We are looking for a Learning and Development Practitioner (Volunteering) to join our People and Organisation Development directorate and drive implementation of the RBL Learning Programme, with specific responsibility for Volunteer training.

Reporting to our Head of Learning and Development and managing a small team, this newly created position will see you proactively engaging and partnering with a range of directorates and services across the RBL group to ensure smooth operation of L&D activities. This will include leading on the development and delivery of volunteer management development initiatives.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Create, develop and deliver content for learning interventions for delivery as part of the RBL L&D Programme catering for both virtual, in-person and blended approaches
- Partner and immerse yourself with the People Business Partners and key stakeholders across the organisation to understand priorities and challenges, and to conduct regular learning needs analysis for directorates and teams, making recommendations for solutions
- Partner with the Volunteer Development and Training Manager to identify appropriate solutions, practices, and learning interventions to support Volunteer strategies
- Design, enhance and deliver the Excellence in Volunteer Management Programme, upskilling RBL staff to support volunteers through blended learning solutions
- Ensure that diversity and inclusion are central throughout the learning experience, collaborating with the Head of Diversity and Inclusion
- Support the Head of L&D with on the implementation of an evaluation process based around the Kirkpatrick Model to assess the effectiveness of learning interventions
- Manage and work collaboratively with the L&D Specialist and L&D Coordinator to ensure all L&D activities operate effectively with robust end to end administration processes that are fit for purpose

About the role:

We are seeking a new Head of Business and Operations to play a crucial role in supporting the Head to review and drive continuous improvement.

The key responsibilities in the role will include:

1. Finances: You will oversee and manage all finances and a multi million pound budget for the school.
2. Human Resources: This will include leading on people strategy, workforce planning and performance management including evaluating the schools operational model.
3. Systems and Processes: One of the immediate priorities for this role will be to evaluate systems and processes (for monitoring areas outlined in the job description) and seek ways to streamline these with innovative solutions.

This role does involve line management of two assistant operations managers as well as other office and facilities staff within the school.

Role Purpose

The Head of Research and Delivery will lead the delivery of programmes, client-facing projects and research initiatives for GDI Hub CIC, working across the key themes of Disability Inclusion, Inclusive Design and Cities, Climate Change, Gender, Financial Inclusion and Assistive Technology. It is expected that the role holder will have considerable experience across at least two of these themes and an appetite for both broadening and deepening their knowledge across the others. They will also collaborate with research leads and teams based across GDI Hub including the Academic Research Centre (ARC) at UCL.

This is a senior, strategic, role responsible for team management and leading key projects, leading client, donor and government relationships, and providing strategic subject matter expertise. It would suit someone with a proven-track record in the sector and requires a strong aptitude for strategic thinking, delivery management and the creation of tenable and evidence-based recommendations. They will be creative and collaborative with a drive to make the world a fairer place, inspiring others to do the same.

They will be responsible for delivery on projects and research under their remit and contribute to the development of new projects and research, working closely with partners and clients. Current funders, partners and clients include the UK Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, Asian Development Bank, Climate Investment Funds, UNICEF, Carbon Trust and Expo City Dubai. Role Responsibilities

Project and Research Delivery and Management

• Lead a growing portfolio of projects under the Research and Delivery team including a current portfolio of circa 10 active projects.
• Leadership of Global Thematic Goods sub-programme under the AT2030 programme, with direct project leadership of 2 workstreams (inclusive infrastructure and inclusive climate resilience).

Internal Team Management

• Ensure team resources are used in accordance with project budgets and actively tracked throughout delivery. Review resource capacity and factor into any new project bids or repeat business opportunities.

The Head of Programmes is a critical role for the organisation, responsible for ensuring DEC funded programmes meet programmatic standards, are fully traceable, routinely monitored and comply with organisational procedures and institutional donors’ requirements. In addition, the Head of Programmes is also appointed as the Serious Incident Reporting (SIR) Officer, serving as the first point of contact for member agencies to report incidents regarding safeguarding, financial misconduct and reputational risk.

• Strong understanding of maximising organisational impact, through impact measures and framework

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Head of Policy to help us achieve real impact by leading policy design, implementation and influence across the organisation to ensure an impactful, inclusive and evidence-led approach to social change. The postholder will be responsible for leading on two or more of our Design for Life interventions, which sit within our Prosperous Places portfolio. This is a great opportunity for someone who is motivated by ambitious targets, taking a test and learn approach to achieving impact, and driving system-level change.

This role is based from RSA House in London for at least three days per week, with hybrid flexibility for the remaining days.

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity exists to support the pioneering work of The Royal Marsden, a world-leading and internationally renowned cancer centre. Our support enables the hospital to change the lives of cancer patients, and their families. around the world.
We raise funds to support life-saving cancer research, the construction of new world-class facilities, personalised treatment and care and investment in state-of-the-art equipment.

Key deliverables:

• Act as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor to senior leaders, developing excellent working relationships with the Senior Leadership Team, providing sound senior level HR advice, using data and insights to inform decision-making and drive performance.

The Local Storytelling Exchange is seeking a highly motivated individual to work closely with the Executive Director to drive forward the scale and pace of impact at the Exchange.

This person will be a creative individual with an entrepreneurial mindset. Excited about joining a start-up, they will be strategic and analytical, with a strong understanding of where storytelling can make the biggest public and political impact. A background in strategic communications and / or climate policy is desirable, but a strong track record in project management and ideas development is key. They will enjoy testing new ideas, evaluating success and developing new partnerships and opportunities. A self-starter, they will be a quick learner, able to take initiative and lead the effective delivery of programmes.

A clear grasp of the power of stories will be crucial to the success of this role.

Anna Freud is in an exciting stage of delivery of its 5-year strategy, this includes bringing together different parts of the organisation in a collaborative effort to create and implement a Digital Academy. 

The Head of Digital Learning (internally known as EdTech Lead) will be a new and pivotal role that will support with the successful implementation of the Digital Academy. This role will sit within the Education and Training Division of Anna Freud but they will entail working closely with senior colleagues from across Anna Freud including the Education and Training Division Leadership team, Closing the Gap Acceleration (CtGA) team and the different Heads of departments. Externally they will liaise with external tech organisations to support procurement of new platforms and they will conduct market research to assess the market, target audience and consumer demand for the various services that might be offered through the Digital Academy.

The successful candidate will join a fast-paced, growing and successful team. They will need to be an experienced professional within the field of educational technology, with a good grasp of learning design and virtual learning platforms, as well as experience of commissioning/procuring digital platforms and a demonstrable ability to undertake market research within both home and international markets. An understanding of working in the charity sector and/or within an education and training environment would be helpful. Experience of undertaking projects centered around children, young people and families, mental health or other health-related/science subjects would be welcomed.

Hybrid working (a mixture of onsite and home/remote working). Staff are working onsite for at least 20% of their working hours at our London site (4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH).

Purpose of this role YMCA Thames Gateway offers support and accommodation to young people in need and children in care. The service aims to help young people develop the skills and knowledge to be able to live independently and improve their life chances. The Head of Support will be the strategic lead of the Young Futures Programme and ensure that accommodation and support services are delivered in a regulatory and contractually compliant way. The role will be the Registered Service Manager. The role will ensure that Key Performance Indicators are being met with accurate reporting to Commissioners. The role at a glance

You will be leading our current talented HR team of 6, supported by our SLT and SMT.
