Role Summary 

Bliss is the UK’s leading national charity for babies born premature or sick, and we are looking for a Digital Programme Lead to join our skilled and creative team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to take responsibility for developing, coordinating and overseeing the delivery of Bliss’ digital activities. This role works with colleagues across the organisation to ensure Bliss’ digital activities are delivered in line with Bliss’ strategic priorities, as well as being able to innovate and make the most of potential new technological or digital opportunities. The Digital Programme Lead will provide effective line management and support to the Digital Officer to ensure Bliss’ day to day digital operations are running smoothly
 

• Location: Hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days over 2 weeks worked in our London Bridge office
• Salary: £40,000 FTE (pro rata)
• Terms: 25-28 hours a week, 12-month fixed term contract starting mid-late Sept 2025

Role Details

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to take on the overall management of digital activity at Bliss, leading the Digital Team to deliver all core activities to maintain existing channels and services as well as leading the cross-team approach to planning and delivering digital innovation and improvement.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

•Significant experience in digital project management, agile working and the delivery of a website and other digital products and services
•Proven experience of digital innovation and a creative approach to finding solutions and solving technical issues
•Significant experience and understanding of user research / testing, and of managing agencies conducting this on our behalf; as well as co-creating digital products and services with users
•Up-to-date knowledge of digital trends and ability and appetite to keep up to date with advances in these as well as experience of translating these into proven digital enhancements

     -Expertise in website CMS and a range of digital technologies
     -Utilising search engine optimisation to increase the targeted traffic

You will provide leadership to a team of fundraisers and secure transformational funding from philanthropic supporters to ensure Pancreatic Cancer UK can deliver its strategy to double survival rates of pancreatic cancer. In this role you will:

• Lead the growth of a robust pipeline of prospects with capacity to give significantly, working with key stakeholders to solicit and close asks as necessary.
• Work collaboratively with senior leadership to maximise high value fundraising opportunities and further a culture of philanthropy within the organisation.
• Be responsible for leading the development and delivery of the philanthropy fundraising strategy.

About You 

• Proven experience as a philanthropy fundraiser, with a strong track record of securing 6-figure gifts from philanthropic supporters.
• Proven experience of developing the skills of a fundraising team.
• Proven experience of building and delivering a major donor fundraising growth strategy.

The role

We’re seeking a Research Officer to join our fantastic Research team following an internal promotion within the team.

• You will be ensuring that the management of funding rounds is robust, coordinated, and delivered to the highest possible quality, and that the funding rounds we offer address key needs of the research and patient community.
• You will be responsible for managing key stakeholders in the grant funding process, including applicants, award holders and committee members to organise key events.
• You will be liaising with researchers and people with lived experience of pancreatic cancer to coordinate meaningful internal and external public and patient involvement (PPI) through our Research Involvement Network.

• You will need sound knowledge of research principles and the UK research funding environment.

Key tasks

Communications (60% of time)

• Deliver engaging communications across social media, media outlets, newsletters, and publications by leading on ECHO’s Communications Plan and content creation.

Administration (40% of time)

The Centre for Ageing Better is looking for a talented Deputy Director to lead on work, retirement and transitions. This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following stroke. We are looking for an innovative, passionate, and professional individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to join the Stroke Recovery Service based in Fylde Coast.

Position: S11283 Stroke Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based/Fylde Coast. However, extensive travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Salary: Circa £27,400 per annum

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week

Contract: Permanent. Services are contracted, we currently have funding for this contract until 31 March 2026.

The Role

Reporting to the Service Delivery Coach, you will have the ability to support stroke survivors to identify their goals. Using strong assessment skills and a person-centred approach enabling them to maximise their recovery and improve communication.

• Supporting new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.

You will play a pivotal role in planning, organising, and executing a diverse range of events, providing the best possible experience to some of the charity’s most committed donors through a mixture of bespoke events, engagement events, and as we steer towards starting to do income-generating events.

The special events coordinator will support the special events manager in creating and managing an exceptional events programme to underpin major donor fundraising, supporting portfolio managers to successfully engage prospects and donors. You will be a creative and innovative thinker, dynamic and experienced in organising events from concept to delivery. You will be confident and comfortable working in an ambitious and busy team that is driven to provide a high level of supporter care and excellent and exciting events.

Principal responsibilities

Event planning and coordination

· Develop event concepts and themes, create detailed event plans, and coordinate all logistical aspects of events of events falling within the remit of this role.

· Work closely with the philanthropy and campaigns team to design and implement special events that maximise fundraising potential.

Stewardship events

· Plan and manage events to acknowledge and appreciate donors, facilitating their continued support and engagement with the charity.

Engagement activities

· Organise and execute events that foster engagement and increase awareness of the charity's mission and goals.  

Supporting the new cancer campaign

· Prepare for campaign events in support of a £50m campaign for a ground-breaking cancer centre on the Royal Free Hospital site.

Vendor management

· Whether on-site at one of our hospitals or at an external venue, take responsibility for sourcing, negotiating, and managing relationships with vendors, including caterers, suppliers, and on-site partners.

Budget management

· Create and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining high-quality standards.  

Communications and promotion

· Collaborate with the communications team to develop promotional materials and strategies to maximise event attendance and engagement.  

RSVP management

· Managing the RSVP mailbox, ensuring timely and accurate responses to event invitations and queries.

Database management

· Maintain and update event-related databases, ensuring accurate records of participants, donors, and sponsors.  

Relationship management

· Act as the main point of contact for colleagues, donors, and contractors, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the event planning and delivery process.

Portfolio manager support

· Assist portfolio managers in engaging with prospects and donors effectively, providing event-related insights and facilitating meaningful connections.  

On-site coordination

· Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring all elements are in place and events run smoothly.  

Post-event evaluation

· Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.  

Oversight and responsibility

· Manage risk assessment, risk management, and first aid training to ensure the safety and well-being of all event participants.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications

· No specific qualifications are required, but a good level of numeracy and literacy is essential.

Experience

Essential 

· Significant events delivery experience, ideally within the not-for-profit sector.

· Proven track record in developing and managing events on time and ensuring it is in line with budget (managed by the special events manager) achieving key performance indicators and receiving positive feedback from guests.

· Evidence of using outstanding planning skills to deliver complex projects.   

· Experience of setting, monitoring and managing targets, objectives, KPIs and activity plans.  

Desirable 

· Experience of leading on the creation and implementation of innovative events that are tailored towards a specific audience’s interests.

Skills and knowledge

· A keen interest in the fundraising sector, with a desire to learn and grow in the role.

· Excellent interpersonal skills and excellent ability to negotiate and achieve objectives.  

· Strong communication skills with an excellent eye for detail.   

· Highly numerate with the ability develop and monitor against budgets.   

· Detailed understanding of the events sector and appropriate techniques and approaches for a major donor audience.   

· Understanding of major donor fundraising and the role events can play in successful cultivation of relationships (ideally learned through direct experience).

· Ability to contribute to a collaborative and agile team, enabling others to learn and deliver and celebrating successes.   

· Excellent IT skills, including a thorough knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Fundraising databases (Raiser’s Edge preferred).

The team

Our dynamic fundraising department generated £4.5m through donations in 2023/24, and we are now preparing for an ambitious multi-million-pound campaign in support of a ground-breaking cancer centre on the site of the Royal Free Hospital.

Responsible for attracting and retaining donors, and delivering an outstanding supporter experience, the fundraising department comprises two teams which work closely together to achieve our shared objectives:

·Our philanthropy & campaigns team builds relationships with individual philanthropists, trusts, foundations, corporate organisations and intermediaries, giving or facilitating donations of £10,000 or more to the charity each year. They lead major appeal activity for the charity, currently focused on our forthcoming cancer campaign, the charity’s first patron programme, and special events to support these activities.

·Our public fundraising team harnesses the support and energy of individuals and groups, helping them to give back in the way that works for them. This includes committed giving, in memory support, gifts in wills, and fundraising events and challenges.

·Our database and supporter care colleagues underpin and support the entire department.

Purpose of the role 

The purpose of this role is to increase the fundraising capability of The Vitiligo Society and secure the income we need to deliver our support to those affected by vitiligo. It is part of our new fundraising strategy.

Reporting to the Charity Director you will take the lead on establishing a fundraising programme. You will also support our community and membership fundraising, recruiting and supporting volunteer fundraisers and helping to improve and maintain our membership & donation processes.

Your Experience

We are looking for a candidate who has a background in charity fundraising, in particular community, Trust and Foundation fundraising.

Key responsibilities

Fundraising from Trusts and Foundations

Leading on applications to trusts and foundations with input from the Charity Director and delivery teams as needed, incl:

• Writing and submitting high quality applications to trusts and foundations that reflect The Vitiligo Society  and our members' stories.

• Researching potential charitable trusts and foundations to approach for funding.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with key personnel in relevant funding organisations.

• Support monitoring and evaluation and coordinate relevant reporting to funders.

• Establishing and maintaining a funders database within our existing CRM system.

Community Fundraising

• Assisting with improving the processes for donations from individuals.

• Working in cooperation with the staff, trustees and volunteers to develop and deliver up to 3 fundraising campaigns per year (a minimum of 1).

• Recruiting and supporting community volunteers to undertake fundraising activities.

Other Fundraising

• Working with the Charity Director to develop the organisation’s Trusts and Community fundraising strategy.

• Assist with the development of a corporate fundraising strategy as appropriate.

People Management

• Responsible for the admission welcome including assess new referrals, interviewing potential Companions, welfare and care of Companions, their integration into the Emmaus Community and the wider community at large, developing a sense of extended family.
• Lead and implement a culture which provides confidentiality, promotes professional boundaries, protects data, and safeguards Companions, Volunteers and staff.
• To manage support relating to Companion’s needs regarding their daily living requirements, physical and mental health, safety and personal development.
• To assist and encourage Companions to move into independent accommodation where appropriate
• Ensure that effective Safeguarding systems are in place and maintained, acting as the organisation’s Designated Safeguarding Person, with delegated responsibility for policy development, implementation, and reporting.
• Working in partnership with the Retail Manager, facilitate, encourage, and support companion engagement and training within the social enterprises to ensure they are viable businesses.
• Assist the Multi Site Property and Facilities Manager in the upkeep and maintenance of the Community, to ensure that it provides a pleasant and comfortable home for the Companions, whilst adhering to health and safety requirements.

SPEAR is a lifeline to hundreds of people each year who are experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness across six London boroughs. We provide essential outreach support, a variety of accommodation options, tenancy support services and vital health programmes. In 2024 we supported 804 people experiencing homelessness. This included 466 people found rough sleeping, 227 people in accommodation-based and floating support and 84 young people aged 16-25.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Fundraising Manager to lead and grow our corporate giving and partnerships income stream. Corporate Giving at SPEAR comprises just over 20% of our fundraised income, with a mix of direct giving, local COY partnerships and employee fundraising. This is a key role within the Fundraising and Engagement team, responsible for developing and managing relationships with corporate partners to generate sustainable income and deepen engagement with SPEAR’s mission.
