But we're not done yet. We're looking for someone with a genuine interest in this area, with medical, health, NHS, and research experience to join our team. You'll be responsible for developing and executing our strategy to engage with the medical community, research organisations, NHS policymakers, and our community as a whole.

You'll lead multiple projects, collaborating with doctors to better understand and define our community, as well as initiating and executing new projects. And with your expertise, you'll ensure that all our communications are evidence-based and informative.

You will lead a team of passionate volunteers and interns, working closely with our Operations Director to drive our mission forward. One of your key responsibilities will be to nurture and grow our Medical Advisory Panel, working hand-in-hand with supportive doctors and medical institutions. You'll be the face of the charity, representing us in all our interactions with these key stakeholders.

You’ll report directly to our trustee board, ensuring that all of our activities are aligned with our overall strategy and goals.

Last year 786,574 people were offered information and support from Victim Support. As a Service Delivery Volunteer you will provide specialist support services for people affected by crime.

 Volunteering with Victim Support in West Midlands

As a Volunteer your role will include:

• Contacting services users to conduct a needs assessment, identifying service user needs and services to be delivered
• Deliver the appropriate services consisting of emotional and practical support
• Signpost to other organisations where needed, and complete onward referrals where consent has been obtained from the victim. 
• Advocate for service users with other organisations where appropriate e.g. with the police, housing associations etc.

What do we ask of you?

In order to join us as a Service Delivery Volunteer, you must:

• Be 18 years of age or over.
• Be able to volunteer for at least 3 hours per week, for at least 12 months.
• Undertake training over a 10-week period – this includes five virtual training days as well as completing a workbook and online learning modules.
• Undertake an enhanced DBS check & be part of the DBS update service.
• Be able to provide two satisfactory references.

Have an active email address that you are comfortable using in order to engage with VS communications. 

Expenses

• All Victim Support volunteers are entitled to out-of-pocket expenses incurred whilst volunteering, including travel and lunch.

Founded in 2003 and originally named Andrea’s Gift and later Brain Tumour Research and Support

Across Yorkshire, Yorkshire’s Brain Tumour Charity (YBTC) is Yorkshire and Humber’s leading

brain tumour charity. Offering practical, financial and emotional support to both adult and child

brain tumour patients, together with their families.

We fund brain tumour research in Yorkshire; we hope this research, dedicated to identifying new

approaches to the discovery and treatment of brain tumours will improve outcomes for patients.

At YBTC we are a small team who are growing to meet the needs of those affected by a brain

tumour in Yorkshire. Around 15 new cases of primary brain tumours are diagnosed in the region

every week.

Volunteer General Manager – Lead the Movement at MINDSET Charity

Your Role: General Manager (Volunteer)

As our General Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind MINDSET’s launch and growth. Working closely with our Board of Trustees and volunteer team, you’ll shape strategy, build partnerships, and lead operations with heart and purpose.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the charity’s strategic direction and day-to-day operations.

• Build and manage a passionate volunteer team.

• Oversee programme delivery, fundraising, and outreach.

• Ensure financial sustainability and regulatory compliance.

• Represent MINDSET publicly and build strong community relationships.

Who We’re Looking For

• Proven leadership experience (charity or commercial welcome).

• Strategic thinker with operational know-how.

• Passionate about men’s mental health and personal development.

• Excellent communicator and relationship-builder.

• Self-starter with resilience and vision.

• Able to commit approx. 8-15 hours/week (flexible).

Admin Support Volunteer – Keep the Heart of MINDSET Beating

Your Role: Admin Support Volunteer (Remote)

You’ll be the organisational backbone of MINDSET, helping with day-to-day admin tasks that keep the charity running. Whether it’s managing emails or coordinating schedules, your work will help us stay connected and effective.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and respond to emails with warmth and professionalism.

• Schedule meetings, workshops, and volunteer onboarding sessions.

• Organise documents and maintain digital filing systems.

• Support communications between trustees, volunteers, and partners.

• Help streamline internal processes and improve efficiency.

Who We’re Looking For

• Organised, reliable, and detail-oriented.

• Comfortable with email, calendars, and basic document tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, etc.).

• Passionate about mental health, inclusion, and grassroots change.

• Approx. 2–6 hours/week(flexible and remote-friendly).

What will you actually do?

• Visit and connect with someone through shared stories, hobbies, or simple conversation.

• Help signpost helpful local services and resources.
