About the role

We’re recruiting for an experienced Digital Marketing Manager to steer us in the next stage of our journey. This is an exciting development of an existing role at Overcoming MS and will allow the successful candidate to make the position their own.

The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for delivering an innovative new digital marketing approach, through the innovation, creation and delivery of projects and activities which increase leads, donations and engagement for Overcoming MS charity.

 Key Responsibilities

The Digital Marketing Manager will work across several areas, including:

1. Conversion optimisation

· Increasing our donations and data capture - to enable us to continue the dialogue and create donations from a greater percentage of those who visit our website, or interact with other digital channels.

· Working with our agency partner to optimise key landing pages and signposting for conversion.

2. User journey optimisation

· Helping people find the right content based on data optimisations so that more people find what they need and understand what else the charity could offer them. Using HotJar for insights.

· Automated email journeys - Building customer journeys to support the Program pillars to build deeper relationships with people in our community.

3. Increasing reach and traffic generation

· Testing different low-cost digital reach opportunities.

· Including paid social, referral activities, calls to action across our channels, YouTube SEO and SEM. Working with an agency to optimise journeys from Google Grant, leading to clearly articulated actions (eg donations, sign-ups, click-throughs).

4. Testing to improve results continually 

· Email AB testing - Deliver AB testing to inform future email AB tests.

· Plan AB testing for email marketing projects, for the website, and other projects as needed to improve conversion rates.

5. Digital project management

· Testing new digital versions of courses and tools. Project management of website updates.

6. Campaign support

· Leading, innovating and supporting advocacy, communications and fundraising campaigns as needed to increase reach, engagement and conversions.

7. Gathering community feedback

· Continue the plan to access regular community feedback to influence Hub improvements and other digital channel improvements.

8. Supplier collaboration

· Working with our suppliers to optimise collaboration, reduce cost and increase impact.

About you

Strong digital skills

• A proven track record of managing digital products/projects/programmes which create value for end-users. 
• Strong working knowledge and experience in digital solutions.
• Experience in evaluating and improving existing digital programs.
• Significant experience working with 3rd party digital providers to create solutions that work for the target audience.
• Confident in Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
• Excellent understanding of AB testing to maximise conversion rates.
• Experience in using tools like HotJar (preferred).
• Strong analysis skills.

• Excellent organisational, planning, prioritisation and time management skills with an ability to work to deadlines and change priorities when needed.

We’re looking for a Senior Digital Engagement Manager to head up our Digital Team, taking the lead on driving forward the organisation’s digital marketing and communications. You’ll work with the Head of Marketing and Communications to develop and deliver the digital elements of the wider marketing and communications strategy, and line manage senior officers who lead the operations and development of our website, social media, email marketing and paid advertising activities. 

You’ll play a lead role in maximising digital marketing opportunities, raising the profile of the organisation, communicating information, services and campaigns to new and existing supporters, and using insights and data to drive engagement and growth across the organisation. You’ll be the go-to expert for major initiatives that require digital support, from communication campaigns to change projects. About the role
We are seeking an experienced individual to lead our volunteer development activity. Working closely with
the Fundraising, Delivery and Marketing teams, this is a varied role working with alumni and employee
volunteers to support activities in our member schools.

You will lead on the development of our volunteer community which is managed online through the Future
First Hub, and be responsible for developing and delivering a programme of activities that nurture
relationships with Future First’s diverse audience of volunteers, and increases support for the charity’s
fundraising and development goals.

You will have excellent customer service skills, be proactive and detail oriented and have the ability to
manage multiple projects at any one time. You will be confident in the use of standard office technology, as
well as experienced in the use of databases and IT applications.

Key Duties and responsibilities

• To be responsible for developing Future First’s volunteer relations strategy, and associated budget with a particular focus on the development of an engaged community, and a focus on the needs of employee volunteer schemes.
• To seek opportunities to raise the profile of the volunteer network, and grow its capacity and reach.
• To develop our work mapping and implementing recommendations against the Investing in Volunteers standard.
• To be responsible for running volunteer events and producing relevant communication materials.
• To participate in the strategic development of the Future First online Hub powering our school and volunteer community.
• To recruit volunteers and provide appropriate training and development opportunities, to include consideration of a volunteer board, and engagement activities targeted at the growing near peer volunteer community.
• To work closely with other departments to develop and implement their strategies for engagement.
• To work collaboratively with the fundraising team to explore and support volunteer philanthropy.
• To ensure that a robust monitoring and evaluation framework is in place for volunteer relations.

Are you passionate about improving support for families affected by substance misuse?

This could be the perfect role for you! The Family Support Worker is an exciting role within a growing and dynamic team, where you can help to make a real difference to the lives of unpaid carers in Lambeth. 

Having identified a gap in the identification of young carers and adult carers looking after someone with substance misuse issues, over the past year we have successfully piloted a project to identify and provide long-term support to these carers. We are now entering the second year of the project, and are looking for a new Family Support Worker to bring their expertise, enthuasism and ideas to the next stage of the project. 

The Family Support Worker will work across our Young Carers and Adult Carers Service to provide support to families affected by substance misuse, through whole-family assessments and reviews. The successful candidate will ensure that adult and young carers, and their families, have access to a range of emotional and practical support appropriate to their needs.

The successful candidate will have an understanding of working within the substance misuse field and an understanding of associated health and social issues. They will preferably have experience of working with both adults, children and young people. We are seeking candidates with a professional qualification in health & social care, youth or community work, and/or direct experience of delivering family focused interventions.

About the role

The Inclusive Climate Researcher is being recruited to support delivery on this growing portfolio of research and consultancy focussing on inclusive approaches to climate action, adaptation, mitigation and resilience. This work is closely aligned with GDI Hub’s work on inclusive cities and infrastructure, so an understanding of the intersection of climate, disability inclusion and accessibility in cities is important, and the post holder will likely work closely with inclusive design colleagues.

Initially, the role will primarily support a new project integrating disability inclusion in low carbon futures through research, training and technical assistance.

Role overview

This role will suit someone with research experience that is also looking to engage in practical work and drive impact.

The role will require knowledge of disability innovation and inclusive design in the context of climate change, including an appreciation of disability in the context of wider social inclusion and climate adaptation/mitigation. While the post holder will be able to work with subject matter experts, the ability to work across these diverse domains is essential. Good communication skills are vital as training and communicating knowledge to diverse audiences is a key part of this role.

The researcher will undertake research under the supervision and guidance of the project lead (GDI Hub’s Head of Research and Delivery). They will be responsible for research and analysis drawing on diverse research skills including policy review and strategy, desk reviews, qualitative, co-design and participatory methods, with the ability to extract key themes and provide actional insights.

Experience in and a passion for inclusive approaches to research with diverse user groups is key to this role. The researcher will be expected to be able to develop research protocols, instruments and methodologies to suit project needs, ranging from academic to consultancy-based research. Experience in academic research, including acquiring ethical approval, managing data and analysis and drafting quality academic papers would be an advantage. Communicating with diverse audiences through the preparation of presentations for clients and events, report and paper writing will be a large part of this role.

Translating knowledge into practice, technical assistance to climate projects, developing and supporting delivery of training on inclusive climate innovation, managing clients and networks of innovators and experts will form part of the role.

The researcher will support advocacy, communications and external engagement, promoting the work under their remit, including at key conferences and events, including UN climate events. They will also support the publication of papers aligned to the research and delivery to further increase the reach and impact of the work and seek to instil academic rigour as appropriate.

The role will be based within the Research and Delivery team and involve collaboration with Innovation and Academic colleagues.  The post holder will be expected to operate with reasonable autonomy, participate in client conversations, be collaborative and creative with a drive to make the world a fairer place, inspiring others to do the same.

We are looking for an enthusiastic project manager with experience of working in a hospitality or catering environment. The role will involve responsibility for overseeing the day to day running of the Garden Community Café, human resource management, food hygiene practices, health, and safety, ensuring that the café adheres to all of its legal responsibilities. Working on a vision for the Café in consultation with the CEO and trustees.

The café is a registered charity and so as part of our team you will be supporting the charity’s overall mission to enable the whole community to make the community whole. A key part of our work at the café involves providing the community a space where community events and activities can be hosted in order to promote community cohesion and a greater sense of belonging.

Who we are

The problem - On average, 160 young people are excluded from school each week. Once excluded, prospects for these young people are bleak, with only 4% achieving good GCSE grades, and 67% entering sustained education, employment or training compared to 96% of their non-excluded peers. This can be a pipeline to prison, with concerning statistics showing 63% of prisoners having been excluded from school.

Our mission - To ensure that young people who have been excluded from school are not excluded from society.

Who we serve - We support the hardest to reach young people in the most disadvantaged communities, each of whom are most at risk of experiencing school exclusion or are at risk of being excluded. Young people who are eligible for free school meals are 4x more likely to get excluded, along with black Caribbean boys. Young people with special educational needs are also six times as likely to be excluded as their peers.

Our work - We work in a number of different settings both during term time and after school. Our coaches lead small groups of 8-10 young people, using sport as a hook and mentorship as an anchor to develop their soft skills, as well as improve their physical & mental wellbeing. This, coupled with exposure to the work place through Career Taster Days, raises their aspirations and puts young people in a better position to enter sustained education, employment or training (EET) when they leave school.

Role Overview

We are looking for someone to carry out maternity cover for our Programme Manager (Midlands & North). The Programme Manager role purpose is to lead on all aspects of service delivery within the Midlands & North area, which currently covers the following hubs: Birmingham, Solihull, Leicester, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, County Durham, Liverpool, Warrington & Oldham. This is a 10 month fixed term role with the opportunity to extend employment at the end of the contract.

This includes accountability for the delivery of our in person services, digital delivery (Player Profiles), impact, employability, regional fundraising, regional partnerships, business development and people across all regions in the Midlands & North. You will directly line manage at least 3 people but be responsible for a wider team of circa 15 people.  

This is a varied and hands on role that will be full of purpose. You’ll be joining a supportive and driven team that works hard to help young people change their lives. As a manager you will play a key part in the leadership of the organisation and driving the implementation of strategic plans on the ground.

It is important to us that this role remains embedded within the delivery of our interventions, therefore the post holder will be required to spend up to 25% delivering our programmes or working alongside staff for quality assurance.

This is an exciting management opportunity for someone looking to use their skills and experience to make a real difference. Join our team working with unpaid carers across the London Borough of Lewisham to improve their health and wellbeing, and access support that meets their needs.

As project manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operation and delivery of this vital  service, using your experience to develop the team, sharing best practice and seeking creative opportunities to continually improve the support we offer unpaid carers. You’ll develop trusted partnerships with local stakeholders, practitioners, businesses and services to promote and embed the service in the local area, supporting the development of a positive ‘carer friendly’ culture in Lewisham.

This role will suit a people person who can quickly develop relationships, lead a team, and work closely in a supportive role with Adult Carers, Young Adult Carers and Young Carers. You’ll have overall responsibility for the Carer’s hub, where carers can drop in for advice and support, manage a small caseload, and support the delivery of the service’s range of activities as required, including respite activities, online groups, face-to-face sessions.

We are looking for a great motivator with excellent communication and organisational skills. Applicants should have relevant team or project management experience in social care, health, education or the voluntary and community sector. You will have experience of working with vulnerable adults and/or children and operational knowledge of multi-agency working. A practical understanding of barriers faced by unpaid carers, and an awareness of cultural differences will be key in this role.

This is a full-time role and the postholder can either be based in the community in Lewisham or our New Ash Green office, with travel to the other area/ office 2 days a week. The postholder must have access to their own ULEZ compliant car.

About the role:

As an Operations Manager you will:

• support the Deputy Head of Service to maintain the highest standards of service delivery, across a widely geographically dispersed team
• lead a team of Team Leaders to meet VS & Homicide Service standards & contractual requirements
• support staff & volunteers to keep them safe within their role
• working closely with a range of stakeholders

You will need:

• good organisational skills, able to prioritise effectively & experience of setting & monitoring key performance indicators
• effective communication skills & experience of leading and managing people who work in different ways
• experience of leadership & implementation of change management processes
• ability to build constructive working relationships
• understanding of government policy related to victims & the Criminal justice system
• knowledge of the impact of trauma and bereavement & the importance of trauma informed practice
• understanding of voluntary & statutory agencies
• knowledge of safeguarding practices
• to be prepared to travel across this large geographical area including occasional overnight stays

This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement.

This is an exciting 2 day a week role to be part of the growing Newham District Foodbank and Ascension’s Advice Service. On 9th June 2021 Ascension’s foodbank officially became part of the Trussell Trust network. We were named Newham District Foodbank, because our plan is to expand to more than one distribution centre to ensure that people across the whole of Newham are well supported. As part of the strategy, we have already secured funding to have debt and benefit advisors supporting each new distribution centre.

In this role you will manage the poverty response work of Ascension Community Trust, including its foodbank. You will provide high level strategic work, including liaising with donors, referral partners and other local foodbanks and support new partners into Newham District Foodbank. Your role will include fundraising for and reporting on the work of Newham District Foodbank, including local partnership funding. • Own the overall architecture domains for the charity,
• Produce, maintain, and communicate Enterprise Architecture artefacts, as well as developing policies and standards,
• Work closely various internal business leaders: including subject matter experts, project managers and Business Analysts, and external solution architects to deliver solutions for the organisation.

About you:
To be successful in this role you will need broad technical knowledge, with the ability to design end-to-end systems at a high level, with a clear understanding of a number of applications. We are using Salesforce and Informatica, so we’d love to hear from candidates with experience in these. You’ll also need to be a self-starter, who is passionate and motivated about delivering solutions and takes a proactive, strategic approach. It’s also important that you’re a people person, who is a great team player and excellent communicator, with the ability to engage colleagues from different parts of the organisation, and bring them on the transformation journey with you. Additionally, you’ll need a commitment to the aims and objectives of Dogs Trust.
