As our HyPE Manager you will set up, embed and lead the implementation of Voyage’s Horizons Youth Programme for the Environment, a pioneering employability, mentoring and wellbeing programme combining a weekly Job Club, renewable energy and green-skills training, construction pathways and embedded therapeutic support linked to employment opportunities delivered in partnership with Repowering London, New city College and Talking Quest. 

The postholder will oversee recruitment, delivery and progression impact and outcomes for young people (16–21) from New City College, PRUs, Youth Offending Teams, courts, social workers and local schools, ensuring they are supported into education, apprenticeships, training or work. We are currently exploring expansion possibilities for the long term unemployed, as an alternative to custody and for refugee communities. We seek someone who can help embed the programme in the community college and assist our plans to expand.

About Exams
The Examinations Department at the Royal College of Pathologists is responsible for the planning, delivery, and quality assurance of all College examinations, including the Fellowship (FRCPath), Diploma, Certificate, and BMS examinations, as well as the Fellowship by Published Works.
Our dedicated team manages every stage of the examination process - from question setting and quality control to candidate communication, examiner support, and regulatory compliance. Working collaboratively, we ensure that all examinations are delivered efficiently, securely, and to the highest standard of integrity.

About you

St Peters West Molesey is one of twelve VCSE partners delivering Surrey’s Changing Futures / Bridge the Gap service. Bridge the Gap supports people experiencing multiple disadvantage—including homelessness, rough sleeping, mental and physical health challenges, substance use, domestic abuse, offending behaviours, and other safeguarding concerns.

Using a holistic, trauma-informed and person-centred approach, we walk side by side with clients to help them stabilise their lives, regain control, and achieve meaningful change.

The Role

We are looking for a compassionate, motivated Bridge the Gap Practitioner to provide intensive outreach support to single people who are rough sleeping, homeless, or at risk of homelessness. Each individual is unique, and your work will reflect their personal goals, strengths, hopes, and aspirations.

You will build trusting relationships, co-produce person-centred plans (“My Story, Strengths and Hopes”), and offer practical, emotional, and advocacy support. Alongside system partners and multi-agency teams, you’ll help clients access the services they need to move towards stability and wellbeing.

This role includes reflective practice and clinical supervision with our resident Clinical Psychologist, ensuring your own wellbeing is prioritised.

What you’ll be doing …

Our Head of Events (HoE) will bring leadership and strategic vision to the Society’s Events team encompassing scientific conferences, venue hire, and training courses, working to deliver the business plan and achieve targets for this active, income-generating department.

This role will be responsible for supporting the six-strong team in delivery of our busy events programme, working effectively with conference convenors, and providing exemplary support to our delegates, venue users, sponsors, and clients throughout the year. Working closely with the Director of Science & Engagement, our new HoE will work to develop robust and diverse income streams for the Society from our events as well as sponsorship and will oversee the expansion of our venue hire provision into new markets (e.g. weddings) in addition to seizing other opportunities for growth.

Overall responsibilities / requirements …

Management & Leadership:

• Shape and lead the Events team to deliver top-quality leadership and coordination of our events programmes and customer service for both internal users and external clients
• Continue to support a commercial approach to income generation across the Events department, to support revenue growth and diversification across sectors
• Grow event sponsorship, proactively identifying sponsorship opportunities and supporting the team, convenors, and others to become more confident in developing sponsor relationships and securing sponsorship income.
• Grow and nurture relationships with Fellows and external partners

This role supports residents in temporary housing who are facing challenges with substance use. You'll play a hands on role in supporting individuals facing addiction, homelessness, and complex needs guiding them towards stability, independence, and brighter futures.

The service focuses on providing a 24 hour, 25 bed accommodation service to residents who are deemed to be high risk. They support those who are experiencing homelessness. All admissions are jointly agreed, and placements reviewed at a weekly Complex Needs Panel chaired by the local authority. Residents are agreed on the basis that they are:

• Overseeing support related to substance misuse, ensuring effective interventions and pathways for service users
• Line Management and Leadership, supporting your team providing advice, guidance and support throughout their employment lifecycle

• Providing additional support to the Fundraising team as and when required.
• Successful delivery of a high-quality volunteering programme that meets Foundation and Club objectives.
• Positive feedback from volunteers, partners and staff, with evidence of impact shared.
• Managing multiple work streams and requests, demonstrating good judgement to prioritise these.

You’ll have: (Experience)

 Experience:

• Experience in managing or coordinating volunteers, preferably within a charity, community or sport setting.
• A strong track record in successful project management and programme delivery.
• Experience building and managing relationships with diverse stakeholders, ideally including charity and corporate partners.
• Experience in effective administration and management of competing priorities.
• Strong organisational and administration skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, able to engage and inspire a wide range of audiences.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative, which contributing as part of a team.
• Strong project management skills, able to manage multiple priorities, tasks, correspondence and deadlines.
• Professional, discrete and able to handle confidential information appropriately.
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of written and IT literacy (MS Office).
