Key Responsibilities

Impact Measurement

o Design and oversee frameworks for monitoring and evaluating strategic outcomes.

o Prepare and present impact reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.

o Support the wider staff team in gathering data to inform and underpin the Impact Framework.

 Partnerships Development

o Build and maintain partnerships with RankNet members, other funders, government, and community organisations.

o Negotiate and manage collaborative projects to maximise reach and effectiveness.

 Place-based Programmes 

o Lead the place-based programmes (currently Plymouth and Sunderland) and design frameworks for monitoring and evaluating strategic outcomes. 

o Collaborate with other funders and partners to achieve shared goals. 

o Represent the Foundation at local, regional, and national events that focus on place-based work. 

Community Engagement

o Develop and implement strategies to strengthen relationships with RankNet members, partners, and funders.

Strategic Leadership

o Contribute to organisational strategy, identify emerging trends and opportunities for social impact.

o Translate organisational strategy into clear, measurable objectives, ensuring alignment across teams and programmes.

o Manage strategic risk in relation to funders and partnerships, reputation and delivery, ensuring ethical, inclusive and sustainable practice.

 Advocacy and Representation

o Serve as the public face of the Foundation at funder and partnership events.

o Advocate for causes aligned with the Foundation’s mission.

ROLE OVERVIEW

You will be a passionate and ambitious leader with the skills, knowledge and experience to drive Membership retention and growth whilst listening to our diverse membership base to understand the areas that are important to them to help us to support their specific needs in their areas.

You will have a dynamic approach with the ability to combine business development, relationship management, stakeholder engagement and operational oversight to ensure that RLSS UK’s membership thrives and aligns with our purpose, mission and vision.

RLSS UK members include Lifesavers, Lifeguards, Licence to Operate Members, Lifesaving Academy members, Honorary Members and Staff.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Regular communications and support to branches and lifesaving clubs
• Engage with our members to understand their needs and future opportunities to support their roles in their communities and beyond
• Conduct research and horizon scan for new opportunities for our members
• Conduct research to identify and understand potential new members and opportunities to support growth and meet need
• Conduct research to identify and connect with relevant external stakeholders
• Drive new membership onboarding, ensuring a seamless and effective experience
• Ensure clubs achieve and maintain the appropriate accreditation in line with RLSS UK requirements, policies and processes
• Develop an annual plan of community engagement and roadshows with members and non-members to raise awareness of the work of RLSS UK and our members, to recruit new members and share water safety and drowning prevention education and campaigns
• Ensure clear and concise processes are in place to support membership experience, retention and growth
• Work collaboratively with all RLSS UK teams to raise awareness of our awards and qualifications offer. Collaborate to adapt offerings based on member feedback and emerging industry trends
• Develop tailored marketing materials to support our membership offer and recruit new members.
• Represent RLSS UK in meetings with key stakeholders and to share outcomes and impact to further the society’s purpose, mission and vision.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• At least 10+ years’ experience in a Membership role
• Significant experience of working at a leadership role level ideally in a membership organisation
• Demonstrable experience of positively interacting, engaging and influencing at all levels including with senior management and external stakeholders
• Demonstrable experience of membership retention and acquisition
• Demonstrable experience of successfully pitching new approaches to prospective members, ideally in a membership organisation

Our client is a leading Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy and Counselling training organisation and therapeutic services provider based in North London. They provide high quality, low-cost psychotherapy and counselling to children, young people, parents and families in over 35 schools and organisations in London and the South East as well as from their London-based therapeutic and training centre ‘The Bothy’. At an exciting time of change, the organisation are now looking to recruit a dynamic new Head of Services to oversee the efficient delivery and development of their therapeutic services.

As Head of Services you will be responsible for leading on the delivery, development and growth of the organisation's therapeutic services. You will oversee a small, tight-knit team (comprising of office staff, as well as a Clinical Lead and a School Liaison Coordinator), leading on administrative, marketing and budgeting for the entire service.  You will update and implement policies across the organisation to meet standards in the field of therapeutic provision and mental health services. You will also liaise with external agencies, statutory and non-statutory organisations and schools, nurturing relationships, identifying new clients and securing new contracts in order to develop additional revenue streams and ensure the financial sustainability of the Centre.

You will have an awareness of children mental health services (CAMHS) and related settings such as education, social care, health, public sector, and will be confident working in partnership and building relationships with a variety of external agencies. A recognised child psychotherapy qualification with UKCP or ACP training organisation would be an advantage.

As education quality assurance service officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, coordination, and continuous improvement of World Physiotherapy’s education quality assurance services, including programme accreditation and CPD recognition.

You will be one of the key points of contact for World Physiotherapy education quality assurance services including physiotherapist entry level programme accreditation and continuing professional development (CPD) recognition. The position is instrumental in assisting the smooth running of World Physiotherapy education quality assurance services and supporting the work of the Head of membership, education and development, and other staff working on the education portfolio.

You will use your experience, initiative, confidence, project and organisational skills to support effective implementation of the education quality assurance services. You will support and coordinate activities and administrative tasks for the full review cycle. Duties and key responsibilities

Education quality assurance service administration

• Act as a primary point of contact for all inquiries related to education quality assurance services including physiotherapist entry level programme accreditation and CPD recognition services.
• Manage the full application process, including intake, tracking, communication with applicants, assigning reviewers, and ensuring all required documentation is complete.
• Manage the annual reporting process
• Coordinate the distribution of applications and supporting materials to reviewers, ensuring timelines and procedures are followed.
• Organise and support site visits, including scheduling, logistics, documentation, and communication with applicants and reviewers.
• Support reviewers throughout the evaluation process, including preparing materials, responding to questions, and ensuring adherence to governance requirements.
• Provide administrative support to reviewers in preparation of documentation for internal and committee consideration.
• Organise accreditation committee meetings.
• Prepare materials for committee approval and minutes of the committee meetings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to organisational standards.
• Communicate to applicants the final outcome of the quality assurance process and issue certificates
• Maintain accurate records, files, and data related to all quality assurance activities.
• Work with Head of membership, education and development to carry out activity analysis and assess ways to improve and scale up quality assurance services.

Operational support

Manage the accreditation application and review process in the CRM (Salesforce) and CPD recognition in CEU Locker (platform currently used for the service).

Manage the data base of reviewers (eg declaration of interest, updated contact information).

Provide technical and logistical support across all education quality assurance operations for any physical or digital meetings.

Work with relevant staff to ensure that activities are set up on Teamwork® or other project management software and support their ongoing management.

Support communications activities:

• ensuring that lists of accredited programmes and approved CPD are up to date
• providing information to promote uptake of quality assurance services
• editing and formatting education quality assurance documents for house style

Liaise with different stakeholders including member organisations, regions, specialty groups and networks if necessary and as required by the Head of membership, education and development and other staff.

Maintain office systems and procedures, including data management and reporting.

Promote the image of World Physiotherapy in all activities and contribute to the overall development of the organisation undertaking any reasonable duties, as required and agreed, to support the work of World Physiotherapy.

Person specification

The education quality assurance service officer must have experience in supporting quality assurance management and administration. They must be highly organised, self-motivated and able to demonstrate initiative in managing complex and competing demands from different sources.

It is expected that the individual will have a relevant degree, or equivalent professional experience in quality assurance, education administration, project coordination, or related field. Experience of working with senior staff, academics and boards/committees is essential. Experience working with reviewers, review boards or academic/quality assurance processes is an asset.
