HR ASSISTANT
The Human Resources Assistant is a vital cross-functional role at the intersection of HR, finance and administration. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Recruitment & Hiring Support
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes, including posting jobs, scheduling interviews and candidate communication.
- Support hiring managers with recruitment logistics, interview guides, and communications templates.
Onboarding & Orientation
- Prepare onboarding materials, including employment contracts, first-week schedules, and welcome kits.
- Coordinate technology and systems setup in collaboration with IT and operations team.
- Facilitate onboarding checklists and pre-boarding communication, including payroll enrollment and benefits documentation.
- Support new hire surveys, buddy program logistics, and ongoing onboarding feedback loops.
Payroll & Benefits Support

- Collect and verify payroll inputs (timesheets, new hire data, leave balances, salary adjustments).
- Track employee benefits enrollment, liaise with providers, and ensure documentation is current and compliant.
- Maintain secure and accurate records related to compensation and benefits in shared HR and finance systems.
People Operations & HR Administration
- Maintain internal people operations documents and templates (e.g., offer letters, onboarding plans, SOPs).
- Assist in contract tracking, records management, and file organization across RAP’s personnel systems. Respond to employee inquiries and redirect complex matters to HR or Finance leadership.

- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience in people operations, HR administration, or payroll coordination roles, preferably in a nonprofit, consulting, or international context. Fluency in English and French (written and spoken) required.
- Familiarity with European and UK employment and payroll practices; additional knowledge of other jurisdictions is a plus. Experience supporting onboarding, recruitment, and payroll coordination in distributed work environments.
- CIPD Level 3 or higher strongly preferred.

Role Summary
The Community Forest Trust (CFT) supports, enables and champions the work of England’s Community Forests, who are the leading woodland creation network in England. We provide a range of support services for the forests including finance functions, payroll and accountable body for funded projects.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Finance and Operations Officer to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with the organisation’s financial policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities
Finance Work
- Check, process and record payments in accordance with agreed procedures, administer invoices and expenses claims received, ensuring they are forwarded for authorisation in a timely manner, correctly coded and posted on the finance system
- Prepare purchase invoices, add to the payment spreadsheet ready for weekly payment run processing
- Run the Weekly Credit Control cycle, ensuring invoices are raised and sent on time and monitoring aged debtors, chasing late payments as required
- Reconcile the credit cards and bank account and ensure the financial system is up to date
- Support the Finance manager in month end procedures
- Draft monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and finance reports

Operations Support

Person Specification
Essential:
- English and Maths GCSE A-C or equivalent

- Administration experience, including providing support for colleagues, arranging meetings/events

About The Role
We are recruiting for a Talent and Careers Specialist to join on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week on a fixed term contract currently until the end of March 2026, with the possibility this could be extended (though this isn’t guaranteed).
As Talent and Careers Specialist you will support the Talent & Careers Manager to design, implement and manage the organisation’s apprenticeship and career development offer. The Operations Coordinator provides essential administrative, financial, and scheduling support across RAP’s international operations. About the role
As Support Services Manager you will support the Lead Myeloma Information Specialist, the Peer Service Co-ordinator and Support Group Co-ordinator to deliver their respective services. In addition, you will deliver personalised, empathetic, and accessible information and support to service users affected by myeloma and its related conditions (such as AL amyloidosis, smouldering myeloma, and MGUS).

JOB TITLE: Membership Executive (Wales and Ireland)
CONTRACT: Permanent, Part Time (21 hours per week)
ORGANISATION: Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK)
DEPARTMENT: Membership & Education
LOCATION: Home/Field based *with regular travel throughout Wales and Ireland, and to RLSS UK HQ, where required
REPORTS TO: Membership Manager
SALARY: Grade E £27,308 (pro rata)
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a self-motivated, personable, and enthusiastic individual to work as part of a team to support and grow our lifesaving clubs as well as developing and grow recognition of and participation in Lifesaving Sport.
Pivotal to the role will be the collaboration with external agencies and clubs in Scotland, to strengthen and publicise our water safety education throughout the region together with supporting the needs of clubs in the region.
KEY TASKS, ROLES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To build and maintain productive relationships with organisations involved in the field of water safety, particularly with Water Safety Wales, Water Safety Ireland and associated partners including attendance at relevant meetings
- To actively recruit and increase the number of clubs affiliated to RLSS UK
- Understand the water safety and drowning prevention geographical landscape across Wales and Ireland and actively seek to enhance lifesaving provision in areas of low activity
- In partnership with the Volunteering and Events Team and Sports Committee, continue to develop and grow participation in Lifesaving Sport
- Support clubs to achieve and maintain the appropriate accreditation in line with RLSS UK requirements and policies
- Support clubs to ensure they have the appropriate status, governance, and structure to enable them to be sustainable and effective
- Support clubs, branches and working groups to offer effective pathways for the development of talent, growth, and retention of members
- Support clubs to ensure they are compliant with the safeguarding requirements set out by RLSS UK
- To support clubs to have an affective and appropriate workforce in place, including supporting them to recruit, train and retain
- Contribute to RLSS UK’s Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion work to ensure affiliated clubs grow their capability to ensure every community enjoys water safely
- Ability to attend occasional evening events
OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead on and support ad hoc projects as required
- Contribute to the successful operation of the charity by undertaking such other tasks as may from time to time be required including all other duties reasonably associated with your role, as directed by the Line Manager.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Relevant Experience, Skills and/or Aptitudes
- Experience of working with volunteers and sporting clubs
- Experience of planning, prioritising, and managing a varied work programme and number of projects
- Experience of effective liaison with external stakeholders to deliver outcomes and impact
- Able to communicate effectively with people at all ages and all levels
- High level of computer literacy
- Excellent accuracy in numeracy and literacy
- Ability to act on own initiative and to work as part of team with excellent interpersonal skills
- A positive ‘can do’ attitude
Desirable Relevant Experience, Skills and/or Aptitudes
- An understanding of lifesaving and water safety sector/community
- An understanding of the aquatic sector and the structure of lifesaving clubs across the UK and Ireland
- Demonstrable experience of increasing participation in underrepresented groups
- Experience of working with governing bodies
- Sport or Community Development qualification
- Demonstrable experience of running or being involved in a sport club
- Ability to adopt a flexible approach to work to meet the needs of the role
