We are the voice of cycling in Oxford.  We support more people to cycle in Oxford, more often and more safely

We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated locally based individual to take forward our strategy.   This person will lead the work of the Cyclox infrastructure; increase Cyclox membership, ensure we are compliant and work closely with our Campaigns Lead  which will include research, input into campaigns, fundraising applications and perform other administrative functions.   We are looking for someone who is very flexible and can work work with a wide range of stakeholders.  Ideally we would prefer one person but please indicate if you would prefer to do this as a job share.

Your responsibilities will include responding to enquiries, manging our DIY fundraising programme, acknowledging donations, and assisting with administrative tasks across the team. Combat Stress is the UK's leading mental health charity for veterans. For over a century we've been helping former servicemen and women deal with issues like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression. Today we provide specialist treatment and support for veterans from every service and conflict, focusing on those with complex mental health issues related to their military service. We provide a range of community, outpatient and residential mental health services to veterans with complex mental health problems. We provide services in-person, and via phone and online.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Administrative Support

• To be the first point of contact for challenge event supporters - ensuring that they receive responses within agreed timeframes, and always in a warm, friendly, and supportive manner.
• To work with the team to ensure systems and processes run efficiently, and update these where necessary.
• Assist with the administration, preparation and implementation of challenge events to include updating the events on the Combat Stress website.
• Maintaining the fundraising database, Raiser's Edge, ensure all supporter information is accurate and up to date.
• Ensure fundraising stewardship strategy and GDPR guidelines are adhered to.
• Maintaining accurate financial records, including coding expenditure and filing invoices.
• Respond to and co-ordinate requests for fundraising literature, merchandise and the distribution of promotional materials.
• Help manage our on-line fundraising platform Fundraisin and other fundraising platforms including JustGiving, Enthuse etc.
• Working with the wider Challenges and Community team, co-ordinate and create our Challenge eNews, providing suitable fundraiser stories for this and our social media.

Relationship Management, Development and Stewardship

• Develop strong working relationships internally to ensure the portfolio is delivered efficiently, particularly with the Community, Corporate, Database, Digital and Communications teams
• Assist with marketing, recruitment and organisation of all challenge events, and stewardship of challenge event participants on their supporter journey.
• Manage our DIY fundraising programme, making sure supporters' personal stories are recognised and they receive the best possible experience to encourage long-term engagement.
• Represent Combat Stress at meetings, events and presentations outside normal office hours (evenings and weekends) as required. You will be given time off in lieu of these hours.
• Undertake any ad hoc duties of a compatible nature as may be required from time to time by the Head of Challenge and Community Events.

You will develop our wider employability programme. This means:

• organising and facilitating regular employment taster days for people with learning disabilities looking to move into work in order to raise aspirations and developing an understanding of the workplace
• planning & running CV development workshops to help adults with learning disabilities prepare for the world of work
• developing our evidence-based employability model, drawing on good practice from other sectors, in order to constantly improve and refine the model

As part of your 20 hours per week, you will also be required to undertake one evening or weekend shift per week of up to 6 hours, as a Taproom Supervisor.

What we need from you (the essentials):

• experience of working or volunteering with neurodivergent adults or people with learning disabilities
• experience of leading, teaching, coaching, mentoring or otherwise supporting groups of people

SHINE is a membership organisation offering free services and support to over 14,700 members living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH), and associated conditions.

Main purpose of post
To provide high-level, confidential administrative and strategic support to the
CEO and Deputy CEO, enabling them to focus on leadership priorities by
managing their schedule, communications, and key relationships—while also
supporting governance functions and ensuring smooth coordination with the
Board of Trustees and senior leadership team.
Co-ordinate and service all Board of Trustee meetings and committees to ensure
the charity is effectively governed. You will provide support to the Trustees as
required.

Support the Senior Leadership Team by co-ordinating and servicing meetings,
creating and monitoring action logs and administering the Risk Register.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Support:
 Provide proactive administrative and strategic support to the CEO and
Deputy CEO, including diary management, meeting coordination, and
handling correspondence.
 Manage and prioritise emails, draft communications, and assist in the
preparation of reports, presentations, and briefing documents.
 Coordinate travel, event attendance, and speaking engagements for the
CEO and Deputy CEO.

Board & Governance Support:
 Act as the key administrative support for the Board of Trustees and
Board committees, including scheduling meetings, preparing and
distributing papers, taking accurate minutes, and tracking actions.
 Maintain governance calendars, ensuring alignment with charity
reporting requirements and deadlines.
 Support the CEO and Head of Governance & Operations in ensuring
compliance with regulatory and governance obligations (e.g., Charity
Commission, Companies House).
 Facilitate effective communication between the CEO and Trustees, and
support Board induction, development and off boarding processes.
 Maintain accurate records and filing systems for confidential and
governance documentation.

Stakeholder Engagement:
 Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the CEO in a
professional and timely manner.
 Support the planning and execution of high-profile meetings and events
involving funders, partners, and supporters.

Office and Project Support:
 Assist in the delivery and tracking of cross-organisational projects led by
the CEO.
 Coordinate Leadership meetings including preparing agendas, papers
and monitoring progress against the annual plan
 Coordinate the reporting from strategic working groups to monitor
progresses against objectives
 Coordinate and prepare assurance documents including the Risk
Register, CEO report and regulatory or compliance documents, as
required
 Provide occasional support to the senior management team, as required
 Undertake any other duties as the organisation may reasonably require.
 Attend and contribute to team meetings and 'away days' and be an
active, invested member of our team
 Able to work flexibly, including working occasional evenings.

We are looking for a highly capable and discreet Executive Assistant to support the
CEO and Deputy CEO and who will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation
of the charity’s governance framework. The successful candidate will provide
executive-level administrative support, coordinate the Board and Committee cycles,
and act as a central communication point between the CEO, Board members, senior
leadership team, and external stakeholders. This is an exciting and pivotal role at the

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive person to join our small yet ambitious fundraising and communications team at Cherry Trees as Fundraising Assistant. Whilst support and administration are at the heart of this role, you will play a key role in supporting the team across all fundraising areas and could be a great opportunity for someone looking to take their first steps into fundraising and/or administration. About Cherry Trees

Cherry Trees provides home from home care for children with complex disabilities and a meaningful break for their families across Surrey and the surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities

1. Fundraising

• To be the first point of contact for all fundraising enquiries that come in by telephone, email, post, and in person.
• Support the team by recording and sending fundraising materials to those raising money for us through events and challenge event.
• Ensure communications such as letters, certificates and emails are processed in an appropriate and timely manner.
• Provide support to the events, community, partnerships, and individual giving teams and their programmes of activity.
• To develop a good understanding of fundraising activity and to maintain the processes behind registration and online giving platforms such as JustGiving, Benevity, CAF, MuchLoved etc.
• Monitoring and replenishment of office supplies.
• Help to actively promote participation in our fundraising events and activities.
• When necessary, support the communications team with marketing, social media, mailing activity.
• Other general fundraising and administration duties, as and when required to ensure the smooth running of the department including assisting in other team projects when they arise.
• To represent Cherry Trees on occasion at community events or other activity, and being flexible and willing to travel and attend events outside normal office hours (time off in lieu given).
• Support volunteer recruitment and management.

2. Finance

• To ensure all donations/payments are processed and recorded on the fundraising database accurately and within the appropriate time frame, and supporters are thanked in a timely manner.
• To take donations over the phone or guide donors to make their donation online.
• To process the weekly fundraising income and financial reconciliation (training will be provided).

3. Stewardship

• Provide excellent support and stewardship to our supporters, challenge event participants, individual givers, community supporters and volunteers.
• Build, manage and maintain rewarding relationships with existing and new supporters and colleagues and teams across Cherry Trees with a ‘friendly-face’ approach.

4. Information Management and other

• Using the fundraising database (Donorfy) ensure all activity and correspondence is recorded accurately, as well as supporting our team’s financial processes and data export needs (training will be provided).
• Be responsible for ensuring all records are added/maintained/updated on the fundraising database, and ensuring all contact preferences such as unsubscribes are updated accurately and in a timely manner.
• To develop an in-depth knowledge of the database to be the go-to person, and identify opportunities to support your own activity and that of the team.
• Continuously aim to improve the efficiency of administration processes necessary for the smooth running of the fundraising department.
• Create/update how-to guides within your area of responsibility.
• GDPR compliance - ensure supporter data is handled in line with GDPR, maintaining accurate records, respecting communication preferences, and supporting data protection procedures.
• To undertake other reasonable activities as required by your line manager or the Head of Fundraising & Communications.
