The role

As Partner Engagement Manager you will promote the work of Family Fund and maintain a positive profile within the disability sector in Northern Ireland and with key Government/political stakeholders.

You will undertake a range of public affairs and policy activities that help sustain and grow our government funding and that secure positive outcomes for disabled children and their families. You will be acknowledged as a senior Family Fund representative across the disability sector, deputising for the Group CEO, or Directors on committees and at events as required.

You will also identify growth/income opportunities and feed through to relevant internal teams, providing follow up support, as required.

If you join us, you’ll be:

• Ensuring that Family Fund’s profile remains high amongst key organisations.
• Engaging with Ministers and MLAs to building awareness and support for Family Fund’s work.
• Family Fund’s key point of contact for all partners and stakeholders in Northern Ireland.
• Engaging in sector working groups and consortia to help secure improved support for families raising disabled children.
• Inputting to government policy development via consultations and direct work with government departments.
• Promoting the support offered by Family Fund to support demand generation, including targeted work in relation to our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion objectives.
• Supporting our Fundraising Team in identifying and securing funding opportunities that allow Family Fund to provide improved grants/information and support services to families.

About you 

For this role you will need to have experience of presenting to external stakeholders and representing an organisation in a professional capacity. Ideally you will have some knowledge/experience of public affairs or policy development work.

To be successful in this role you will need to be self-motivated and be able to engage positively with different teams. You must be flexible, adaptable and resilient to work demands and change. This post is home based with regular travel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management: Maintain the integrity of financial records for the charity and its members.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts as required.
• Account Management: Prepare quarterly management accounts and year-end accounts, including pre-payments, accruals, and journal entries.
• Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile all balance sheet accounts on the management accounts.
• Audit Preparation: Liaise with external auditors to prepare year-end statutory accounts.
• Treasury Management: Manage surplus funds efficiently.
• Payroll & HMRC Compliance: Prepare and manage monthly payroll and pension payments, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.
• Policy Review: Conduct an annual review of ESC’s finance policies and procedures.
• Governance & Reporting: Attend trustee meetings and monthly operations board meetings as required.
• Sage Management: Ensure integrity of Sage accounting software.
• Charity Compliance: Submit annual returns to the Charity Commission and Companies House.
• Project Support: Lead ad hoc financial projects as needed.
• Event Support: Volunteer at ESC events, supporting fundraising and engagement activities.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5 years of experience in management accounting.
• ACA/ACCA qualification (or equivalent) preferable.
• Experience in charity finance preferred.
• Proficiency in Sage, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong numeracy and accuracy skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively.

In our main SANEline Support Officer position, you will help our service to provide support by telephone, email and text, as well as supporting a team of our skilled volunteer. SANEline is a confidential service open 365 days per year, providing support to service users with a wide range of mental health problems.

This is a Bank role of 2-3 shifts per week, including some weekend work, with working hours of 2.30-10.30pm, on-site at our London office.

We are working in partnership with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust to deliver the Bromley Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub (BMHWH). This forms part of the transformation of mental health services in the London Borough of Bromley under the NHS Long Term Plan. The service brings together the expertise of local primary, secondary and voluntary sector mental health care providers with the aim of providing flexible, holistic and integrated services for adults with mental health problems.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Peer Support Coordinator to join the BMHWH. This role will support the development and delivery of mental health peer support, as part of the BMHWH service, across the London Borough of Bromley. You will be responsible for coordinating and supporting our team of Peer Support Volunteers, ensuring safe and effective delivery of peer-led services. You'll work with the Senior Peer Support Coordinator to meet targets, develop and deliver group programmes, and oversee volunteer recruitment, training, and supervision. This will involve working closely with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust colleagues.

The role requires strong communication across BMHWH teams and includes responsibility for dealing with safeguarding situations that may arise in your groups. You'll also provide some direct, person-centred support to clients, drawing on your lived experience. Accurate record-keeping and outcome monitoring are essential. Occasional out-of-hours work and covering for team colleagues is required.

At Young Lives vs Cancer, we have our own unique role to play in reaching the North Star. We know our strengths and where we can have the most impact to best support children and young people with cancer. Within our new strategy ‘The Time is Now’ we set out four strategic ambitions, the first stating we will continue to be a major service delivery provider: offering high quality, impactful services. We are proud to lead the way in delivering high-level, psychosocial support and accommodation services throughout cancer treatment, end-of-life, and bereavement and we want to ensure our investment in this area is optimised to make sure we always provide the tailored support that children, young people and families need and that our services remain relevant.

You will be joining an established operational leadership team who are committed to continuous service improvement. Service Managers play a key leadership role in the management and development of a region, which is made up of three social work teams located alongside Principal Treatment Centres which are Leeds, Newcastle and Sheffield. Your responsibilities will include delivering service standards, and compliance. You will interface with NHS stakeholder colleagues to promote effective governance and multi-disciplinary relationships with a focus on smooth referral pathways. The team meets weekly to discuss management of the overall service-this effectively allows all team members to play an active role. The BDA is seeking a new Research Manager to work as part of the Education and Professional Practice Team, leading on the research and impact activities of professional dietetic practice. The role will also provide line management within the team.

The role will support the BDA’s Strategic Plan 2024-34 and lead the growth and delivery of the annual Research Symposium. The role will suit a candidate with a sound understanding and experience of the breadth of dietetic practice and research, and the factors that influence it. Working innovatively the post holder will develop and progress research within dietetic practice, building confidence in the dietetic workforce to be research active.  

 Ideal candidate:

We are looking for somebody who is an expert in research methodologies, and appraisal and is comfortable setting and influencing research strategy.  Ideally we would like somebody who has or is studying for their doctorate in dietetics and experience working in a practice setting would be advantageous. This is a senior internal and external facing role working alongside the Director of Education Practice and Research, and the Education and Practice Managers. The candidate will enjoy supporting colleagues and members to engage and deliver research related projects, and demonstrate impact through evidence-based practice.

About the role 

As our Health & Safety Manager, you will handle the development, implementation, and ongoing management of our Health & Safety systems. You will act as the organisation’s competent person, providing expert advice and guidance, ensuring compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and related legislation. 

You will monitor changes in legislation and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement. This includes regularly reviewing and updating Health & Safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments. You will offer practical, accessible advice to colleagues and support them in embedding safe working practices into their day-to-day activities. 

In addition, you will develop and deliver mandatory training programmes, as well as tailored sessions to meet emerging needs. You will manage all incident reporting processes, including RIDDOR notifications to the Health & Safety Executive (HSE), and ensure thorough follow-up. You will also produce regular reports and briefings for senior leadership and Trustees to keep them informed of key issues, trends, and compliance levels. 

This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary on behalf of Sustrans. 

About you 

You should hold a NEBOSH qualification or another recognised Health & Safety certification, with proven experience in managing a system for Health & Safety within an organisation. A strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and supporting regulations is essential, along with specific knowledge of Health & Safety considerations within the construction sector.

A Global Citizens’ Assembly for COP30 to be launched in Brazil in November is the key opportunity to pilot Assemblis. We are about to test a minimum viable product (functional prototype) with small sets of global users, and are looking for someone who can lead the iteration process, with the goal of an alpha launch in Climate Week in September.

About the role

King’s Global Health Partnerships (KGHP) initiated a long-term partnership with Arthur Davison Children’s Hospital and Ndola Teaching hospital, in Ndola province, Zambia. Work in Zambia has focused on maternal and newborn health, breast cancer surgery, antimicrobial stewardship and health worker wellbeing.

KGHP is based within the School of Life Course & Population Sciences. The School of Life Course & Population Sciences is one of five Schools that make up the Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine at King’s College London. The School unites experts across 5 departments, Women and Children’s health, Nutritional Sciences, Population Health Sciences, Ophthalmology and Twins & Genetic Epidemiology, overall covering the complexities of life course health & disease from individual cells molecular genetics to whole population level.

About the role

We are looking for a Programme Manager to lead on the management of our current programme activities in Somaliland and Zambia. The role will lead on the management of various grants/ projects within our Somaliland and Zambia partnerships as well as strengthening our partnership approaches in these two countries. The role will be responsible for project closeout, startup of new projects secured as well as developing new funding proposals to support the aims as set out in our partnership and organisational strategies.
