We hold weekly online peer support events via Zoom for individuals who have left high-control religious groups. These sessions provide a safe, facilitated space where participants can connect with others who share similar experiences. Each Thursday, from 19:00–20:00, a pair of facilitators lead a conversation on a relevant topic with a group of approximately 10 participants. The rota is flexible; volunteers are asked to commit to hosting or assisting the host at least once a month, and possibly every two weeks.

Who we are looking for
For this Safeguarding Lead Trustee role, we would welcome applications from interested individuals who have current strong understanding and experience of safeguarding legislation from within a children’s social care setting. The Chair of Trustees will:

As our Founding Creative Visual Producer / Ad Designer, you will produce clear, accessible, and emotionally responsible visual content to support digital campaigns, fundraising appeals, podcast promotion, and community education during our build and early growth phase.

Your work will translate complex and sensitive themes into ethical visual communication. You will help ensure that how people see the organisation aligns with how we protect and respect those we serve.

About The Role
We believe that the best way for people to understand and connect to wetlands is to experience them, so we bring awe-inspiring nature up close. At Martin Mere Wetland Centre, visitors can explore unique wetland habitats and the amazing array of birds, mammals and amphibians that inhabit them. Our volunteers help to welcome and inspire visitors and get to experience looking after our unique habitats and heritage.
It is a great feeling showing a visitor a bird they’ve not seen before or helping them to tell the difference between 2 species they’ve been struggling on for ages. That spark of enthusiasm can make such a difference!
We are currently looking for volunteers that can help us out as a Guide in the Hide on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Fridays.
