The Role

The Head of Partnerships and Fundraising is responsible for the majority of income generation for our charity. The Switch raises income from corporate volunteering partnerships and through grant applications to other trusts and charities, which together contribute circa £800,000 per year. This is a role that requires strategic thinking, relationship and negotiation skills, and the ability to meet income targets.

This role will manage and grow our current key corporate partners, ensuring sustainability and longevity in our partnerships. The person will be responsible for communicating effectively with corporate partners on a strategic level, to understand how we can improve our volunteering offer and communicate impact to their business.

The job-holder will seek new partnerships in diverse industries where we have fewer stakeholders, to ensure our young people work with companies and volunteers from wide-ranging sectors.

In this position you will scope fundraising opportunities from grant and trusts, and be adept at assessing our viability so that applications we submit have a higher rate of success than average.

As Head of Partnerships and Fundraising, you will create new income streams which The Switch has not considered before, for example legacy funding, individual giving, corporate match funding. This will improve our financial stability.

In addition to income generation, this role will lead the Partnerships team and manage two to three staff as follows :

1. Our Corporate Partnerships and Volunteer Manager - oversees all volunteer logistics, including maintaining volunteer records and distributing relevant briefing materials to ensure volunteers are well-prepared for their role. Some time dedicated to fundraising too.

2. Our Communication Coordinator – leads on our regular comms including our digital newsletter, social media pages, and bespoke comms for projects or funders.

3. Coordinator TBC.

Details

· The Head of Partnerships and Fundraising leads the Partnerships Team and reports to the CEO.

· Working hours are typically 9am – 5pm Monday – Thursday, and 9am – 4pm Fridays.

· Working from home (WFH) is typically 2 days a week, with Wednesdays mandatory in the office.

· Flexibility will be required to cover meetings or events outside of these hours and WFH days.

What is a HR Business Partner?

As a HR Business Partner, you will serve as a partner to the organisation's leadership and provide comprehensive HR support to drive business objectives, enhance our colleague experience and continually evolve our organisational effectiveness. You will collaborate with various stakeholders within your specific locations responsibilities, including our senior leadership, centre management, to develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs aligned with the company's goals and values.

A large part of the role will be based around managing employee relations with your key stakeholders. About You

You will be CIPD (ideally level 7 qualified) or have relevant HR experience. Reporting to the UK HR Manager, you will be working within the HR department, working closely with other members of the HR team and Operational teams within the regions.

About the role

The Passage’s philanthropy portfolio has grown significantly over the last three years through dedicated relationship management and compelling applications that have brought to life the fantastic work and outcomes achieved by The Passage’s services. Main duties

• Lead relationships with a portfolio of trusts, foundations, and other grant-making bodies to establish a robust pipeline of sustainable income.
• Provide effective stewardship of existing trust donors and prospects to ensure repeat gifts and to increase support where relevant.
• Create innovative opportunities and develop funding proposals that match funding opportunities to The Passage’s range of services.

Here's what the team will be looking for:

The ideal candidate will be highly literate and numerate, with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. They will bring proven experience in building and managing relationships with high-value donors, successfully stewarding individuals to secure five- and six-figure gifts. They will have a strong track record in developing and delivering individual giving and donor stewardship campaigns, as well as managing complex, cross-team projects and leading people, whether through formal line management or working with volunteers.

The candidate will be organised, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines. They will have strong digital skills, including confident use of CRM and email marketing systems, along with MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. With a creative and innovative approach to fundraising, they will also have a solid understanding of data protection legislation (GDPR) and safeguarding principles. Importantly, they will demonstrate empathy and alignment with Hestia's mission, supporting individuals affected by domestic abuse, modern slavery, and mental health challenges.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been creating life-changing partnerships between hearing dogs and deaf recipients since 1982. As well as acting as an ear to their partners and alerting them to sounds, the charity’s clever and expertly trained dogs help deaf people to live life with confidence and independence, whilst providing love, companionship and emotional support.

Following on from a strategic review, the charity is now looking to build a new Income Generation Directorate, to enable them to transform many more lives across the UK. This role will be critical to help Hearing Dogs reach their goals to diversify income, expand their portfolio and accelerate income from mission-aligned businesses.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Partnerships, this role will take a lead on nurturing existing partnerships and developing new ones, with a specific focus on increasing income through employee engagement and payroll giving schemes. As Business Development Manager for our Community Services will focus and lead on:

RNID Near You is our national community-based service run by trained volunteers which offers:

· a hearing check and information on how to book a full hearing test.

· basic hearing aid repairs, cleaning, and advice on using hearing aids.

We are looking for a passionate and strategic Philanthropy Manager to help drive our mission to restore wildlife and create a world where nature thrives. This role is focused on raising vital funds from private individuals to support ZSL’s conservation work. The Senior Grants Officer will support the Finance Manager in maintaining the smooth running of grants and bursaries giving process. About the Role

We are recruiting a Manager to lead a remote team of IPS Grow Fidelity Reviewers working across England and Wales. The focus of the role is to support and develop Reviewers to have impact by delivering high quality Fidelity Reviews and communities of practice, driving quality of IPS provision and performance of delivery partners across England and Wales.

• Line management, coaching, and field mentoring of team

About You 

Skills, experience and qualifications we are looking for include:

• Managerial and leadership experience: Substantial experience managing teams and projects to successful delivery of performance expectations; leading by example and supporting the team to translate research into effective on the ground practice.
• Delivering tangible results in an IPS context: Previous background in an IPS leadership capacity; demonstrated ability to drive tangible improvements in outcomes for clients and work effectively with senior system stakeholders to unblock issues; deep understanding of the IPS model and how it applies in practice.

Course structure and requirements

The National Curriculum for High Intensity Psychotherapeutic Counselling within NHS Talking Therapies for anxiety and depression outlines the full details of the course structure. To summarise, the following outlines the key training requirements:  

· A 1-year core psychotherapeutic counselling foundation level training, which also introduces the chosen NHS Talking Therapies modality. Following sign off for readiness, trainees can begin to practice at West London Centre for Counselling with people with mild to moderate depression

· Followed by, a 2-year post-graduate diploma (PGDip) in psychotherapeutic counselling (minimum 120 credits at Level 7)

· A minimum of 450 supervised client hours gained within a NHS Talking Therapies service

· A minimum of 450 training hours (skills and theory)  

· A minimum of 50 personal therapy hours  

· A minimum of 90 minutes of training supervision to every six hours of client work (or the equivalent for group supervision), or 90 minutes per week if they have completed less than six hours of client work in the week

· NHS Talking Therapy services will be responsible for supervision on site, including oversight of case management, clinical governance and management supervision in line with the supervision requirements of the NHS Talking Therapies for anxiety and depression manual.

· An average of two to three days per week of clinical practice in NHS Talking Therapies services

· Individual accreditation (professional registration) with a professional body in line with the NHS Talking Therapies for anxiety and depression manual (see the manual for more details)

What the job involves

We’re looking for an Awareness, Engagement and Participation Senior Officer to join our Health Services, Equity and Improvement directorate.

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our work to raise awareness and build stronger connections with those most at risk of prostate cancer. You’ll support our community engagement and participation efforts, making sure the voices of men affected by prostate cancer, and those at risk, shape what we do and how we do it. A big part of the role involves working directly with individuals and communities, helping them feel empowered and supported to get involved and make a real impact.

You’ll be the main point of contact for involving patients in projects, manage the day-to-day running of our Patient Advisory Group, and oversee our community inbox to make sure requests are responded to quickly and effectively and help to triage support requests.

Working with volunteers is another key part of the role. You’ll recruit and guide volunteers raising awareness in their communities, helping to deliver onboarding, training and ongoing support. You’ll work closely with our Volunteer Experience team to ensure everyone has a positive and meaningful experience.

You’ll regularly attend community events and find impactful ways to share our messages – particularly with communities affected by health inequalities. You’ll also help measure and evaluate the impact of our awareness and engagement work.

This is a rewarding role where you’ll meet volunteers and supporters and see the impact of our work first-hand. Together, we’re raising awareness of prostate cancer, giving men the knowledge of their risk and the power to act on it.

What we want from you

To be successful in this role you’ll be passionate about public health, awareness raising and working with people with lived experience. Patient involvement is a core principle of our organisation so understanding how that can inform and shape the charity’s work is essential.

You’ll be an excellent communicator (both in person and in writing) and able to engage clearly across a range of channels and audiences. Strong project management skills are essential, as you’ll often be juggling different tasks and working with a range of people, including patient groups, volunteers and colleagues across the charity.

You’ll be comfortable building relationships with communities, volunteers and partners, and have a good understanding of how health inequalities affect access to healthcare. Experience of working directly with communities most affected by these inequalities will be a real advantage. You’ll also be able to think creatively about how to raise awareness and broaden participation beyond traditional volunteering roles.

It’s important that you can measure and evaluate the impact of engagement and involvement work, and that you bring a thoughtful, inclusive approach to everything you do.
