The purpose of the post is to take responsibility for the HR oversight, day to day HR matters and the overall HR management of the charity.

The role will require initially regular meets on the sites with the CEO & Senior Management Team to build relationships, understand current processes and to establish and implement a best-in-class HR service to managers and employees across the organisation, allowing the CEO & Senior Managers to focus on the essential strategic management of the charity. 

We envisage the first 6 months being a comprehensive review & reset of the charities HR policies, procedures and protocols. 

This will be a part-time role for 21 hours per week across 3-4 days. This role will be busy, interesting and provide an opportunity for you to make your mark within the charity. You will have line management responsibilities for a part time HR administrator who you will be working closely with. 

To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate that you have the necessary skills, knowledge and practical experience to perform effectively. You should also hold a CIPD Diploma-level qualification and have a thorough, up-to-date understanding of current UK employment legislation. 

Your strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail should enable you to manage documentation and records effectively, ensuring processes run smoothly and efficiently. 

We are looking for a self-starter and someone with a demonstrable positive approach that has the ability to always remain calm and consistent with personnel at all levels, but capable of dealing with difficult situations. 

It is essential you have excellent English speaking and writing skills. You must have demonstrable skills for writing policy, procedures, letters, reports etc., and you must also be able to work in Office365 with confidence.

About NUMbrella Lane: NUMbrella Lane (NBL) is one of few sex worker-led services in Scotland. It has been operating since 2022 after National Ugly Mugs (NUM) took over aspects of the programming from the charity that ran Umbrella Lane. Since then, the project has evolved to provide in-person health and wellbeing support to Scotland-based sex workers and host events and outings within the community with a focus on community connectivity, reducing isolation and addressing root causes of interpersonal and intersectional violence.

Role Summary: The main purpose of the Vocational Support Delivery and Development Assistant is to provide trauma-informed, non-judgemental vocational support to sex workers in Scotland. Support members to access tools, resources and pathways to income stability, career development and community-based opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 and group-based vocational support (CVs, learning pathways, financial literacy) in person and online
• Facilitate workshops and peer-led sessions
• Run regular in person drop in sessions, responding to community needs

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to help SARSAS realise it’s vision of a world without sexual violence, through supporting our ambitious fundraising and communications team.

Our Fundraising and Marketing Assistant will be engaging with our supporters, support our training programmes, raising awareness and fundraising campaigns and use their creative skills to produce compelling digital content.

You will directly support fundraising and comms with administrative support, including responsibility for maintaining accurate records on our CRM database.

As Fundraising and Marketing Assistant, you will also raise SARSAS’s profile through agreed external communications along with supporting internal communications within the organisation.

This is a varied and busy role within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Our Fundraising and Marketing Assistant will be passionate and creative individual with some previous administration experience and a keen interest in fundraising and marketing. You have an enthusiastic personality and are willing to learn with strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your own workload. Your strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills make you an ideal candidate for his role.

 About SARSAS

SARSAS exists to relieve the trauma and distress, and help rebuild the lives, of survivors who live in Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and BANES, who have experienced any form of sexual violence, at any point in their lives.

SARSAS also campaigns and raises awareness about rape and sexual violence to change the narrative about sexual violence and enable survivor’s voices to be heard. Partnership work with a range of agencies locally and nationally is a priority to enable social change.

SARSAS works to feminist principles: this underpins both what our service is and how it is run. Our work is guided by a trauma-informed approach which understands how traumatic experiences can impact on survivors and keeps an awareness of the effects of trauma at the forefront of our approach to support.

Salary: £ 25,500 pa FTE

Hours: 22.5 hours per week

Based: Bristol with up to 50% working from home available

One25 is a Bristol-based charity supporting women to move from crisis and trauma towards independence in the community. We are looking for an organised and proactive individual to take on the role of Support Team Assistant and play a crucial role in the smooth running of the charity and its core functions.

The Support Team Assistant will be part of One25’s friendly and skilled Organisational Support Team (OST) who together manage the charity’s administration, finance, HR, IT and premises, ensuring that One25’s systems are efficient and effective, and that staff work in safe and well-run premises.  This is a generalist role that would suit someone who is flexible, who thrives on variety and who enjoys finding solutions for things. This role would also serve as a good introduction for those looking to move into charity sector operations and administration. 

As the Support Team Assistant, you will have your own responsibilities, but you will also work closely with other team members across all aspects of the team’s work.  The successful candidate will be a team player who is proactive with a can-do, solution focussed approach, will possesses good interpersonal skills, will be organised with good attention to detail, and be able to use their initiative.  Above all though, they will be excited about working in a role that equips the One25 and its employees and volunteers to provide the best possible services to the women we work with.

As Head of Operations, you will lead JHF’s operational strategy and oversee delivery across operations, finance, people, systems, programmes and compliance.

You will line manage a small, committed team and deputise for the CEO when required.

About you

You will bring:

• Significant experience in a senior operational leadership role, ideally in a charity, youth, education or people‑centred organisation
• Strong financial management experience, including budgeting and reporting
• Experience leading small, multi‑disciplinary teams
• Confidence overseeing service delivery, compliance and risk
• Experience owning or leading organisational systems or digital change
• A values‑driven, collaborative approach and strong commitment to safeguarding young people
