What will you be doing?
We are looking for 3 volunteer coordinators to join the coordinators team who will volunteer to support our volunteers in various roles. The volunteer coordinators will
- Help to assess organisational and programme needs to determine number and range of volunteers needed for particular projects
- Help to recruit, and assure the adequate training of suitable, reliable volunteers
- Co-ordinate the volunteers to ensure that there is always someone available to support all our services
- Help to create and distribute information regarding volunteer policies and procedures
- Monitor volunteers during their appointments to retain or replace candidates
- Meet and check-in with volunteers regularly to assess their progress and satisfaction, as well as to conduct evaluations or skills audits
- Help to induct new volunteers
- Maintain regular communication among volunteers and between an organisation and its volunteers, in order to share news, progress, and available positions
- Maintains a database of volunteers and projects and track metrics
- Help to promote the charity and its volunteer accomplishments
- Set up and arrange any relevant training required for volunteers
What are we looking for?
The Volunteer Co-ordinators role requires proactive and detail orientated individuals with an organised approach and an interest in supporting small charities. They will have good communication skills. The Volunteer Co-ordinators are responsible for the volunteer aspects of Burning Nights CRPS Support to ensure the smooth running of the charity’s services and ensuring that the volunteers are used optimally.
Our Volunteer Co-ordinators are also responsible for ensuring that suitable volunteers have DBS checks where needed and they are adequately trained to do their role working with our Charity Administrator.

About Candlelighters
Candlelighters provides financial, emotional and practical support to families affected by childhood cancer in Yorkshire. We support around 150 new families each year and our work ensure the whole family unit is supported in these extraordinary circumstances.
We support children and their families from diagnosis and throughout their journey, including financial support, practical help in hospital, much needed breaks, as well as emotional and well-being support at our Family Support Centre (The Square) and in local communities across Yorkshire.
Purpose of the Role
At Candlelighters we utilise social media to increase awareness of the charity and childhood cancer. We use it to attract new supporters, and encourage existing supporters to actively take part in activities to make a difference for children with cancer and their families – whether that be donating, fundraising or volunteering. We would love a volunteer to help analyse the effectiveness of our social media each month to help us continue to improve the effectiveness of our social media marketing.
Key Activities

About the Role
Victory Afghanistan is a US registered 501c3 charity based in Chicago, led by Afghan women and supported by more than 100 volunteers from 27 countries. We provide free online English education, mentoring and career pathways for over 850 Afghan girls and women who are currently banned from attending school or university.
We are seeking a highly motivated, strategic and entrepreneurial Career Pathways Manager to launch and lead a team focused on developing employment and internship opportunities for our senior students.
After completing our six level English programme and four semester mentoring course, students face three possible pathways:
1. Applying for international university scholarships abroad
2. Completing an online university qualification
3. Finding paid online work or remote internships — this is where you come in
Your role will be to build this pathway from the ground up, supported by a small team of Afghan volunteer project coordinators (each committing up to six hours per week). All are graduates or senior students from our programme.
You Will
• Develop a clear understanding of the online work landscape for Afghan women
• Explore safe and realistic income and internship pathways
• Identify potential partnerships with charities, NGOs, UN affiliates and socially responsible businesses
• Collaborate with Afghan project coordinators and our international leadership team
• Help shape long term systems for students to access paid work or meaningful career building experiences

We are seeking dedicated innovative thinkers, event superstar planners, and fundraising heroes to join our Events & Fundraising Team at Emerge Worldwide. Our goal is to develop impactful events that generate essential support to protect children and young people from sexual exploitation.

What are we looking for?
We’re seeking volunteers with experience in Events - designing, researching, planning, delivery, and Community Engagement. We are also seeking volunteers who have fundraising experience including working around sponsorship.
We are looking for volunteers who have:
● Experience in planning successful events and activities.
● Experience of fundraising in the charity sector is desirable but not essential.
● Reliable, organised with good timekeeping.
● Able to work independently and proactively as well as in a team.
● Clear and confident in communication.
● Excellent working knowledge and comprehension of written English.

Our mission is to prevent sexual exploitation and trafficking by advocating for policy reform, raising public awareness, and providing comprehensive support to victims/survivors. The organisation aims to assist vulnerable youth, particularly girls, and women, influence public discourse through education, and foster systemic change to enhance protections for individuals impacted by exploitation and trafficking.
Purpose of Role
The Communications Officer will play a key role in ensuring effective internal and external communication across Emerge Worldwide. This role will be responsible for producing high-quality newsletters, managing communication with partners, collaborators, influencers, and associates, maintaining organisational directories, and supporting the flow of information across departments. The Communications Officer will also manage calendars, support administrative needs, and liaise with the social media team to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment.
This position requires excellent organisational, IT, and communication skills, alongside a proactive approach to supporting the charity’s mission and daily operations.
Role Description - What will I be doing?
Communications & Engagement
- Draft, design, and distribute newsletters and organisational updates to stakeholders.
- Maintain effective communication with partners, collaborators, influencers, and associates.
- Identify and manage key contacts and opportunities for engagement.
- Share key information across internal departments and teams to improve collaboration.
- Work with departments to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
- Support the development of communication strategies to raise Emerge Worldwide’s profile.
Administration & Coordination
- Respond to general email enquiries and redirect them appropriately.
- Manage shared drives, organisational directories, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Coordinate and set up meetings, including preparing agendas and taking minutes.
- Support calendar management for the organisation, ensuring alignment across departments.
- Assist with the preparation of presentations, reports, and communication materials.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure smooth organisational communication flow.
- Work within agreed budgets and managing resources effectively.
Technical & IT
- Use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting, communication, and presentations.
