Our fundraising team leaders have the exciting and varied role of inspiring our fundraising volunteers to plan and deliver local fundraising events. Using their passion and imagination, they oversee a small team of fundraising volunteers who come together to raise the vital funds needed to cover costs such as veterinary bills and food. Our fundraising team leaders support their team of volunteers in all aspects of their roles, making sure our volunteers are happy, confident and supported.

Village Solar

In Malawi, a significant portion of the population lacks reliable electricity infrastructure, leading to limited opportunities for education, healthcare, and economic growth. Village Solar strives to overcome these challenges by offering affordable and dependable solar energy solutions that can alleviate energy poverty, improve living conditions, and foster sustainable development in Malawian villages.

Architect

Village Solar is looking for a creative architect or designer to support the design of a small community facility in rural Malawi. The project involves creating a practical and inspiring space that supports community training and local entrepreneurship.

We are looking for someone who can:

• Help conceptualize the layout and structure of the facility
• Develop simple design sketches or blueprints suited to local conditions and materials
• Collaborate remotely with our team to ensure the design is functional, sustainable, and cost-effective

If you have experience in community architecture, low-cost or modular design, or sustainable construction, we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for an experienced person to join WellChild as a Digital Trustee. They will be a trusted advisor to the Board and a supportive, critical friend to the Senior Management Team (SMT), helping WellChild navigate the evolving digital landscape.

Purpose of the role:

The Digital Trustee will advise on the use of AI and digital technologies to build internal capability and efficiency, improve service design, enhance data-driven decision-making, and expand our fundraising and communications impact. They will play a vital role in shaping WellChild’s digital and AI roadmap. • Community-building expertise within the social impact sector, with track record of meaningful stakeholder engagement

Mast Cell Action is a UK charity that supports individuals affected by Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS). We aim to raise awareness, advocate for improved diagnosis and treatment, and provide support to those impacted. Our Trustee Board oversees the strategic direction and governance of the charity.

Role Overview:

As a Trustee Board Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our Trustee Board. Your work will directly support the charity's mission to improve the lives of those living with mast cell diseases.

Key Responsibilities:

Organise and schedule trustee board meetings.

Prepare, circulate, and archive meeting agendas, minutes, and related documents.

Assist with governance and compliance matters.

Ensure accurate record-keeping of board decisions and discussions.

Provide general administrative support to the board.

Who We’re Looking For:

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Previous experience with minute-taking or document management

The Rees Foundation is a national charity based in Worcestershire that seeks to support adults who have, at some stage in their lives, been in foster care or residential care. Our focus is on the reality of many people’s transitions from being in care and moving into adult life, and the ongoing impact that care experience can have on a person's ability to reach their full potential.

Rees is resolute that care shouldn’t stop at 18, 21, or 25 years, it’s lifelong, and someone should be there to care. We listen, offer practical and emotional help, and we develop projects that really make a positive difference.

The role

The role of a Trustee is to ensure that the charity fulfils its duty to its beneficiaries and delivers on its vision, mission and values. The Board of Trustees are jointly and individually responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity, its financial health, the probity of its activities, and developing the organisation’s aims, objectives and goals in accordance with the governing document, legal and regulatory guidelines.

Our Board currently comprises members with a variety of skills in social care, strategic planning, finance and business.

As we have recently extended our registration to operate in Scotland, we are particularly keen to strengthen Scottish representation on our Board. We would welcome applications from individuals who have:

• Experience or professional understanding of the Scottish charity governance framework and OSCR regulations.
• Knowledge of the Scottish care system, including transitions, aftercare, or leaving-care support in a Scottish context.
• Connections to communities or organisations across Scotland that can help us better serve care-experienced adults in the region.

• Finance (management accounting)
• Digital systems

• Lived experience of being in care

We are looking for ambitious and passionate Treasurer to join our Team at Advicenow at a time of growth for the charity but also substantial social and economic challenges for our beneficiaries.

Advicenow has been providing legal support to individuals and communities since 2011. As a member of the board you will ultimately be responsible for the overall direction, vision and strategy of Law for Life. We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Treasurer to work alongside the Chair, Board, CEO and Finance Manager to ensure the charity’s financial wellbeing, accountability, and sustainability.

You will have the ability to innovate, to think strategically, while demonstrating sound judgement. You will help us to move on to the next stage of our three year strategic plan.

We are looking to appoint individuals who share our values in social justice and legal empowerment and would like to become involved. In particular, we would also like to hear from people who have experience in any of the following areas:

About the Role

At Living Reasons, we’re reimagining fundraising and entertainment events to be more immersive, inclusive, and inspiring than ever before. From sensory-based experiences to creative challenges and accessible escape rooms, we’re breaking away from outdated models and designing events that are fun, innovative, and impactful.

The Events Coordinator will play a hands-on role in bringing these projects to life. Working closely with the Events & Entertainments Lead, you’ll help plan and deliver exciting events, ensuring everything runs smoothly on the day and that participants and supporters have a memorable experience.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys organisation, teamwork, and creativity — someone who likes to see an idea grow into a successful event.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the Events & Entertainments Lead to plan and deliver specific events and challenges.

• Help ensure events are well-organised, including:

  • Preparing and checking event locations

  • Allocating roles and tasks to volunteers and staff involved

  • Coordinating logistics before and during events

• Support with Health & Safety, insurance, and accessibility requirements (with guidance).

• Work as part of a team of multiple Event Coordinators, collaborating and sharing tasks.

Learning and curriculum designers wanted to help East London Waterworks Park deliver its environmental learning goals.

East London Waterworks Park is a volunteer-led charity that has won a 2024 New London Architecture award and raised £2m towards buying land from the Department for Education to transform the 14-acre Thames Water Depot on Lea Bridge Road on the border of Waltham Forest and Hackney, into a new biodiverse park with natural swimming ponds, forest schools and community spaces. 

We are looking for volunteers to develop learning content and resources, such as lesson plans and educational materials, to support our environmental learning goals. This role will focus on creating school-friendly resources for our website and collaborating with educators to enhance our offerings.

The role would include:

• Developing online learning resources for our website (on-going project)
• Designing or tailoring existing lesson plans and activities for schools 
• Supporting the creation of ELWP’s Under 18s volunteering policy
• Supporting outreach efforts to promote ELWP’s existing learning programmes

Creativity, strong writing skills, and an understanding of outdoor or environmental education will be valuable. Our roles are quite flexible. We hope that people bring radical imagination, peace with nature, and courageous inclusiveness to the role.  

Your support will help young people and learners improve their environmental knowledge of design and research as well as contributing to our community-owned park. This will in turn provide a sense of stewardship over the land once the park is created and student's ideas have been built into the park. Creating learning projects with educational institutions will also help our charity with the strategy to buy the land through showing the value of our environmental education programme before we create the park. 

You will have a significant impact on the creation of a new biodiverse community-owned park with free access natural swimming ponds. By volunteering in this role, you will help shape the future of East London Waterworks Park as a community-led environmental learning space.
