Role Requirements

Site wide general housekeeping service – ensure that the housekeeping services is of an acceptable level and is consistent across site.

• Carry out a cleaning service in allocated buildings/rooms/areas ensuring that daily tasks are completed according to the standard operating procedures in relation to the cleanliness/hygiene standards.
• Follow infection control procedures whenever carrying out duties and ensure procedures are followed should there be an infection control outbreak.
• Liaise with the Housekeeping Supervisor and House Staff on a daily basis – carrying out special requests in relation to Housekeeping.
• Ensure safe storage of cleaning materials and equipment and sufficient stock is maintained – informing the Housekeeping Supervisor of stock requiring ordering.
• Assist in the cleaning of communal areas on a daily basis and cleaning of carpets, curtains and high dusting on a rotating schedule.
• Ensure that any repairs required to fixtures and fittings are reported to the designated Facilities Helpdesk as soon as possible and any issues are reported to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Assist in routine housekeeping audits as outlined in the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and ensure any works are to agreed service levels.
• Prioritise work to complete assignments in a timely manner.
• Assist other members of the Site Services and Facilities teams as required.
• Undertake other or additional duties that are within your skills and abilities, as the organisation may reasonably require from time to time.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced youth worker to join our Brent team. You will bring energy, compassion, and resilience to make a real change to the life chances of young people in the UK asylum system.

You will be responsible for supporting young people aged 14-25 years, enabling them to access a range of social, emotional, and practical support as they navigate the complex and challenging processes of the UK asylum system.You will help us run activities for young people at our advice hub on Wednesday evenings in Brent and run our youth group on Thursday evenings in Brent n as well as our sporting activities and trips.

You will work closely with our Brent Youth Development Coordinator. You will need to be able to work under pressure, acting as a consistent and stable point of contact for young people, ensuring that their safety and well-being are paramount.

Working flexibly from home, you will perform a core role in our small, friendly virtual team helping to maintain financial stability and control as we focus on our mission to deliver successful projects across a range of settings globally. Advocacy and Support Manager

Galop, the UK’s LGBT+ anti-abuse charity, is seeking a Survivor Engagement Manager. Galop works directly with thousands of LGBT+ people who have experienced abuse and violence every year. We specialise in supporting victims and survivors of domestic abuse, sexual violence, hate crime, and other forms of abuse including honour-based abuse, forced marriage, and so-called conversion therapies. We are a service run by LGBT+ people, for LGBT+ people, and the needs of our community are at the centre of what we do. We are person-centred, empowerment-based, and trauma- informed – meaning our focus is always on helping our clients decide what is best for them, and then supporting them through their journey.

We are looking for a new Advocacy & Support Manager to manage a team of specialist advocates and caseworkers providing needs-led support, information and advocacy to LGBT+ survivors of a range of violence and abuse. You will work with the Head of Advocacy and other advocacy managers to ensure that survivors have access to needs-led, timely support that is right for them, maintaining high quality, consistent support across our advocacy and one-to-one support, whether that is in-person or remote.

You will have an in depth understanding of the spectrum of violence and abuse that LGBT+ people are subjected to, including the causes, impact and barriers to accessing services. You will use your expertise to represent Galop with key stakeholders, advocating for the needs of the community. You will be responsible for ensuring that data collected about the service is collected consistently and use this to report to funders. You will develop and maintain relationships with funders and ensuring that the service is effectively demonstrating the different that it makes. You will work with the Head of Advocacy and Director of Services to develop bids for new or continued funding for frontline services. 

You will have expertise in delivering needs-led specialist support services. You will need to be solutions-focussed and enjoy working collaboratively across a diverse and committed team. You’ll need to have good resilience and self-care, and be prepared to work in an environment where abuse and violence are regularly talked about. The organisation accommodates customers with a range of support needs including Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, and Young People, as well as unsupported. Look Ahead operates in 37 local authority areas. It owns and manages around 1,264 homes and a further 1,295 homes on behalf of other landlords. The role will involve working across the company's existing properties and projects in and around London and the Home Counties. The Building Surveyor will report directly to the Senior Building Surveyor. The role will involve a mix of working from site, homeworking and 1-2 days in the office.

What you'll do:

* Technical condition surveys and reports on properties and their presentation to internal and external colleagues as required
* Designing, specifying and providing cost advice on any required maintenance, refurbishment, adaptation or development works
* Appointing and liaising with external contractors and consultants making sure work carried out is cost controlled and up to standard
* Pre, post and regular inspections and ensuring projects are delivered with quality and value for money
* Inspecting aspects of compliance making sure each project is aligned with company procedures and legislation
* Taking a lead on the Project Management of a variety of improvement/minor/major projects
* Work with external partners as technical lead ensuring the employer's requirements are understood and delivered
* Support Business Development/Operations with survey requests, making sure to clarify the brief before commencing each instruction

Disability Advice Service Lambeth (dasl) is Lambeth’s peer-led Disabled People’s Organisation. 

You will lead a two-year project contributing to the work of the No Wrong Door partnership – local organisations and local residents working together to ensure there is ‘No Wrong Door’ for Black Disabled people seeking employment, as they can expect excellent support from any organisation. 

We want to change the system, influencing employment support providers and their Commissioners to ensure support for Black Disabled people who are seeking employment is appropriate, accessible and inclusive.

You will have excellent project management skills and use your lived, personal experience of race and disability equity issues to implement change, working collaboratively with residents (Lived Experience Leads), partner organisations and employment support providers. Your role will involve working primarily with Black Disabled Lambeth residents. As the Fundraising Partnerships Manager you will be responsible for delivering and managing strategic partnerships between corporate partners and the Harlequins Foundation, building strong relationships with a focus on maximising income and raising awareness of the Foundation’s purpose.

The Harlequins Foundation is the charitable arm of the Club, delivering programmes in our communities that primarily support young people to develop the Essential Skills, enabling success on and off the pitch.

This is an incredible opportunity for a corporate fundraising professional with an excellent grasp of working across all aspects of partnership management to make a difference with our impactful organisation. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and Engagement and within a small Fundraising team, your focus will be on identifying and securing long-term, strategic partnerships with a variety of organisations as well as building on and maintaining those already in place.

You will develop key relationships within the Foundation and Club’s network of supporters and partners to manage a portfolio of different partnerships, securing donations, sponsorship, volunteers, communication opportunities and fundraising as relevant to each corporate relationship.

Qualifications and experience

• Educated to degree level or demonstrable equivalent experience
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a professional environment dealing with external partners
• Proven ability to build relationships with a focus on fundraising
• Experience of generating income through partnerships, with an ability to innovate and maximise fundraising from corporate opportunities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to confidently present to stakeholders in person or online
• Ability to build excellent relationships and a confidence in networking and public speaking
• Experience of multiple tactics to secure meetings and develop relationships with prospects including, but not limited to, cold calling, emailing, running events, event networking and social media
• Experience developing and delivering engaging, relevant and impactful pitches and written proposals to prospective partners
• Strong team player and project leadership, ensuring clear and regular communication with the team and stakeholders as appropriate
• Competent user of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience of CRM systems and project management tools
• Experience of working within the sports charity/sports sector (desirable)
