Summary of the role:
The Income Generation Support Officer will provide day-to-day administrative departmental support and support to the department Director to ensure the successful delivery of the organisation’s operations in an efficient manner. This role will focus on generating reports, tracking progress, and ensuring all the necessary processes relating to compliance, finance and HR are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
About the Role:
- Maintain and improve departmental filing systems to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Prepare purchase orders and document payments according to Muslim Aid’s financial procedure and in conjunction with the Finance team to ensure speedy payment of invoices for internal / external stakeholders.
- Undertake small-scale project work including researching, analysing and recommending next steps.
- Provide support to the IGM management team in responding to correspondence, booking meetings, minute-taking, planning and supporting events, organising travel and preparing travel itineraries and relevant tasks as required.
- Track Managers delivery of action points to ensure timeframes and outcomes are met, escalating to Head or Director of IGM for further action as appropriate.
- Undertake full inbox and extensive diary management, ensuring an effective use of time and preparation of information in advance. Sort, redirect and action emails and review an effective ‘bring up’ system to brief and prepare the Director Income Generation and Marketing for meetings / events.

The International Programmes Department (IPD) is a busy, multi-functional team at the heart of the work of Muslim Aid in the UK and internationally.
The Global Programmes Assistant reports directly to the Global Programmes Manager and will primarily be responsible for providing support functions to the International Programmes team. At an exciting and key stage in our journey we have the opportunity for an Operations Director to join the Oasis Youth and Community national leadership team supporting local Oasis community charities across the country.

About the Role
Ally Pally is looking to recruit 2 Accounts Assistants to provide support to the finance team, working across purchase and sales ledgers in both the Trust and Trading Subsidary. You will hold an AAT qualification at level 3 or 4 or have equivalent work experience, with proven experience working in a similar accounts generalist role preferably in retail, hospitality or the leisure sector.

Key duties
Purchase
- Match invoices with purchase orders checking for completeness and accuracy
- Ensure direct debits and regular payment invoices are received, approved and processed
- Upload payments on bank ready for authorisation
- Send out remmittance statements
Sales
- Reconcile and record sales transactions from EPOS system
- Post receipts to customer account
Bank
- Record ank transactions in the accounting system
- weekly bank reconciliations
Payroll
- Support with the monthly payroll processing schedule
- Ensure timesheets are received from departments on time and follow up queries
- Prepare and upload chargeable costs journey into finance system
General
- Assit with year-end audit
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records including ledgers and journals
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets
- identify and mitigate financial risks such as fraud or financial discrepancies

As the interim Payroll Officer, you’ll take ownership of essential finance processes, from payroll and taxation to treasury and monthly controls, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data that helps shape the organisations strategic decisions.

In your role as interim Payroll Officer you will.
• Ensure the accuracy of financial systems and reconciliations
• Process monthly payroll and pension runs, including statutory sick leave
• Updating payroll and pension information
• Support audits, statutory accounts, and tax compliance (VAT, Corporation Tax, Gift Aid)
• Manage banking relationships, cash flow, and investment activities
• Partner with departments like HR to improve processes and drive efficiency
To make a success of this role, you’ll ideally bring:
• Part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or CCAB) or equivalent professional status
• A proven track record in in financial and payroll experience ideally in a charity or public sector setting
• Strong Excel skills and confidence with finance systems
• A proactive approach and commitment to continuous improvement
