In this role you are responsible for day-to-day operational activity across both finance and HR functions, working closely with the Finance Officer and reporting to the Head of Finance (with ‘dotted line’ reporting to Director of Finance and Operations in respect of HR activity). 
The role requires effective use of systems to enable efficient processes, with responsibility for data held on the HR system and management of routine employee related processes including recruitment and onboarding. The role also shares responsibility for processing invoices and payments on the finance system, responding to queries from colleagues and 3rd party partners. You will provide support for Head of Finance and Director Finance and Operations where required, including data analysis, reporting and preparation of returns across both finance and HR remits.

• Maintain appropriate employee access to Finance Systems, including being able to claim staff expenses and raise sales invoice requests, and support employees in using these systems. 
• Respond to queries in the central accounts mailbox, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support Head of Finance and Finance Officer with Purchase Ledger, including posting and payment of supplier invoices in a timely manner, ensuring accurate coding and authorisation in line with limits, maintenance of supplier accounts, reconciliations and remittances.
• Support Head of Finance and Finance Officer with management of company credit cards and virtual cards, including reconciling statements and accurate posting to the ledger. 
• Assist in raising sales invoices and accurately recording income. 
• Assist with Credit Control, chasing overdue debts and reporting to the Head of Finance.
• Support Head of Finance with analysis of financial data from the finance system (Xero) for reporting and other ad-hoc purposes

About the Role

The Head of Operations will oversee the day-to-day running of the global operations of Reprieve UK, Reprieve US, and our work around the globe. They will have broad responsibility for HR operations, office and facilities management, IT and systems, compliance, data protection, security risk management and operational support across Reprieve’s international operations

Terms

This role is based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work 40% per week from the London office and the rest of the week from home. You will also be available outside of office hours in the event of an emergency and when required as part of the security risk management framework (for example to monitor extreme risk trips). What you'll hold

Where the role is going

From month seven, this role is intended to move to full time with deeper ownership of income and strategy. As YUAF grows, and subject to income generation, we want this post to develop into our Chief Operating Officer role. We'd rather appoint someone who outgrows this description than someone who fits it exactly.

How you'll start

The first six months are a settling period at 30 hours per week. You'll learn how the organisation actually works, get embedded in the culture, and understand the programmes by spending real time with young people and the people who deliver them.

You'll build relationships across the team, with funders and with partners, and by month three, we want people to naturally come to you as a trusted point of contact.

We also want you to look at YUAF with fresh eyes. Where are the gaps? What's held together by one person's memory alone? Where does delivery quality drop, and why? What would make life easier for the staff doing the hardest work? Bring us both the diagnosis and the solutions.

The timing is on your side: November to February is our quietest season, when the Studio Bus is largely off the road. Delivery picks up again in March 2027, so the role builds in stages rather than coming to you all at once.

The Role

This is an exciting new position in our team, created to help build our case for investment, tell our story and harness the support of new audiences. Brief role description:

The Head of International Growth is a new strategic leadership role that will enable parkrun to unlock dynamic, sustainable growth across some of key geographies — currently Europe, Africa, and America, though these may evolve over time. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Global Heads of Commercial, Legal and Governance and Event Delivery and Volunteering, the successful candidate will lead the development and execution of parkrun’s international growth strategy. They will support country managers and regional teams to build scalable, values-led operations that drive participation, social impact, and revenue, while ensuring alignment with parkrun’s global purpose and compliance standards. The role will also oversee market analysis, prioritisation, and partnership development, with accountability for growth KPIs, budget oversight, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver measurable impact across existing and new countries.

This role will:

• Work with country and regional managers to build parkrun’s international strategy, identifying opportunities to grow parkrun both within our existing footprint and also into new countries.

• Develop parkrun’s strategic connectivity and brand awareness in key countries, building advocacy for our vision and purpose.

• Enable sustainable commercial growth by building and delivering revenue strategies tailored to the regional opportunities and overseeing budgets

• Provide inspirational leadership to Country and Regional Managers and advocate for their needs to the Global leadership team.

Main responsibilities:

• Strategic Influence & Stature: Drive the overall presence, reputation, and stature of parkrun across North America, Europe and Africa. Champion Parkrun's mission to break down barriers to physical activity, establishing the brand as a recognised and respected leader in community health and wellbeing.

• Strategic Partnerships & Coalitions: Cultivate and secure strategic relationships across commercial, governmental and participation based stakeholders, creating a network of advocates for parkrun’s vision and ambition aligned to strategic aims.

• Revenue Generation & Sustainability: Working with the Global Commercial team, design and execute commercial revenue strategies tailored to North America, Europe and Africa. About the team

The Philanthropy Team raises income for Impetus and for Impetus partner charities. The team consists of 15 staff. Impetus has an annual income of c.£11 million which we are looking to grow significantly within the next few years. The team is led by two Directors of Philanthropy and Partnerships. 

The Philanthropy Team works with major donors, corporates and grant making trusts, as well as collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to ensure we make a compelling case to generate new financial commitments and wider support for our work. The team also deliver a high-quality engagement programme of volunteering and pro bono for Impetus’s corporate supporters.

The Head of Engagement is a strategically significant and high-impact role within the Philanthropy team, responsible for leading and developing Impetus’ engagement programme across both volunteering and pro bono support.

Strategy and Leadership 

• Develop and deliver the engagement strategy and operational plan for the pro bono and volunteering functions

A London charity is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to join its leadership team on an initial six-month fixed-term contract.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Head of Finance will take overall responsibility for the strategic and operational leadership of the finance function. This is a broad role combining people leadership, financial management, Board-level reporting and hands-on oversight of day-to-day finance operations.

The successful candidate will lead and develop the Finance team while working closely with senior leadership, the Board and relevant committees to provide high-quality financial information, insight and advice.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead, manage and develop the Finance team, ensuring effective delivery across the function.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Oversee management accounts and provide insightful financial reporting and analysis.
• Work closely with senior leadership, the Board and committees, presenting financial information and providing advice and challenge.
• Lead statutory accounts and manage the external audit process.
• Maintain strong financial controls, compliance and governance.
• Oversee and improve finance systems, processes and reporting.
• Partner with budget holders and senior stakeholders across the organisation.

You will:

• Be a qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent).
• Have significant senior-level finance experience within a complex organisation, ideally within the charity or public sector.
• Have a strong track record of leading and developing finance teams.
• Be confident working with executive leadership, Boards and committees, including preparing and presenting financial information.
• Have strong experience across budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, statutory accounts, audit and financial controls.
• Be comfortable operating through periods of change and transformation.
• Possess excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

We’re looking for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with at least three years’ post-qualification experience and a strong grounding in financial and management accounting. You’ll ideally bring experience across UK GAAP, Charity SORP, charity accounting, VAT, audit, multi-currency environments and financial systems, alongside excellent Excel skills. Experience with donor management systems would also be advantageous but not a requirement.

Beyond the technical skills, this role would suit someone who is collaborative, pragmatic and comfortable operating across a wide range of stakeholders. Someone who can combine strong financial governance with a service-focused, solutions-oriented approach.
