About the role:
The Housing First Worker is responsible for coordinating and providing a personalised, trauma informed support service to people with complex needs facing multiple exclusions in line with Housing First principles to create long term sustainable tenancies by increasing independence and maximising connectivity with the local community.
Main Responsibilities Of The Job:
- Deliver wrap-around intensive, trauma informed support to people with multiple and complex issues within their own independent tenancies.
- Maintain accurate up to date records of progress against individual support plans, safety plans and outcome information. • Liaise with other agencies to facilitate access to support.
- Regularly review the person-centred support plan to update, record and monitor progress of caseload.
- Build and maintain networks with staff from other agencies to ensure the Housing First pilot is widely known and promoted.
- Adhere to good practice safeguarding procedures with a positive risk-taking approach to ensure the wellbeing of vulnerable people.
- Liaise with landlords to assist the person living in accommodation of their choice, including practical help with furniture, benefits advice and accompanied visits.
- Perform robust assessments of referrals for the service to ensure the service is provided to those that meet the eligibility criteria.
- Promote, and encourage peer involvement within the service.
- Complete dynamic risk assessments and maintain own safety by following lone working procedures.
- Comply with Homeless Oxfordshire’s policies and procedures.
- Contribute to a positive working environment in which equality and diversity are valued and staff are enabled to do their best.

Join Homeless Oxfordshire as a Housing & Recovery Worker in our 7-bed Pre-Recovery Project. You’ll provide high-quality support to people moving on from homelessness, working closely with Turning Point to deliver drug and alcohol recovery groups and peer support. You’ll manage risks, maintain a safe and welcoming environment, support clients into suitable move-on options, and build strong relationships with partners. Help create a positive, inclusive space where people can rebuild their lives while developing their skills, confidence and independence through meaningful activities and personalised support.
Main Purpose Of Job:
The Pre-Recovery Project is a 7 bed project that provides housing and recovery support for people that have recently experienced being homeless. We work closely with Turning point to provide recovery support through groups and peer led support . The HRW will provide move on support as well as working in close partnership with Turning Point around peoples recovery .
Main Areas Of Responsibility:
· Ensure the effective delivery of high-quality support and housing management according to Homeless Oxfordshire policies and procedures.
· Ensure the effective delivery of drug and alcohol based support to clients within the Pre Recovery Project service including group and peer support.
· Partner with Turning Point in the delivery of drug and alcohol based support to enable clients to work towards drug and alcohol recovery.
· Assess risk and suitability of referrals for the service.
· Be responsible for supporting and working with clients to achieve suitable move on and successful outcomes.
· Ensure support plans and risk management plans are documented and agreed with clients in line with procedures.
· Proactively and assess, monitor, manage and respond to risks.
· Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment across accommodation services; this may including room cleaning and clearance. Report any safeguarding concerns without delay in line with procedures.
· Manage challenging situations in line with procedures and to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
· Keep up to date and clear records and ensure information is shared with the team and external agencies as required.
· Maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders and represent Homeless Oxfordshire at interagency meetings, as required.

We’re looking for a dedicated and organised Community Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of one of our homeownership over 55s housing communities. In this role, you’ll provide help, support, and advice to residents, ensuring their wellbeing and promoting a safe and secure environment. What you’ll do
As a Community Manager, you’ll support new residents to settle in, provide information about the scheme, and promote health and safety through regular checks. You’ll manage onsite contractors, oversee repairs, and maintain accurate records of expenditure and income. You’ll process purchase orders, handle administration, and manage communal facilities. You’ll also work closely with Residents’ Committees, attend meetings, and liaise with statutory and voluntary organisations to signpost residents to additional support. Occasionally, you may need to respond to emergencies outside normal office hours.
Please note this role is 20 hours Monday to Friday, 4 hours per day. The office base for this role is based at Rose Acre Gardens.
What you’ll need
- Experience in housing management and working with older people.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with clear written and verbal communication.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and strong administration abilities.

Job Purpose
House to Home (H2H) is a newly developed programme, following the success of a similar project in Ireland. Through H2H, HFHGB aims to transform the homes of people in the community, giving them a say in creating a space that feels like home and setting them up for their future.
The H2H Supervisor will be responsible for the overall delivery and on-site safety of H2H projects, instructing and supporting volunteers to paint, decorate and carry out light-touch repairs within the homes. This is an important role, ensuring that volunteers feel empowered and supported, that projects are delivered to a high standard and that safety measures and procedures are followed at all times. The H2H Supervisor will work closely with the H2H Volunteer Manager and ReStore colleagues to plan projects and source items for the homes.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
Supervision and Coordination
· Leading H2H projects with up to 5 volunteers, typically over a period of two days per home.
· Providing training and demonstrations, such as painting and decorating, to all volunteers.
· Liaising with clients about their homes and their preferred décor and furniture requirements.
· Organising and ensuring the correct materials are available to carry out projects as required, such as paint, tools and items from HFHGB’s ReStore.
· Ensuring safety procedures are followed at all times.
· Escalate safety or safeguarding concerns within a timely manner.
Admin and Reporting
· Liaise with the H2H Volunteer Manager, ensuring there are sufficient volunteers and supervision in place to carry out H2H projects.
· Support the Director of Programmes and H2H Volunteer Manager to carry out relevant tracking and reporting duties, providing regular updates and inputs for the organisational Performance Framework.
Person profile:
· Demonstrable experience of supervising volunteer activities and workshops.
· Experience in decorating and home repairs.
· Good knowledge of risk management and health and safety policies and procedures.
· Experience of working with vulnerable individuals and an understanding of the importance of safeguarding and protecting beneficiaries.
· Physically able to move ladders, paint rooms and engage in light manual handling.

· Good verbal communication skills and the ability to engage volunteers, clearly explaining the value of their support on clients.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a new community based service supporting offenders as they transition from prison back into the community; rather than a custodial setting, where residents are able to go out into the community depending on their licence restrictions. As our Housing Lead, you play a vital role in supporting residents futures by working closely with housing stakeholders and residents to create tailored, effective move on plans. Some Key Responsibilities include:

About You
We're looking for someone who has knowledge on different types of tenancies, an understanding of the types of needs of our resident group, and able to provide tailored solutions to meet their long term goals. You will have a true passion to support in making a change, supporting rehabilitation, and providing opportunities to people to make positive changes to their lives, and reintegrate into society. You will have a general understanding of the criminal justice system, and/or have experience supporting people with multiple/complex needs. Further, you will have:
- Previous experience in coordinating/delivering activities and interventions with people from different backgrounds
- Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds and/or a good understanding of the sector
- Knowledge of risk management and risk assessment
- Knowledge of license conditions and public protection
- Knowledge of tenancy management, able to share knowledge with others in the team and residents
- Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs
- The ability to use, learn and adapt to IT at an intermediate level, including Microsoft and other software programs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral. Ability to form and build effective relationships and rapport with others
- Ability to influence and negotiate positive outcomes with others; Proactive in making decisions

Housing Justice brings together communities and finds solutions to homelessness by building personal connections, a sense of belonging, and creating justice in the housing system. We train and support volunteers to offer various accommodation options while building a network of local support. This includes providing personalised assistance to help individuals access relevant local services and address their other needs. About Citadel
Community Connectors forms part of the Citadel programme. Citadel is a volunteer-powered homelessness prevention project that supports people experiencing, or at risk of homelessness, to find a place to live, settle into a home, and feel part of a welcoming and supportive community. Coordinators recruit and train volunteers before matching them with a person referred for support. Coordinators and volunteers work closely with people who have been referred, to establish what matters to them and how best they can support them.
About you
We are looking for an outgoing, confident and skilled communicator, comfortable with building relationships, including for support, influencing people, and with public speaking. You will be a self-motivated, committed person with experience of working and/or volunteering in the homelessness, housing or voluntary and community sectors.

We’re looking for a dedicated and proactive Scheme Manager to provide high-quality management for one of our older people’s housing schemes. In this role, you’ll help residents maintain their independence, resolve repairs and maintenance issues, and ensure the safety and security of the scheme. You’ll also foster a welcoming environment that feels like home, not an institution, while building strong relationships with colleagues and external partners to deliver excellent services.
What you’ll do
As a Scheme Manager, you’ll support residents with day-to-day queries, assess their needs, and signpost them to specialist services where required. You’ll manage tenancy sign-ups, maintain accurate case records, and oversee repairs and estate services. You’ll ensure compliance with health and safety and fire safety requirements, supervise contractors, and dynamically assess risks. Job Summary:
This involves assessing, allocating and supporting our tenants on their journey with Stay and assisting successful move on. Teamwork is also a key part of this role to work alongside the wider housing team towards team and organisational objectives.
Role Specific Responsibilities:
· Deliver pro-active engagement with tenants to increase the potential for income collection by education, support and other interventions with customers as appropriate and in line with Stay’s policies.
· Provide advice to tenants on tenant and landlord roles and responsibilities in accordance with tenancy/licence conditions in face-to-face sessions or via the telephone/email/letter/text.
· Advice and guidance on issues such as tenancies at risk, whether through rent arrears, anti-social behaviour, property maintenance, unemployment, mental health issues and finance.
· Identify any/all factors that may be contributing to rent arrears: money mismanagement, budgeting issues etc.
· Give advice and assistance with housing problems including information on housing options.
· Take responsibility for a designated caseload of tenants requiring housing support including the identification of prospective tenants. Assist new tenants, particularly vulnerable and young tenants to set up and maintain a tenancy and be able to access support needed. Together with the customer draw up a personal housing plan.
· Assist tenants with security and safety matters within their home including door/window security, advice regarding household appliances and controls for heating, providing details of the repairs service and how to report and arrange repairs.
· Actively work with the tenants and colleagues around issues placing the tenancy at risk including breaches of the tenancy agreement: arrears, harassment, nuisance and other disputes when required.
· Build effective relationships with external agencies (both statutory and voluntary) and maintain a knowledge base of these to signpost customers as required. Share information, where appropriate and in line with data protection and confidentiality, to meet the needs of the tenants.
· Ensure the maximisation of rent collection in line with targets and reduce rent arrears on a continuing basis through the effective enforcement of the rent arrears policy, procedure and systems working alongside the rents officer.
· Work in a performance target-led environment and have a commitment to attaining those targets.
· Prepare timely and accurate reports.
· Identify and implement good administrative practices and procedures.
· Maximise income collection by providing advice on welfare benefits and make referrals to specialist services and agencies where appropriate.
· Maintain up to date knowledge of best practice in respect of all relevant administrative, legal and financial procedures.
· Respond promptly and effectively to enquiries or complaints with regards to rent or associated housing matters in accordance with Stay’s policies.
· Maintain appropriate and accurate records to comply with statutory and service-wide reporting requirements. Proactively monitor and report to the Housing Team Leader in respect of service delivery, performance indicators and targets.
· Maintain up to date knowledge of housing management practice and all relevant Stay and Housing Team procedures in to ensure the processes, systems, policies and procedures are adhered to and to contribute to the development of any reviews.
· Integrate tenant care into working practices through a ‘Tenant First’ approach, ensuring tenants are treated with respect and courtesy and experience a ‘seamless’ service. Adhere to Stay’s standards of tenant care in respect of answering correspondence, telephones and complaints.
· Maximise the use of information and communications technology to support the service and deliver efficiency improvements. Maintain up to date knowledge of systems and applications.
· Work collaboratively with the referral and assessments officer to evaluate applicants, conduct thorough needs and risk assessments, and perform reference checks before extending accommodation offers.
· Carry out an appropriate induction to the allocated Stay property once an offer has been made to an applicant.
· Liaise with The Rent Officer and Housing Benefit to ensure the customer’s account is active and the customer is aware of their responsibility of providing any information to ensure the housing benefit is paid and reduce all arrears.
· Liaise with Housing Benefit, Employment Services, Social Services, Probation Services and other authorities as necessary in relation to housing management.
· Ensure that tenants are compliant with and kept fully informed and consulted on matters affecting their Licence or Tenancy Agreements and they understand their rights and responsibilities: respecting other tenants, non-use of drugs etc.
· Ensure incidents/Safeguarding are fully reported and investigated and act to resolve the problem or take holding action until a permanent solution is found.
· Work with the Voids and Maintenance Team to undertake regular visits to the housing properties to inspect the accommodation and get customer feedback to ensure that repairs and cleaning of the buildings are carried out promptly to a high standard and that safety and security is maintained.
· Adhere to Stay’s Safeguarding Policies and take responsibility for making Safeguarding referrals to the relevant services and report any concerns to Stay’s Designated Safeguarding Officers.
· To address issues of social isolation and exclusion, facilitating client’s involvement in the community.
· To deliver person centred support through one-to-one sessions, group work and ad-hoc support.
· To record all contacts with tenants appropriately and in line with Stay’s policies and procedures and maintaining all relevant files and recording systems, ensuring information is updated.
· To produce appropriate written reports in a variety of formats to meet the requirements of managers, service providers and board of trustees.
· To assist tenants in acquiring the budgeting and social skills necessary to sustain accommodation effectively.
· To, where customers are at risk of eviction, provide advice and support and where necessary help them to seek legal advice.
· To actively promote tenants knowledge of and participation in Stay’s Client Involvement activity by promoting available opportunities such as membership of working groups, service evaluation, service changes and Stay’s Complaint’s, Comments and Suggestion policy.
· To ensure that clients understand their rights and responsibilities of the licence/tenancy to enable informed choices.
· To input and extract information from Stay’s IT systems, including client information.
· To undertake, as required, any other duties compatible with the level and nature of the post and/or reasonably required by the Team Leader, Service Manager and Operations Manager.

St Mungo’ s Hackney Move On service provides semi-independent accommodation consisting of 39 bed spaces split between 7 shared properties to people exiting short stay/long term hostel/supported housing provisions in preparation for independent general needs accommodation.
