, the ability to work across these diverse domains is essential. Good communication skills are vital as training and communicating knowledge to diverse audiences is a key part of this role.
The researcher will undertake research under the supervision and guidance of the project lead (GDI Hub’s Head of Research and Delivery). Experience in and a passion for inclusive approaches to research with diverse user groups is key to this role. Corporate partnerships are critical to delivering our mission and ensuring we can support as many children and young people facing disadvantage to open doors to their future. The Philanthropy Team as a whole has a combined target income for the current year (2023-24) of £1.83 million (growing to £2.35m as our target for next year) of which approximately £850k is from corporate donors and their foundations. We have been successful year on year in increasing our fundraising base by building secure multi-year partnerships. Part of our growth strategy is looking at building stronger relationships with corporate partners, having established a strong multi-year relationship for the first time this year worth £500k annually. We’re looking for a Corporate Partnerships Manager to lead on our corporate partnership activities and initiatives, including growing income from corporate partners as well as increasing the number of corporate volunteer tutor applications we receive from them. Working within our Philanthropy Team, the Corporate Partnerships Manager will be responsible for the line-management and development of two Corporate Partnership Coordinators, ensuring that, as a team, you meet your corporate income and volunteer application targets. Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, the Senior Finance Business Partner will play a critical role in supporting ODI's strategic decision-making and financial management processes. The post holder will lead on partnering with programme managers to provide insights, analysis, and advice on financial performance and strategic opportunities.
The Senior Finance Business Partner will work closely with a Finance Business Partner in supporting half of ODI’s programmes. The other half of programmes will be supported by another Senior Finance Business Partner and Finance Business Partner pairing.
The Senior Finance Business Partner will deputise for the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis when needed.

The UCEA Research team has an influential role in activities related to reward and labour markets, which informs the multi-employer pay negotiations in Higher Education. Working with the Head of Reward and Research and the wider team you will contribute to UCEA’s research strategy on employment matters and maintain our reputation for high-quality research, information and guidance on pay and employment matters in Higher Education.
As the Research Analyst you will support the provision and development of UCEA’s pay and workforce benchmarking services and a range of wider employment-related projects. You will have the opportunity to conduct in-depth quantitative and qualitative research, to communicate your findings to members and wider stakeholders. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to keep abreast of issues affecting the full range of employers across the HE sector.
You will communicate complex information clearly, both in writing and verbally. You will analyse sector data, e.g. Higher Education Statics Agency and ONS, and build and maintain benchmarking dashboards. This requires current intermediate level R skills, or clear aptitude for learning R to intermediate level, and intermediate or advanced Excel. Experience of using survey software to collect, analyse and report on bespoke quantitative surveys is essential.

- Act as liaison and first point of contact for commercial enquiries into the NFCC and dealing with them as appropriate. Enquiries may be from within the organisation, other fire and rescue services or elsewhere.
- To create and assist in the drafting of timely and well-informed reports, business cases and provide advice regarding commercial developments.
- Develop an effective network with Fire and Rescue Service sector groups and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain management processes and systems that provide for clear and understandable management information.

The Finance Director will sit alongside the Operations Director and report into the CEO. Standing Voice is looking for an experienced Fundraising Manager based in or near London to join our UK team. This is an exciting and challenging role in a creative and focused working environment, within an organisation with multiple programmes and funding streams across 3 countries. This position suits an ambitious and experienced fundraiser, equipped with excellent written and oral communication skills and a depth of donor management experience.
The successful candidate will report to the Executive Director and be tasked with advancing & implementing Standing Voice’s Fundraising Strategy including writing grants proposals; diversifying & scaling-up the organisation’s income streams; and managing donor relations and reporting. As well as working alongside UK fundraising, programmes and finance colleagues, the Fundraising Manager will work directly with our teams in Tanzania and Malawi to design and generate project proposals.

The Individual Giving Fundraiser will play a vital role in increasing income from our existing supporters. The role will also support the Head of Income in the delivery of a legacy and major donor program.
You will develop and deliver excellent stewardship programmes that drive retention by deepening audience understanding of the challenges that people affected by cleft face and the impact that their donations make. As Finance Business Partner, you were regularly advise Communications and Fundraising leaders and senior leadership to inform decision making and maximise fundraising income and support in key decisions on how it is spent. You will develop a systematic forecasting process for the directorate and ensure robust 3 year income and expenditure plans are implemented as well as producing multiple year income and expenditure budgets to tie into the charities multi-year operational plan and strategy. - Work with Communications and Fundraising department heads to produce their multiple year income and expenditure budgets
- Evaluate performance against plans and apply business insight to enable fundraising strategies to be delivered successfully.
