This is an exciting opportunity to join our service supporting Carers across City of London to improve their health and wellbeing, and access support that meets their needs. We are working with Carers from a range of cultures, and it would be an advantage to speak Bengali.
The team work holistically with Carers to understand their individual circumstances and level of need. You’ll carry out home visits and community-based meetings, co-produce support plans, and develop effective relationships with Carers, families, and professionals. You will also support Carers to complete written forms and applications, draft letters, and advocate with third parties.
You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will also support the development of escalation plans so that Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.
Together with colleagues, you will plan and deliver the service’s activity package, including coffee mornings, drop-in sessions, activities, online and face to face groups, and peer support forums. There will also be opportunities to promote the service by attending meetings and forums, and to deliver training sessions to professionals and community organisations so that they have the skills to identify Carers.
Applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Carers and/or vulnerable adults or children in a social care, health, education or voluntary and community sector.
This is a full-time position, and you should be an excellent communicator and able to motivate and empower others. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services.

Operations – People and General:

The Role
The Finance & Operations Coordinator is a central position in a small, purpose-driven team. The role provides direct support to the Managing Director and works closely with the Finance Committee to ensure that the charity’s financial and operational systems are well managed, compliant and effective.

The Role

Operating Hours and Shift Pattern
Position will be 7am to 3pm/ 8am – 4pm, Monday – Friday and occasional Saturdays on a rota basis.
Flexibility is required to provide cover for planned and ad-hoc absences as well as Public and Bank Holidays is highly desirable in this role and also offers the opportunity for additional hours to supplement the core hours.

You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Unpaid Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will also support the development of escalation plans so that Unpaid Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.
This is a 9 months fixed-term opportunity and applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Unpaid Carers and/or vulnerable adults or children in a relevant sector. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Unpaid Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services. Experience of working in mental health or dementia services would be an advantage.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and strengthen IRMO’s Volunteer Scheme as part of our Education, Training and Employment (ETE) programme. Volunteers play a vital role in achieving IRMO’s mission, and this position is central to ensuring that our volunteer initiatives both empower community members through meaningful work experience and enhance IRMO’s capacity to deliver impactful services to the community.
The Volunteer Scheme Coordinator will be responsible for managing all aspects of volunteering at IRMO — from recruitment and training to ongoing support and development. They will champion volunteering internally and externally while fostering opportunities for volunteers to learn, grow and make a tangible difference in the lives of others. Working closely with the ETE Programme Manager, the post will also be expected to develop partnerships and volunteering roles that support IRMO’s vision, values and strategic objectives.

The Development office was established in February 2025 in order to raise funds for facilities and activities which are over and above what is possible through state funding alone. The Development Director has begun building relationships with alumni, parents, companies and Trusts/Foundations and this is a fantastic opportunity to join the team in a new role in order to further grow fundraising for the College.
