This role will work with the Land Manager (West) on the delivery of practical improvements for wildlife across GWT nature reserves and throughout Nature Recovery Zones (NRZs) in the west of the county (Lower Wye Valley, Central Forest of Dean, Severn Hams, Leadon Vale) with workshops at Tidenham Chase, Coleford and Gloucester. Habitats include heathlands, ancient woodland, species-rich unimproved grasslands, floodplain meadows, hay meadows, quarry pits, mires and more.
This role will help to mentor Wild Trainees, and work with volunteer teams to help deliver work plan objectives.
An important part of this role will be supporting the trusts conservation grazing objectives with native and hardy breeds of livestock including Highland cattle, Exmoor ponies and Hebridean sheep.
This is a permanent, full-time post (35 hours per week) subject to a six-month probationary period.

The Digital Lead is the operational backbone of the Digital team, responsible for ensuring the smooth, day-to-day running of all digital functions. This role is a key partner to the Head of Digital, freeing them to focus on strategy, vision, digital transformation and high-level stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management & Team Leadership
· Line Management and People Development: Serve as the primary line manager for the digital managers of web, digital campaigns & email and social media, overseeing day-to-day operations and team performance. Conduct regular check-ins, performance reviews, and support individual development plans, iterating and embedding the "Digital Wavemakers Manifesto" and team development approach.
· Demand & Workload Management: Actively manage the team's workload and capacity. Implement and maintain processes for demand management and effective planning to ensure the team can deliver its goals sustainably.
· Resource Planning: Ensure resources are allocated effectively across the team's goals, from daily operations to specific projects.
· Team Culture: Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture. Monitor team health and morale using surveys and qualitative feedback, ensuring the team is well-supported and motivated.
Goal & Objective Delivery
· Operational Goal Delivery: Drive the delivery of the Digital team’s operational goals and objectives for the fiscal year. This includes ensuring all goals related to digital purpose, principles, and team objectives are met, as per the established department plan.
· DDT Programme Support: While not a core part of the role, the Digital Lead will provide operational support to the Head of Digital and the broader digital transformation programme. This includes ensuring the Digital team's resources and deliverables (e.g. website development, cyber security, Salesforce embedding) are planned effectively to support the DDT's success, without taking on direct project management responsibility for them.
Planning & Reporting
· Operational Planning: Support the Head of Digital with the development of the team's operational plans, including learning and development initiatives, and the Digital Acceleration Training Programme.
· Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key departmental metrics, such as learning programme participation rates and team satisfaction, to the Head of Digital. Ensure all departmental objectives and goals are on track.
What we are looking for:
· Extensive experience in an operational management role within a digital or technology team.
· Proven ability to Line Manage and mentor a team, with a focus on people development and wellbeing.
· Strong skills in workload and demand management, with a track record of building sustainable and effective operational processes.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
· Familiarity with digital project lifecycles, and the ability to support project teams without direct management of the projects themselves.

Additional Information:
Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

DELIVERY OF MOTORSPORTS ENGAGEMENT STRATEGY (70%)

Play a key role in the development and execution of Mission 44’s new Motorsports strategy, to create access opportunities for young people from underrepresented backgrounds within STEM sectors, particularly motorsports.

Build trusted relationships with key motorsport employers and stakeholders, including F1, F1 teams, FIA, and relevant STEM employers, to drive sector-wide change, focusing on increasing demand for underrepresented talent, adoption of inclusive recruitment practices, and awareness of Mission 44’s work and impact.

Apply and continually improve the convening strategy and toolkits to Mission 44’s STEM work, helping determine when and how convening can most effectively support our goal of inspiring and supporting young people (aged 14–30) in the UK and US to access careers in STEM and motorsport.

Collaborate with the Engagement Directorate, nonprofit partners and corporates to design and deliver high-impact STEM career experiences at Formula 1 races and other key events - some of which will be international - ensuring alignment with Mission 44’s objectives and offering young people meaningful exposure to career pathways.

As a Community Fundraiser, you’ll be at the heart of building and championing our volunteer community. You will work closely with local fundraising and volunteering groups, inspiring them to create meaningful activities that raise vital funds for Marie Curie. Reporting to the Deputy Head of Region, you’ll collaborate with passionate fundraising colleagues to grow and energise our volunteer network—helping new and existing volunteers feel empowered, supported, and excited to make a difference in their communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow, recruit and support volunteering and fundraising groups, building trusted relationships and nurturing an engaged, motivated volunteer community.
- Lead local delivery of flagship campaigns, including The Great Daffodil Appeal, working alongside volunteers to maximise reach and impact.
- Champion volunteering in your area, increasing community involvement through active outreach, events, and relationship-building.
- Collaborate across teams and with external partners, ensuring volunteers have what they need to thrive and succeed.
- Maintain accurate records and uphold excellent fundraising practice, safeguarding volunteers and supporters.
- Use social media and local communication channels to celebrate volunteer achievements and inspire new supporters to get involved.
What You’ll Need
- Proven experience working with volunteers including recruitment, engagement, and ongoing support.
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to inspire confidence in individuals and groups.
- Strong organisational skills, including planning, prioritising and managing budgets.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience using databases or CRM systems.
- A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the region, including some evenings and weekends.

Our Supported Housing and Emergency Accommodation Service is funded to provide support to those with multiple and complex needs who are experiencing, or at risk of experiencing homelessness, located in close proximity within Gateshead:
- Two supported housing sites; one 8 bed, one 6 bed, both staffed 24 hours.
- Six self-contained properties forming the emergency accommodation element of the service.
Our properties are places of safety, Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE), from which we work with individuals. We aim to provide accommodation and support that helps people find self-worth and the belief that they deserve a better future, before moving them on safely and successfully, therefore reducing homelessness and the on-going risk of homelessness. To join us you will need to demonstrate an understanding of the complexity of needs related to homelessness, especially mental ill-health, alcohol and substance misuse and offending, and a working knowledge of Safeguarding in this context. You will be able to work calmly under pressure, flexibly, and using your own initiative to problem solve in a demanding environment. You will be able to effectively line manage staff, work in close partnership with external partners, and be able to monitor and effectively oversee the day to day running of the service, in line with organisational ethos and values.

Role Description
The purpose of the Executive Assistant role is to provide administrative, organisational and coordination support to the Executive Team, ensuring their time and attention are aligned with organisational priorities, goals, and objectives. The role covers executive coordination, governance administration and project support. The Executive Assistant enables effective decision making across the Leadership Team, supports the smooth delivery of priorities, and contributes to the execution of long-term strategic goals.
The Executive Team comprises the Chief Executive, Operations Director and Business Development Director. They work together as part of the Leadership Team, comprising key leaders from across the charity.
Excellent attention to detail is crucial, as is the ability to operate with discretion and flexibility. A high standard of written and verbal communication is essential. The role requires collaboration across Finance, HR, Trustees, and external stakeholders, and an understanding of effective charity governance would be desirable.
This role requires a high level of emotional intelligence, sound judgement, and the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organisation. Success in this role depends on a proactive mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to remain calm and resourceful under pressure. The Executive Assistant must be highly dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of managing sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Responsibilities
Executive Coordination
- Manage calendars, inboxes, travel and meeting preparation for Executive Team
- Coordinate agendas and logistics for internal and external meetings
- Liaise with stakeholders, clients and partners to ensure smooth engagement
Governance Support
- Own the established governance timetable, board meeting scheduling, and trustee communications
- Draft and distribute board packs, take minutes, and track actions
- Support governance processes in collaboration with the Operations Director

- Ensure timely completion of Charity Commission and Companies House submissions
- Leverage AI tools and platforms to enhance business processes
Strategic communications

Project support
- Support ongoing transformation projects in collaboration with Head of Business Functions

Role Requirements
Required:
- Minimum of four years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience supporting senior leaders in a fast paced and changing environment, taking initiative and managing competing deadlines calmly and flexibly.
- Confident communicating with the executive and leadership team, trustees and external partners in a professional and timely way.
- Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and good judgment.
