The role

Summary of the role:

Due to the rapid expansion of Day One Trauma Support over the last three years, the charity’s infrastructure has needed to respond quickly to meet its changing demands. People Team Advisor
Job Role:
We need an exceptional People Team Advisor. This is a key post in supporting the management and staff of the FEC. The Forces Employment Charity to be effective in their roles and provide the very best quality of provision to our external delivery. The successful candidate will have responsibility and accountability for the full employee support life cycle and will be involved in all areas of the Human Resources function under the direction of Head of People. The post holder will be expected to work as part of the HR team in the provision of a comprehensive HR service. The post holder will be required to work closely with all employees at all levels
This is a full-time, 35 hours per week, hybrid contract reporting to Head of People. The successful candidate will be required to travel to the London office 2 days per week – immediate start date but will wait for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the provision of a high-quality People (HR) service to all stakeholders in all employee life cycle in generalist capacity including resource, employee relations, learning & development, and reward, in accordance with the consistent application of charity policies and procedures and compliance with employment law and best practice.
- Produce employment contracts and variation to contracts in line with authorised management requests.
- Manage and Support onboarding processes with People Administrator.

The role is a 12 month fixed term contract and sits in our people team, supporting the charity by providing a professional, comprehensive and proactive recruitment service. This contracted role involves a 6/9 months project to upgrade HR systems, aiming to streamline operations and integration across multiple international jurisdictions. This goal of this role aims to reduce administrative burdens, costs, and errors while improving processes, data consistency, and decision-making. This initiative is crucial for modernising the NGO's people management tools across the international organisation by integrating various systems such as ATS, HRIS, Payroll, LMS, staff survey, and finance for more efficient operations.
The role is based in London and will require presence in the London Office 1/2 days a week. The main deliverables are:

Working with the Chief People Officer, the role provides strategic leadership to their team in embedding a business partnering approach and working across the employee lifecycle with the aim of maximising employee engagement through proactive and expert management of employee relations supported by effective and proportionate people processes. Key Responsbilities
Embedding Business Partnering
• Oversee and coach the People Team (and to personally deliver where required) on an effective business partnering approach, including:
• Developing a thorough understanding of the Foundation and relevant business areas and their strategic plans.
• Building effective relationships with leadership teams of designated business areas to provide insights into people management strategies.
• Developing plans and implement tailored people management interventions to support business areas to achieve their strategic aims.

New Position: Due to the increase in REB memberships and activities, a new full-time events role is being created to support the executive team.
