Lead Music Therapist
Coram Parenting and Creative Therapy Service
Contract: Permanent, 28-35 hours days per week, 4-5 days per week
Location: Coram campus, London
Coram Parenting and Creative Therapy Service offers art, music and drama therapy, therapeutic parenting, clinical psychology and family therapy to children and families at our dedicated creative therapies centre and in schools. We work primarily with adoptive and connected carer families, and children who have low level mental health difficulties. We are a trauma-informed service and have specialist expertise in neuro-diversity and children with special education needs. The well-established team has a strong track record in therapeutic interventions, including music therapy, art therapy and narrative therapy based multi-family groups for younger children who are adopted or with a Special Guardianship Order. We have a purpose built therapy building and have recently built a music studio for our adolescent work. We work within very diverse communities and we consciously challenge ourselves and our practice, seeking at all times to be inclusive and anti-racist. About the role
We are seeking an experienced HCPC qualified Music Therapist to provide leadership, supervision and management of music therapists and other creative therapists in the service. You will carry out therapeutic multi-disciplinary assessments and music therapy interventions with adopted and Special Guardianship Order families. This work involves trauma informed approaches, family work and life story work. The team is led by a Clinical Psychologist and provides creative, relational, and evidence based approaches, collaborating with wider networks and reaching schools and communities to inform child centred and trauma informed practice. The post holder will receive supervision by a highly qualified Music therapist, and be line managed by a Clinical Psychologist. The post offers a unique opportunity to work alongside skilled creative and family therapists. We seek to empower children and families using strengths based narratives, as well as accepting vulnerability and seeking opportunity for connection, strengthening resilience and support.
The successful candidate will be experienced at working with managing and supervising therapists, developmental trauma, and child and family work and operates with initiative and responsiveness in a dynamic professional environment. A background in CAMHS and/or a social care services would be desirable, with a good understanding of safeguarding planning and managing highly emotive situations. Experience of running multi-family groups would be an advantage. This role requires a supportive professional, a team player, who enjoys working in a diverse, respectful and challenging team.

Job Title: People and Culture Apprentice
Reporting to: Strategy Lead and EA to CEO
Location of work: Home based with the expectation to attend the office at least 2/3 days per week dependent on organisational activities, this expectation will be reviewed after the first quarter. JOB PURPOSE

We are looking to appoint an Internal Communications Officer who will play a critical role in developing and shaping the organisation’s internal communications for the staff of the Connexional Team.

With a renewed, strategic focus on policy, this position will play a leading role in establishing a policy function that will enable us to be the definitive and credible home of student voice at LSE. A function which will become even more important when we enter the second stage of the strategy in 2026, when student voice will become the central strategic focus of the organisation.
Sitting within the broader Student Voice Department (alongside the Advice Team), you would lead a friendly, talented team of four permanent Student Voice Coordinators (SVCs) who together account for all of the Union’s policy, democratic, representation and campaigning work, alongside a part-time member of student staff.
Variety is hard-wired into the role. In addition to overseeing policy and research output, you would be responsible for leading a democratic and governance structure that is so innovative it is currently the source of an international academic study. Accountabilities here would include delivery of our biannual student elections and sector-leading Student Panels.
You would also be responsible for leading on how we support our elected student representatives and campaign groups; and for the Union’s academic representation work.
Given the breadth of work undertaken within the team, expect there to be plenty of opportunities to grow, develop and pick up new skills outside of the main responsibilities of the role.

This role is fast-paced and so you’ll need exceptional organisation and planning skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities at once in a calm, effective manner.
The team you will be managing cuts across several areas and contains five people. We’re therefore looking for a confident leader with line management experience who is able to inspire, motivate and develop a talented and ambitious team to reach their full potential.
You will be a kind, supportive leader who cares about the people in their charge, but who also has high standards and that is able to performance manage when needed to ensure the team meets expected standards and delivers expected results.
We are looking for someone with exceptional written and verbal communication skills; an ability to interpret complex information and present it in a concise and accessible manner; and with experience of delivering high quality research and policy output.
With responsibility for leading on several projects, both within the team and cross-organisationally, prior project management experience and knowledge will be important, as will the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
Knowledge or prior experience within Higher Education or the student movement would certainly be an advantage, but is not essential and we very much welcome applications from those outside students’ unions who have transferrable skills and a who possess a willingness to learn.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reports to: Head of Support and Care (Registered Manager)
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, usually Monday - Friday 9 - 5pm
NB Service Coordinators are required to balance management administration with being present in the group's houses. This necessitates some occasional evening and weekend work to be agreed with their line manager.
Salary: £35,000 per annum (with an increment in the second year)
Place of work: L’Arche London community houses and office (all within a walking distance, based in West Norwood, London)
Main purpose of the role:
- To lead and manage the Oak Group, one of three groups in the L'Arche London community, comprising of a range of services for people with learning disabilities and its team of assistants.
- To lead the service delivery within this group in line with L'Arche values, standards and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission [CQC].
- To play an active role in the leadership of L'Arche London, helping shape a vibrant community of people with and without learning disabilities.
Leadership and People Management:
- Supervise and work with the Deputy Service Coordinator to lead a team of 15 Support Assistants. Ensure each assistant in the group is regularly supervised, trained, and appraised, and that action is taken to effectively manage performance issues.
- Understand the requirements of the CQC and other relevant legislation and ensure that all applicable standards are met including adult safeguarding.
- As part of the Community Coordinating Team, implement appropriate policies and procedures, promoting the wider L'Arche mission, vision and values.
- Be on the On-Call rota every 6 - 8 weeks, with flexibility as service requires. (Additional pay provided.)
- Contribute to the recruitment/ interviewing of Assistants.
- Provision of Support to People with Learning Disabilities
- Ensure the provision of high quality personalised support for each person with a learning disability in the Oak group, implementing Person Centred Support Plans to maximise independence, personal choice, and autonomy.
- Enable each person with learning disabilities to feel at home, encouraging both individuality and belonging, ensuring that everyone is informed of their rights and responsibilities as a member of the Community group and as a tenant.
- Support each person to manage various aspects of their life, from their personal budgets to their health and well-being.
- On occasion, provide one-to-one support to people with learning disabilities at home or in the community.
Administration and Management
- Maintain high standards of communication and record keeping, ensuring an effective flow of information within the Group, with the rest of L'Arche London, the local community, family and professionals.
- Work closely with the Deputy Service Coordinator to oversee the work rota.
Creating Community
- Attend and organise Community events and celebrations relevant to the role and foster a sense of welcome for all visitors and friends; ensure a regular rhythm of prayer and reflection in accordance with the traditions of L’Arche.
General
- Attend training and personal development courses as required.
- Any other reasonable duties commensurate with the post which may be required from time to time.
What We Offer
This post is offered subject to a probationary period of 6 months; 3 clear references; a completed work history form; a satisfactory and up-to-date enhanced DBS check; and a satisfactory right to work check as appointees must have the right to work in the UK.
There is no additional pay for overtime, but Time off in lieu (TOIL) will be given and agreed with the line manager when circumstances require the post-holder to work extra hours. TOIL should be taken within 2 weeks of being accrued.
All Service Coordinators are the on-call rota for 1 week every 6 - 8 weeks. There is an additional payment of £56 a week for being on-call.
Paid holiday allowance of 33 days leave per year. (This total is inclusive of 8 days in lieu of bank holidays).
Service Coordinators will be provided with a programme of personal development and training including opportunities to study for QCF qualifications in social care and leadership development through L'Arche in the UK's leadership development programme.

About the role
The London Library is planning a major, multi-year building project and is looking for a Senior Facilities Officer - Project Management to work within the Buildings and Facilities Management team to help support and deliver the project.
As part of a small, hands-on team, this new role will also support the Library’s maintenance and improvement programmes, arranging contractor works and providing liaison with colleagues across the Library. The post reports to the Buildings & Facilities Manager. Some weekend and out of hours working will be required.
About you
You will hold an appropriate formal qualification within a relevant discipline, with previous experience of facilities project management, preferably in the charity, cultural or not-for-profit sector. A proven background in either FM or managing numerous refurbishments and maintenance projects is essential, along with experience of working in construction and maintenance environments, understanding and compliance of H&S law and construction regulations.
Experienced in managing budgets and project finance, the ability to build client and stakeholder relationships using exceptional inter-personal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to achieving organisational goals on time, whilst working accurately and methodically, are all a must.
