JOB PURPOSE
To coordinate Dudley Lodge's impact reporting, fundraising support and business development activities across the organisation.

About the role
The Institut français du Royaume-Uni is seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Patrons’ Circle & Sponsorship Activation to lead the development of its patron engagement programmes and sponsorship (in-kind) activation strategy across the Institut’s major cultural events and flagship seasons.
This senior role has three core objectives:

You will oversee a unique partnership model across 45 local YMCAs, support the income distribution process, and see first-hand the impact of your work through a programme that directly supports young people with safe accommodation.

Event & Engagement Coordinator
Remotely based in North West England with one day a week based in Manchester office. 9‑month fixed‑term contract / placement.
Job Purpose:
To plan, coordinate, and deliver a range of local events across North West England, ensuring each event is well-organised, inclusive, and engaging for local communities. The Local Event & Engagement Coordinator will collaborate closely with partners, local authorities, suppliers, volunteers, and members to deliver high-quality, unique and memorable experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
· Event Coordination
Plan and manage logistics for a variety of local member events, making sure all events are accessible and attractive to both existing and potential members.
· Liaise with relevant external and internal contacts such as venues, suppliers, CSSC’s ticketing platform, Head Office departments, and volunteers.
· Complete all relevant compliance work such as risk assessments and public liability checks.
· Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring value for money and accurate financial tracking.
· Oversee event setup and breakdown where applicable, managing on-site logistics and resolving any issues on the day.
· Recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with events.
· Evaluate event success through feedback, data collection, and post-event reporting.
· Digital Engagement
Promote events via social media, email campaigns, posters, and local press in collaboration with marketing teams.
· Manage and grow the North West’s CSSC TikTok presence, including content planning, filming, editing, posting, and community engagement.
· Create engaging, on-brand short-form video content tailored to target audiences.
· Monitor performance metrics and use insights to optimise content strategy and increase reach and engagement.
· Stay up to date with emerging social media trends, tools, and platform updates.
Key Skills & Experience:
Essential:
· Proven experience in planning and delivering events.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Start Network has an exciting opportunity for a Partnerships Engagement Officer to join our growing Resource Mobilisation team. The role supports donor engagement and income growth, working with trusts, foundations and corporate funders to build strong, long term relationships through high quality stewardship, communications and engagement.
You will support the management of existing and new donor relationships, contribute to proposals and reporting, research and cultivate new funding opportunities, and work closely with colleagues across the organisation to deliver clear and compelling donor communications. The role also leads on the coordination of Start Network’s annual donor visit, taking the full range of our donors to a priority Start Network country of operation to see our work in action.

What will I be doing?
The Manager, Physics Workforce is a key role in the team with a core purpose of supporting and shaping activities that develop a strong and robust evidence base through research to:
- Identify the skills needs of physics powered sectors and champion new ways to meet them.
- Highlight the often-hidden contribution of physics skills to our economy.
Projects you may work on include:
- A multi‑year, Physics Workforce programme that delivers evidence and insight on physics skills across the UK and Ireland.
- Development of sector deep dive projects to identify impactful policy, industry and IOP/partner-led solutions to identified shortages and challenges(with associated reports and stakeholder engagement).
- Supporting the workforce and skills elements of policy submissions and other initiatives across IOP’s strategic pillars of Skills, Science and Society.
Who will I work with?
You’ll work closely with a range of colleagues and stakeholders, including:
- Strategic influencers across the skills ecosystem.
- Physics-based sector and industry stakeholders, including those holding IOP Membership.
- A wide range of colleagues across the IOP - Policy and Public Affairs; Membership; Science, Business and Data Insights; Communications and Marketing; Nations; and EDI.

Essential:
- Credible evidence of translating data, evidence, and stakeholder insight, into compelling narrative (through the writing of reports and similar communication assets).
- Project management competence and experience, including leading high profile, initiation-to-evaluation, multi-stakeholder programmes.
- A strong background of leading stakeholder and desk-based research to drive influence and engagement, ideally developed through a STEM-based policy, public affairs or research role.
