As a Rough Sleeping Outreach and Assessment Worker, you’ll play a vital role in our Street Outreach Service and the new 24-hour Assessment Centre. One night you could be out on the street engaging with people sleeping rough; the next day you might be welcoming someone to the centre, creating a support plan, and linking them to housing and health services.
What you’ll do
- Carry out late-night street outreach and day-time reception shifts as part of a rota.

Set up by Southwark Council, the Homes for Ukraine project supports families and individuals from Ukraine who have been granted visas to live and work in the UK. The Housing Independent Gender Violence Advocate (IGVA) will be embedded within borough housing teams to facilitate the dual working that will ensure that survivors’ safety and housing needs are met. This includes:

· Specialist support for survivors at the moment of crisis

The role will be part of increasing the ability of partner agencies to recognise, reject and respond appropriately and safely to all forms of gender-based violence (including domestic violence, sexual, financial and emotional abuse, female genital mutilation, forced marriage and honour-based violence).
The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors. The job involves informing survivors of the full range of civil, criminal, housing and practical options that might increase their safety. The post holder will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support especially around complex housing needs.

In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in Dot Dot Dot’s impact in London and beyond. Your primary responsibility will be to create the materials that help us win new contracts and partnerships. You’ll analyse the business and social value of each project, turning insights into persuasive cases for action. From there, you’ll craft compelling pitches and proposals, working closely with our senior leadership team to deliver them directly to clients and partners.
This is a collaborative, cross-cutting role at the heart of our business development work. We are now looking for an experience Domestic Abuse Officer to provide an effective, efficient, and supportive service to women who are victims of domestic abuse providing emotional, practical and welfare support. As our Domestic Abuse Officer, you will provide a high-quality pro-active service to victims of domestic abuse and other forms of VAWG in either 1:1 or group settings delivering a service to those at medium and low risk.
As a Domestic Abuse Officer, your responsibilities will be:
· To work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse.
· To ensure that women are enabled to access their rights and are informed about their options.
· To reach out to survivors of domestic abuse and raise awareness of domestic abuse and local services offered.
· To support and implement the aims and objectives of Young Ladies Club ensuring that all work is undertaken in accordance with Young Ladies Club policies and procedures.
· To facilitate or co-facilitate the support groups
· To facilitate the provision of culturally sensitive therapeutic interventions and counselling services.
Required Skills and Experience:
· Demonstrable qualifications and/or experience in the field of domestic violence accommodation and support.
· An excellent working knowledge of key issues faced by black and minoritised women who have experienced Domestic Abuse and VAWG. Able to apply this knowledge at a practical level.
· Experience of identifying and responding to the risks to and needs of survivors of domestic
violence
· Experience of working with vulnerable women at least some of which are women or girls affected by domestic abuse and other forms of gender-based violence.
· A sound working knowledge of the practical, emotional, social and economic issues facing black and minoritised women and girls affected by domestic, and intimate relationship abuse
· Experience of multi-agency partnership working
· Knowledge of relevant legislation relating to Immigration, Honour Based Violence, Forced Marriage and FGM.
· Experience in running support groups in the community
