Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) exists so nobody in Scotland suffers or dies because medical help cannot get there in time. People can get sick or have accidents anywhere and anytime. But in Scotland there are places where urgent medical help cannot reach people. Or help gets there too late. And when lives are at risk every minute matters. As a charity we rely on donations from the Scottish public, companies and communities to ensure that urgent medical help gets to the patient when it is needed, wherever they are and at whatever time of day.
The Role
As part of our strategy for growth and national impact, SCAA is seeking a motivated individual to manage our newly formed Data function, as Data and Insights Manager. This is a hands-on managerial role, which will contribute to both the immediate data management requirements and lead on the development of the longer-term Data and Insights Strategy for SCAA.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in embedding a culture of data-driven decision making, using insights and analysis to support future growth, with a particular focus on fundraising, marketing and supporter engagement. They will ensure the right frameworks and infrastructure are in place to allow for effective data management and data-driven decision-making across the charity.
This is a full time role based either at Scone Airport, where SCAA headquarters are located, or at our Aberdeen base at Aberdeen Airport (for Aberdeen-based candidates there will be the requirement to attend our Perth base on an occasional basis). The usual hours and days of work will be Monday to Friday, 9am—5pm. SCAA supports flexible and hybrid working arrangements—our current arrangements consist of a minimum of two office days per week. As our ways of working continue to evolve, we are open to reviewing the hybrid arrangement for this role, and fully remote working may be considered in the longer term.
About You
Essential
- Significant experience leading data strategy, governance or CRM development in a fundraising, marketing or customer insight environment.
- Strong knowledge of data protection and GDPR compliance, with understanding of DPO responsibilities.
- Demonstrable experience in designing and interpreting data analysis and insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Experience overseeing CRM systems from a strategic perspective, including planning for improvements or new systems.
- Working knowledge of Power BI or other data visualisation tools from a user or strategic oversight perspective.
- Excellent leadership and line management skills, with experience developing staff and building data capability within the wider team.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders with complex data insights.
- Project management skills.
Desirable
- Experience within the charity sector, especially in fundraising or supporter engagement.
- Experience working with finance teams on reconciliation and Gift Aid processes.
- Qualification in data protection, data analysis, or a related discipline.

About the role
We’re looking for a Financial Accountant with Charities SORP experience to join our Finance Team.
You will be a key member of the Finance team, responsible for supporting month end processing, maintaining the finance system, assisting in the preparation of the statutory accounts and managing audit queries, and advising on technical and charity-specific accounting queries.
This is an exciting period of change in the finance team with the implementation of a new finance system in October (Microsoft’s Business Central) and this role will be key in supporting that implementation.
Attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement are key to this role to ensure that financial data is correctly recorded and that the charity remains compliant with its regulators.
The Finance team works closely with teams from across the charity and in this role, you will often need to pick up requests flexibly and explain complex financial information to non-financial staff.

What will I be doing?
No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.
- Ensuring timeliness, accuracy and completeness of financial information recorded on the finance system. The role holder should be committed to continuous improvement of processes to ensure the financial data recorded is of the highest quality.
- Systems administrator for the key financial systems – these are SUN (General Ledger software), iPOS and JET (invoice approval and management systems) and banking platforms but a system replacement project is underway to implement Microsoft Business Central (General ledger and invoice management). Responsible for managing access rights, training new users, implementing required changes and updates, and acting as the key point of contact with the system providers.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with tax legislation, preparing the quarterly VAT return, and supporting the Head of Finance Operations in making sure that tax recovery is optimised and that the Charity’s VAT accounting methodology is regularly reviewed.
- Day-to-day management of cash in line with treasury policy including maintenance of operational cash flow forecast and making recommendations to the Head of Finance Operations for investment of cash, to ensure optimal return on investment.
- Co-ordinating the audit preparation process by supporting staff across the Charity to prepare high quality information and by preparing audit schedules for auditor review.

- Qualified Accountant (CCAB or equivalent) with 12 months + post-qualification experience and current membership of a professional accounting body

- Good charity VAT knowledge and completion of a Charity VAT return, including analysis and challenge of data presented by the finance system.

- Business Central experience is desirable.

What you’ll be doing
As Legal Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in shaping River Action’s fight for cleaner rivers by acting as the link between legal expertise provided by external lawyers and River Action’s day-to-day campaigning, policy, advocacy and operational work.
The role will involve working closely with River Action’s Head of Legal to use the law and legal strategies to strengthen and improve environmental protection of the UK’s rivers. This exciting role will include scoping, developing and managing strategic litigation to achieve systemic change as well as supporting River Action’s policy and advocacy work. You’ll also support the River Action team to build successful campaigns to challenge polluters, hold government and regulators accountable, and push for policy reform.
Key duties and responsibilities

Support the Head of Legal in scoping, developing and managing River Action’s legal work, including commissioning legal services from external lawyers and providing instructions on legal matters.

Produce legal research and analysis to inform and support River Action’s strategic litigation, policy and advocacy work.

Work with the campaigns team to develop impactful legal actions as part of creative and positively disruptive campaigns to deliver organisational goals.

Work with the communities team to identify opportunities for River Action to support communities through legal action, including by developing the River Rescue Kit and other initiatives to extend impact.

Engage with and obtain information and evidence from claimants, complainants, expert witnesses and other sources to support legal actions and campaigns.

Develop an in-depth understanding of UK legal and policy frameworks relating to rivers and ensure colleagues are kept up to date with changes.

Monitor legal developments including caselaw and legislative proposals, working closely with the Head of Legal to understand the implications and opportunities for River Action’s work.

Ensure team members are well-briefed on the latest legal developments (both River Action’s work and wider developments) to support their external engagement.

The full team meets in person at least four times per year. These are multi-day meetings held in different locations in the UK. Additional UK travel will also be required. The fast-paced nature of our work and small size of our organisation means we are in very regular contact, ensuring a strong connection across the team.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been creating life-changing partnerships between hearing dogs and deaf recipients since 1982. As well as acting as an ear to their partners and alerting them to sounds, the charity’s clever and expertly trained dogs help deaf people to live life with confidence and independence, whilst providing love, companionship and emotional support.
Following on from a strategic review, the charity is now looking to build a new Income Generation Directorate, to enable them to transform many more lives across the UK. This role will be critical to help Hearing Dogs reach their goals to diversify income, expand their portfolio and accelerate income from mission-aligned businesses.
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Partnerships, this role will take a lead on nurturing existing partnerships and developing new ones, with a specific focus on increasing income through employee engagement and payroll giving schemes. Winning the Business Charity Awards ‘Fashion & Retail’ Award, and shortlisted for two further awards, the campaign has been praised not just for providing warmth, but for restoring dignity, inclusion, and school readiness to thousands of children.
The All Dressed Up campaign—developed with World Book Day and Rubies Masquerade—confronted the often-overlooked issue of financial exclusion on key celebration days. More than 100,000 free dressing up costumes worth £1.34 million were delivered to children from low-income families. By enabling participation in events like World Book Day, we helped spark imagination, joy, and belonging for children who might otherwise feel left out—boosting self-esteem and supporting a positive connection to learning.Furthermore, helping attract children into school on a day which often sees struggling parents keep their children at home.
Alongside these national campaigns, Parentkind supports families year-round through a growing suite of programmes designed to inform, prepare and empower parents. Our Be School Ready programme offers crucial guidance and confidence to parents preparing their children for the leap into primary education. With a mix of practical advice, developmental tips, and reassurance, through the distribution of 150,000 copies of Be School Ready and an online campaign, it supports families at one of the most formative moments in their child’s life.
We also deliver a wide-ranging series of live expert webinars and parent-friendly resources, covering topics such as managing anxiety, supporting special educational needs, navigating school transitions, and building home-school partnerships. These resources, developed in consultation with experts and rooted in lived parent experience, equip families to feel informed and empowered, no matter what challenges arise.
Our direct support of schools
Our collaboration with Asda on Cashpot for Schools is another example of unlocking support at scale. This innovative community-led funding model allowed shoppers to nominate and fund their local schools simply through everyday spending. This campaign has generated £5.78 million for schools during the past twelve months, supporting everything from basic classroom supplies to vital extracurricular programmes and pupil wellbeing initiatives. Also shortlisted for a Business Charity Award, it is already a model for community-driven philanthropy.
In April, we launched our Parent-Friendly Schools Accreditation Programme, designed to formally recognise schools that go above and beyond in fostering positive, inclusive relationships with parents. The accreditation celebrates schools that actively listen to parent voices, make engagement easy and accessible, and embed family partnership in their culture. It is a practical and inspiring tool to drive long-term change in the sector and offers a roadmap for schools wanting to strengthen their community.
Our focus on Policy & Research
Our work is grounded in evidence. Since 2023, we have conducted the UK’s largest annual parent survey: the National Parent Survey. With approaching 6,000 participants providing 130,000 bits of data to provide invaluable insights into the struggles, concerns, hopes and fears of parents. The findings are fed directly into government consultations and have already informed national debates on school funding, attendance, mental health support, SEND provision, and curriculum reform.
In each of the past two years the number of policymakers, educators, parents and researchers accessing the National Parent Survey exceeded seven thousand, and the survey featured in more than two hundred media outlets each year.Excitingly, the Times & Sunday Times are partnering with Parentkind to raise the profile even further in September 2025 and the survey will be launched at a lighthouse event featuring the Secretary of State for Education (Bridget Phillipson), the Ofsted Chief Inspector of Schools (Sir Martyn Oliver), the CEO of Mumsnet (Justine Roberts), the Children’s Commissioner (Dame Rachel De Souza), and our own Chief Executive (Jason Elsom).

Main purpose and scope of this role:
With guidance from the Head of Corporate Partnerships, you will identify, secure, and manage new corporate partnerships to fund Parentkind's mission.
You will build and maintain a new business pipeline to support a sustainable corporate partnerships income stream, targeting a wide range of partnerships (including COTY, corporate grants, commercial and strategic relationships) with regional and national businesses with the capacity to support at a 5,6, and 7-figure level.
You will carry out prospect cultivation, develop tailored proosals and pitches, and manage corporate partner relationships to secure excellent supporter experiences.
By collaborating with key internal stakeholders and securing approirate partnership opportunities, you will enhance support for parents, schools, children and young people.
Duties and key responsibilities
New Business
- Identify and research prospective corporate partners who align with Parentkind’s mission; complete due diligence and compile reports and partner profiles.
- Planning: proactively plan and drive tactical and timely approaches to potential partners.
- Proposal development: produce high‑quality proposals, applications and pitches to secure financial contributions from corporate partners.
- Lead management: respond promptly to new‑business leads, delivering excellent relationship management from initial contact to formal partnership.
- Resource development: contribute to the development and maintenance of key resources for fundraising activities.
- Community Team contribution: contribute to the Community Team’s fundraising initiatives for PTA members.
Partnership Management
- Account management: oversee and manage relationships with selected corporate partners in Parentkind’s portfolio.
- Partnership planning: create and deliver comprehensive, bespoke plans for each partnership, considering all financial and non‑financial opportunities to generate support and mutual value.
- Regular communications: hold regular meetings with partners to ensure partnership objectives are on track; propose compelling partnership content and campaigns.
- Impact reporting: create compelling reports for partners that demonstrate the impact of their contributions and support renewals.
- Coordination of contributions: coordinate gift‑in‑kind/pro‑bono contributions from partners in collaboration with internal teams.
Relationship Management
- Relationship building: cultivate relationships with prospects, developing tailored engagement strategies and keeping key contacts informed of our work.
- Partnership agreements: negotiate clear, mutually understood and appropriate contracts with new corporate partners.
- Network utilisation: leverage organisational networks for introductions and referrals; collaborate with the Head of Corporate Partnerships on network mapping; identify links to target organisations and engage key stakeholders for introductions, referrals and nominations.
- Representation: represent Parentkind at events and networking opportunities.
- Internal collaboration: foster positive relationships across the organisation, ensuring fundraising activities align with the charity’s needs and priorities.
Managing systems
- CRM management: maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records on Parentkind’s CRM (Salesforce), tracking all corporate partnerships activity.
- Monitoring and reporting: contribute to regular monitoring and reporting on corporate partnerships.
- Process management: manage internal processes related to corporate partnerships, including use of third‑party platforms.
- Record keeping: maintain and communicate detailed records of corporate partnerships activities to inform future planning and strategy.
- Finance processes: ensure all corporate partnerships income is accurately coded, allocated and reconciled in line with agreed finance processes.
- Process improvement: contribute to the development of effective processes and systems for managing corporate fundraising activities.

Job Purpose
The Public Affairs Lead sits within our Policy and Advocacy Team, working to build support for The Food Foundation’s work amongst Parliamentarians and to influence the government to help deliver policies that will transform the food system. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small organisation delivering big impact on the political agenda around food.
The Public Affairs Manager reports to our Head of Policy and Advocacy and will be responsible for planning and delivering our public affairs activity. You will spend considerable time meeting MPs and Peers in parliament and building relationships with their teams with a view to identifying potential new supporters and ensuring that The Food Foundation has a range of contacts that we can call on to support and amplify our policy asks and to raise issues when required.
While this role is focused on political engagement, you will work closely with policy and research colleagues and with our communications team to share perspectives on which priorities it may be tactical to pursue at any given time and to understand what evidence is available to inform engagement.
You will also work closely with public affairs professionals in other organisations to deliver joint programmes of engagement work which leverage respective organisational strengths.
You will have excellent political instincts and a strong interest in policy developments, monitoring closely what is going on in Parliament and in Government, and keeping abreast of the latest developments in order to identify opportune moments to maximise political attention on the issues we work on and to galvanise support for policy change.
You will work with our communications team to build compelling narratives targeted at different political stakeholders about the impacts of the food system on our diets, our health and our planet, and the need for evidence-based solutions. In the current parliamentary term we expect a major focus of activity to be on securing a White Paper and then A Bill on food system change.
You will lead on developing and commissioning a range of briefing materials and reports for policy audiences and formulate responses on behalf of the organisation to policy development processes and Parliamentary inquiries.
You will think creatively about methods and opportunities for engagement in order to ensure that The Food Foundation’s messages and priorities are noticed and heard by policy-makers in a very crowded policy space, including by working closely with our events manager to deliver impactful parliamentary events.
You will bring a learning mindset to the role, assessing the impact of our policy engagement approaches in order to make continuous improvements.
The role will be a fulfilling blend of planning engagement campaigns, developing the materials and monitoring tools to enable delivery, and the practical task of developing personal relationships with key stakeholders.
A week in the job will look like: meeting with a Peer that is new to our work to brief them on evidence we have published and our current political priorities, completing a political stakeholder mapping exercise for a new campaign on sustainable diets to identify a shortlist of MPs to engage with, spending an afternoon in parliament to engage informally with passing MPs, pitching a new idea for a parliamentary inquiry to parliamentary staff from the Health and Social Care Committee, drafting an MP briefing for an upcoming debate on the Government’s obesity prevention priorities, reviewing next week’s parliamentary calendar to spot opportunities for engagement, attending a roundtable to share intelligence and discuss priorities for political party manifestos with other NGOs working on food issues, ringing round parliamentary offices to confirm attendance for an upcoming parliamentary reception, meeting with an MP that is closely involved with The Food Foundation’s work to refine messaging for an upcoming campaign.

ROLE OVERVIEW
You will be an exceptional Policy and Public Affairs Manager who will lead your team to achieve the goals detailed in the RLSS UK Strategic Framework 2025-2030. This is a unique opportunity to work on the front line of policy change, collaborating with ministers, government officials and key partners.
This is a strategic, hands-on role suited to someone with a deep commitment to our water safety and drowning prevention priorities together with significant experience of achieving outcomes and impact.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, implement and deliver the RLSS Policy and Public Affairs Strategy
- Influence UK and Ireland ministers and government officials by engaging them directly to raise awareness of RLSS UK’s vision, mission and purpose and seeking their support in achieving our goals
- Work collaboratively to influence specific legislation, including campaigning around bills, writing amendments, and working with MPs and Peers to promote them within the legislative process.
- Lead the management of the APPG
- Manage stakeholder engagement strategies and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and partners.
- Stakeholder engagement (Parliament): Build and maintain relationships with key policy makers and parliamentarians through face-to-face meetings, providing briefings to MPs and Lords for Parliamentary debates, preparing written/oral questions, and attending Select Committees, APPGs, Parliamentary receptions and other relevant roundtables and events.
- Attendance and representation at meetings which support RLSS UK’s policy and public affairs priorities
- Deliver evidence-based campaigns, including the production of speeches, blogs, reports, and social media content in collaboration with the communications and marketing team.
- Support the Communications and Marketing Team to develop content for the website and other internal and external communications, such as blogs and articles.
- Work with the Communications and marketing team to respond to media and other communication opportunities to promote the RLSS UK work and to contribute to national debate on relevant issues.

- Work with RLSS UK members, people directly impacted by the drowning and other key stakeholders to harness and amplify their expertise and insights.
- Where needed, lead the co-ordination and establishment of member expert groups to inform our policy work.
- Develop opportunities for joint working with researchers / research organisations and manage that partnership work, including the development and co-ordinating the RLSS UK research symposium.
- Work with the RLSS UK team to recommend and secure relevant speakers and presenters for RLSS UK meetings and events.
- Contribute to the general administration and delivery of RLSS UK programmes, events and overall objectives.
- Work with the Director of Income Generation and Engagement to support the development of potential fundraising bids and reporting progress to funders.

About the role. We have an opportunity for a Clinical Research Coordinator to join our Clinical Programmes team and support our growing portfolio of clinical research studies. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth delivery of research studies, helping to drive progress and meet key milestones.
As Clinical Research Coordinator, you will be managing the day-to-day operational aspects of the research studies. You’ll act as a central point of contact, collaborating confidently with clinicians, nurses, patient groups and other stakeholders to ensure studies run efficiently and effectively. With a keen eye for detail, you’ll maintain accurate documentation and site files, ensuring readiness for audits and inspections.
About You. You bring experience, and/or proven know-how in clinical research coordination or research project management. You’re highly organised, able to juggle multiple priorities and thrive in a collaborative environment. Your strong written and verbal communication skills help you build effective working relationships with stakeholders and your tech-savviness and understanding of regulatory frameworks allow you to work confidently with study systems and processes.

About the role
We’re looking for a proactive and organised Nations Trusts and Foundations Officer to help us grow and strengthen our funding from charitable trusts and foundations - specifically those supporting our work in Carers Scotland, Carers Wales, and Carers Northern Ireland.
This is a key role that directly supports policy influence and service delivery across the nations by securing flexible, budget-relieving grants. You’ll be responsible for researching funders, developing compelling applications, and building strong relationships with a range of national and regional trusts. You’ll also work closely with our teams in each nation to stay connected to their priorities and help translate their vital work into fundable and fund-winning cases for support.
It’s an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to deepen their expertise in trust fundraising while contributing to lasting change for unpaid carers.
About you
You’ll have experience of writing successful trust funding applications and will feel confident asking for grants of five figures or more. You enjoy writing clearly and persuasively, and you’re good at building positive relationships with funders over time.
You’re organised and reliable, able to manage a busy workload and keep on top of deadlines. You pay close attention to detail and take pride in producing accurate work, especially when reporting back to funders.
You’re someone who works well with others. You’ll enjoy talking to our teams in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to understand what they need and how funding can help. You’re curious, committed, and care about making a difference to people’s lives.
It’s helpful if you already understand the charity landscape in the nations or the challenges unpaid carers face, but it’s not essential. Most important is that you bring a positive, thoughtful approach and are ready to learn.
