Mind in Enfield and Barnet is seeking Community care coordinators for some of our most vulnerable users of emergency services. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic (Senior) Research Officer. This exciting role involves undertaking research on gambling related financial harms and engaging with stakeholders in financial services firms to practically apply our research to their work. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent critical thinking, research and policy development skills, with the ability to digest complex information quickly and appraise firms work against regulatory requirements, best practice examples and policy recommendations.

The successful candidate will primarily work as part of the Gambling Harms Action Lab team where we’re bringing together seven representatives from financial services firms to explore ways to reduce gambling related financial harms. The (Senior) Research Officer will be an integral part of the team working to tackle gambling related financial harms through delivering timely and insightful research and consultancy support.

Main purpose of post
To provide high-level, confidential administrative and strategic support to the
CEO and Deputy CEO, enabling them to focus on leadership priorities by

Trusts and Foundations Manager 

St Martin-in-the-Fields Charity (SMITFC) is looking for a strategic, relationship-driven Trusts and Foundations Manager to help shape the future of our income generation from charitable trusts and foundations. This is a pivotal role within our Philanthropy, Trusts and Foundations Team, working to ensure that we not only maintain but significantly grow our sustainable income streams in support of people experiencing homelessness and extreme vulnerability.

Working alongside the Philanthropy Manager and Prospect Researcher, this role will be responsible for identifying and securing new 5-6 figure+ gifts, maintaining and deepening engagement with our existing funding partners and developing a pipeline of future funding opportunities designed to spread risk and build for a reliable, realistic income growth over time.

Key Responsibilities

 The successful candidate will:

• Work with the Head of Philanthropy, Trusts and Foundations (P&TF) to develop the Charity’s Trust and Foundations growth strategy ensuring it maximises sustainable net income from both general and restricted Trust and Foundation funding sources, diversifies income and starts to spread income timelines away from a reliance on our Christmas appeal period.
• Work collaboratively across the charity to acquire an excellent knowledge and understanding of SMITFC values and programmes, to inform the creation of bespoke donor materials, cases for support, funding proposals and reports.
• Lead on the creation and submission of bespoke proposals and reports to existing Trusts and Foundations, maintaining accurate development and submission deadlines and excellent records of progress and outcomes on CRM.
• Lead on the cultivation and maintenance of strong relationships with existing funders and trustees, identifying opportunities for key decision makers to become active and engaged in the Charity’s activities, whilst gaining a greater understanding of a project’s long term aims and consequent impact.
• Work in collaboration with the Prospect Researcher to develop a pipeline of new 5-6 figure + Trusts and Foundations prospects able to give within the next 3 years.
• Lead on the bespoke stewardship and engagement of newly identified 5-6 figure + Trusts and Foundations prospects and ensure that submission deadlines are met, and reporting schedules observed.
• Work with the P&TF team to deliver our annual Christmas Appeal – to include the development of the P&TF Christmas Appeal 2025, deliver the annual Christmas Appeal Launch event, and optimize the use of social medial and other platforms to reach potential new funders over the Christmas period and beyond.
• Work with the P&TF team to develop the high value offering for the 100 Anniversary appeal 2026.
• Ensure that resources and budgets are managed effectively and provide Trust and Foundation fundraising financial information as required by the Head of P&TF – including contributing to income risk assessments, identifying gaps or shifts in funding and support contingency planning with the wider P&TF team.
• Ensure accurate records of funding opportunities, donor contact details and prospect research are maintained across CRM and finance systems.
• Work collaboratively with SMITF partner charities to align stewardship, donor asks and maximise income.

Working as an integral part of the ED Navigator team, our successful candidate will identify and assess young victims of violence and provide a comprehensive and holistic assessment, advice, referral and support service, exploring innovative and effective ways of supporting them which will reduce their risk of re-victimisation.

You will produce support and risk management plans based on assessments, promoting inter-agency collaboration in the assessment and planning process, and deliver a holistic support service, working solo or with colleagues as the situation dictates, which will include providing practical help such as social and housing support, accompanying to appointments, ETE options and appearing in court. We will also count on you to develop and maintain relationships with partner agencies and to close cases efficiently and positively, identifying a referral route for the client that will identify agencies that can be used for ongoing support.

Position: Third Party Events Lead - Maternity cover
Location: Office-based from one of our national offices (London, Cardiff, Belfast, or Edinburgh) with flexibility to work remotely

About This Job

The Third Party Events Lead is a key role in the development of our growing fundraising events programme. The role provides strategic and operational leadership to the Third Party Events team, making sure they’re enabled to deliver our annual portfolio of MS Society events across the UK.

In this role you’ll be responsible for ensuring our portfolio of events are delivered to a high standard, on time and on budget, as well as being a key part of our Community, Events &Retail Fundraising leadership team.

Our role is to deliver engaging, high quality and innovative fundraising to our amazing supporters and provide an attractive, inclusive programme of events and activities throughout the year.

Marketing & Communications Officer (Maternity Cover)

Main purpose of the job

• To support a range of activity that helps raise the profile of the Royal Star & Garter group with a focus on Care for Veterans.

• To provide design services for inhouse creative projects, including the development of on and offline materials to support marketing and fundraising activity.

• To maximise our digital platforms to increase awareness and engagement.

• To lead on activity to promote occupancy and other services provided by the Home

Marketing & PR

• Coordinating the development of the Care for Veterans website, bringing content into line with Royal Star & Garter and helping prepare for a longer term integration.

• Creating engaging content for the Care for Veterans website and social media platforms.

• Development of press content supporting our focus on the Royal Star & Garter group as an exemplar of best practice.

• Effective support for a range of Care for Veterans fundraising events to include digital marketing and attending in person.

• To develop and design marketing materials and literature to be used across Care for Veterans.

• To design and write the content for donor and supporter newsletters (print and digital)

• To develop and implement marketing plans to support occupancy and services for Care for Veterans, including Day Care.

• To develop paid digital advertising campaigns to support activity across fundraising and occupancy

Process & administration

• Review, update and oversee the Care for Veterans consent process.

• Support on incoming media enquiries with a focus on Worthing site.

• Support the planning, tracking and updating of the marketing and communications budget to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Support the roll out of the new Care for Veterans brand overseeing a range of material production.

Person specification

Knowledge and experience:

• Experience of working in a busy marketing environment with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage a varied workload delivering projects to a high standard.

• A sound knowledge and understanding of digital marketing.

• Good knowledge of relevant marketing and charitable legislation and guidelines.

Skills:

• Excellent communication and listening skills across a wide range of audiences.

• Good editing, copywriting and design skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong relationship building with the ability to work across teams.

• Good IT skills including MS 365, Teams, Mailchimp, Canva and Adobe or other design packages.

• Experience of using Wordpress to maintain web content.

• An enthusiasm and commitment to the work of Care for Veterans and Royal Star & Garter.
