The focus of this role is on preventing domestic abuse by provide support, advice and assistance to adults and their children affected by domestic abuse and are staying in refuge/safe accommodation and ensure that they are provided with secure, high-quality accommodation.
The post-holder will work to empower and support women and children to make positive choices and will establish resettlement services to support women and children to move on from refuge/safe accommodation.

Our mission is to help children and young people have a fair chance to be who they want to be. We do this by providing a safe home, increasing life skills and self-confidence, and improving emotional wellbeing and mental health
Our provide supported accommodation for 50 young people at risk of homelessness across two sites. We provide support to our residents to help them build essential life skills, identify their goals and work towards aspirations so that they can move on to enjoy fully independent futures. Our staff team comprises of Support Workers, night staff and two managers. Each Support Worker holds a caseload of residents and meets with them weekly to build a support plan and help them achieve their goals.
In delivering the role, you will work on a rota shift pattern, ensuring young people at the service have non-judgemental, objective, and supportive staff during the day. You will work with the Managers and the wider housing team to provide effective day to day management of our accommodation project. This includes delivering one to one sessions and group work sessions to assist residents to develop personally and socially in order that they grow in confidence and move towards independence. You will help to contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations. You will also support young people to safeguard themselves against abuse and risk.
Based on site, this role is on a seven-day rolling rota, including weekends and bank holidays. Shifts are currently 0730 - 1530, 1200 - 2000 and 1400 - 2200. There is a small amount of lone working, but you will get to know the team and project, along with extensive training prior to starting on a rota.

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will provide one-to-one support to Service Users in line with individual support plans to promote the development of life skills and overcome social inclusion by:

The Royal Hospital Chelsea is the home of the Chelsea Pensioners (known as In-Pensioners). It has a rich history and provides supported accommodation as well as residential and nursing care for approx. 300 retired soldiers. An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Royal Hospital Chelsea where we are seeking an exceptional individual to join the Health & Wellbeing team in a new role as Tenancy & Contributions Officer.
The Tenancy & Contributions Officer will lead on the delivery and continuing evolution of the tenancy agreement (known as the In-Pensioner Agreement). Part of the delivery of the agreement will be coordinating the process of setting and reviewing In-Pensioner’s personal financial contribution to the Royal Hospital. The role also requires the individual to support with benefit applications as required, as well as undertake other housing management related tasks on behalf of the organisation.
In addition, the role is also a core component of the recruitment process for new In-Pensioners being the point of first appeal should a candidate be unsuccessful in their application to join. The role is complex, but we have a vibrant multidisciplinary team that is there to help. This role will add tremendous additional value to how we develop and deliver our services.
Working closely with colleagues and partner organisations, the individual appointed will be required to have strong administrative and analytical skills as well as demonstrable customer care and communication skills that enable them to build effective working relationships with In-Pensioners, colleagues and other stakeholder alike.

About the team
Shelter North East has been based in Newcastle for over 25 years and we provide advice across 12 local authorities We have an advice team, a legal team, support services which are made up of a Housing First project, along with a DIYSA service and hub administrators. We also have a number of national staff who support our work, such as a Community Fundraiser, Community Organiser and an Involvement Officer. Our services are provided either from our hub base or through outreach locations, to give communities easier access to support and advice.
About the role
As an Engagement Worker, you will be pivotal in delivering Shelter’s purpose to defend the right to a safe home by enabling those we assist to enforce their housing rights. You will be a key member of our local team, delivering intensive support to a small number of individuals with multiple disadvantage to move from homelessness to sustaining a tenancy. Your role will be fundamental in supporting someone on their journey through Housing First. Mainly based in the West End of Newcastle, you will support up to 7 clients at any one time, applying the homeless link principles of housing first.
Also, you will be part of a wider team that promotes and supports housing rights awareness and activism within communities in order to achieve the North East Hub’s local priorities. These include ensuring people at risk of homelessness experience a positive, consistent approach and a legally correct response from local authorities and have easy access to safe, secure, and suitable housing.We are also committed to seeing that people experiencing multiple disadvantages have access to tailored services and appropriate accommodation so they can lead a fulfilled life. About you

Property & Facilities Manager

We are seeking a Property & Facilities Manager who will be responsible for managing the day to day running of the properties of Richmond Team Ministry and their facilities. The properties include three churches, their associated church halls, vicarages, Parish Office and investment properties.
We are looking for someone with property and facilities management experience including managing small building projects and related finance and budgeting. We are looking for 2 people to join us as Health and Safety Officer’s. You will be joining the St Mungo’s Safety and Qualityteam who are committed to maintaining high levels of h&s standards and ensuring the organisation meets its legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations while fostering a culture of safety and wellbeing for all stakeholders.
As a Health and Safety Officer you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of staff, clients and all relevant stakeholders who are involved with St Mungo’s operations. Other responsibilities include:
- Providing advice on health and safety issues across St Mungo’s.
- Supporting the development and implementation of health and safety policies.
- Conducting planned and reactive audits and inspections and monitoring incidents.
Our Central Office is based in Tower Hill, London which will be your office location. We support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for agile working from home, or other St Mungo’s London or regional locations. Additionally, you will be required to travel to different sites across London and the Southwest to conduct audits and inspections.

- A minimum qualification of a NEBOSH general certificate.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide timely and high-quality advice on health and safety matters.
- Experience of working in the housing sector, or other relevant homelessness, care/support services.
- A commitment to continuous improvement with a focus on detail and quality.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of people, including senior team members to ensure compliance and address areas of concern.

Would you like to gain experience in leading operations and developing a quality service?
This is a 1 year fixed term contract role.
This exciting pilot is a new approach to preventing rough sleeping, through the provision of accommodation with onsite specialist move-on support to those who are at immediate risk of sleeping rough. The service will provide a route and support for single homeless clients who are presenting to the Local Authority Housing Options or day centres and at imminent risk of rough sleeping, but not yet rough sleeping.
Where their homelessness cannot be prevented by the council and they are at imminent risk of sleeping rough, a referral can be made into the Rough Sleeping Prevention service.
The service will be based across three London locations in Islington, Lambeth and Kensington and Chelsea and staff will be expected to work across all three.

(Islington): Assessment hub space for up to 15 clients. Site will operate 24/7.
Each site will have staff delivering casework and support, providing each person with a comprehensive assessment of their needs and circumstances, and intensive specialist support to secure move on.
Onward accommodation offer will be tailored to a person’s individual circumstances, with a move on route identified based on what is suitable and attainable e.g. private rented sector accommodation, supported housing, Clearing House accommodation, reconnections in the UK or abroad and specialist accommodation for certain cohorts such as young people.
The service will work in partnership with the local authority to secure onward move-on options e.g. access the council PRS scheme, advocating for access to supported housing.
About you
This post requires a motivated and passionate experienced individual to support the service manager to lead, support and manage a team across three projects. As deputy Manager you will be supported by a Case Coordinator and a team of Assessment and Reconnection Workers, night workers and duty workers to:

Work closely with the service manager to ensure the effective day to day running of the service.

Provide supportive supervision and line management to Assessment and Reconnection Workers, and other team members including night workers and hub assistants; providing guidance on complex cases.

Build and maintain strong relationships, and work in partnership with local authorities, accommodation services and other relevant agencies to ensure clients move on from the service into the appropriate accommodation with the correct support in place.

Work flexibly to support the rough sleeping service, and our clients when they need us the most.
We are looking for an exceptional, dynamic and creative individual with excellent communication skills, and the ability to negotiate with a wide range of partners and external audiences, operate in a fast paced environment and be passionate to the overall aims and objectives of St Mungo’s.

Our client is looking for 2 people to join their dynamic and friendly Rent Service Team in Assistant Rent Service Partner roles.
This busy team processes Housing Benefit payments from 55 local authorities in the UK and collect over £45 million in rent and service charge plays a key role in the organisation to support clients to rebuild their lives. In this role you will:
- Provide administrative support to the Rent Service Team to facilitate early intervention of rent arrears overall.
- Be responsible for a caseload of up to 750 residents; working proactively to support clients in prevention of rent arrears within your designated caseload.
- Use your sound influencing skills in the recovery of former tenant rent arrears.
- Communicate effectively to provide high levels of customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
In this role you will be required to work for at least 2 days per week from their office in Tower Hill, London. This allows for training, in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities.
